You see! We are watching. episode what is this one again? |
True confession.Intense drama.The missing Nigerian President,episode 45 week 4,dun dun dun dun, |
otokx:Thank you my brother, how many people in the 150million people fly local planes not to talk of long haul flights to the US.Am just sad for my friends and relations who mainly live in Europe. |
Until he becomes acting president,we have waited 40 days and forty nights at the foot of the mountain of the Lord and its enough for miracles to begin to happen |
Na the same people. Why couldn't the anu ofia give Nigerians a video conference new year massage? Or we don't deserve it after all the 40 days dry fasting and prayers, chei, chineke muooo,Ndi ga agbu mmadu |
Le Moor:You don't know what your are talking about. If you are in the know, you wouldn't talk like an ignoramus.I am against terrorism in its totality but that should not make the US lord it over certain countries. If you listened to Al-Jazeera inside story yesterday on this issue of the notorious 14 you would even see how many US experts and citizens are condemning this Obama's cation.Complicating it with inclusion of Cuba.It does not translate into good policy. Some weeks ago I stumbled on some documents which was a security report sanctioned by the US on securing the Gulf of Guinea which is a major source of good oil for the US. Ok If US can let them stop buying over 40 % of Nigerians oil which translate to over 10 percent of energy used by the US.That means about 30 million US citizens who drive gas guzzling cars have to stop driving. Then see oil prices skyrocket to over 200$ and then we see whether there will not be any visible impart. |
It is glaringly that the problems bedeviling Nigeria are far from over. Even if Yar'Adua recuperates and returns to Aso Rock he is bound to get back to hospital bed sooner than we will expect. The status quo of our dear nation will remain the same till 2011 elections or even deteriorate further unless the Invisible hand decides otherwise or we resort to the doing right options.Three weeks before Yar'Adua become ill and jetted out to Jeddah, I appraised his presidency and came to a conclusion that his resignation was the best option he could undertake in other to save Nigeria(nigeriarevolution..com).His health problem topped my 10 point discourse and I shared it here on Nairaland.com and some other internet media sites. Since Yar'Adua's incapacitation,we have lived in an intense hollywood styled drama playing out in different forms on daily basis. Firstly, the President refused to hand over to his vice-president after some days when it became obvious that he has created a vacuum in Aso Rock.We were 'ordered' to prayer more than ever before for Yar'Adua's recovery to ask God to grant him grace to return in the nearest future. Our over $40bn annually generated revenue could not guarantee his health. After waiting for sometime,Nigerians woke up to the underlying reality that Yar'adua was not coming back soon and then decided that was it was time to ask Mr. President to hand over to the VP.When the news of the overly incapacitation of Yar'Adua become common knowledge and the probability of his return was very slim, many Nigerians joined our league, the league of those who wanted him to resign and take care of his failing health. The issue of succession which constitutionally falls on the VP turned an issue of contention. The north cried out that Yar'Adua's resignation will distort the political equation of Nigeria. Rumors were rife that the VP was pressured to resign so that a northerner would be made the VP that will eventually assume power if Yar'Adua resigns. As the drama continued, rumors of coup d'etat to be orchestrated by the north who are bent on even subverting the constitution enveloped the nation. We were still watching the thriller when the famous Nollywood styled AGF who does not know the content of the laws of the land; in that he does not know that the acronym FEC is as illegal as the Yar'Adua government informed Nigerians, who were screaming at the rooftops for Yar'Adua's resignation, that the president can rule from abroad for as long as he deems fit from a newly created microcosm of Aso Rock in a Saudi hospital private ward even if the period of his leadership stretches beyond six months. The opposition and concerned Nigerians have also since then employed various avenues for their clarion calls of resignation of our 'beloved' president, Nigerians have been asked and summoned to sign petitions upon petition. Men of God took their turns to pray while some being tired of praying began speaking their minds explicitly. The 'G' this or that which has never made serious impart on the actions of our leaders who have developed tough skin to such insinuations surfaced once more.Opposition and civil coalition groups added steam to their calls while employing all forms of communications including the news media and internet. What I have not yet witnessed though is a serious act such as demonstration to support all this frivolous clamors. As the hullabaloo was going on,boom!another catastrophe hit us like an asteroid that seeks to devastate mother earth;a severe heart attack that seeks to paralyze its victim. That news dwarfed the president's health issue for some days partly because it carried along with it a global impart and also because it was and is evil in nature.A misguided radicalized, over pampered,foolish,self-alienated and destructive, religious bigot Muslim Nigerian boy who had all the good things life could offer tried to blow up a US plane. All in the bid to do battle with the enemies of God and translate into the next world where he will swim the rivers of milk and honey with 72 virgins waiting gracefully at the shore of that river to cuddle him in their hands once he arrives.Nonetheless,he did not make it but will possibly get freaked by some prison mates in a US jail for a long time to come. The outcome: we have ingloriously joined the 'notorious 14' group of terrorist nations. The fallout, consequence, impart and stigma of the action will live with us for a long time to come. As we were pondering the effects from the wounds of every Nigerian being labeled a terrorist and getting in 2010,the beginning of another decade,we were authoritatively informed that our 'dear' President's living or dead body was nowhere to be found. He was not lying at the purported hospital bed where he was said to have been hospitalized according to the State House. This is the highest level of consternation in high places. As at yesterday, certain Nigerians have concluded on taking a trip to Saudi Arabia, only if they have not left,to unravel the 'mysteries of the missing Nigerian President.' Is he dead or in a state of coma? We are yet to get informed on that. As we all know, there is a never a dull moment in our zig-zag history,we all await the uncertain and inevitable. Since last year,I have always been outspoken about the fact that Nigerians exist as one of the most if not the worst cowardice nation on planet earth as at today. Especially among the youths who posses the necessary energy and strength to ignite change and put our government on their toes and begin to improve the lives of ordinary.Nigerians are more interested in bickering, tribalism, exchanging words and raining insults on one another and engaging in those issues that will only give those in power more leverage to continue their plundering and systemic ra pe of our nation. Undoubtedly, because of this cowardice, since I posted a suggestion for a Nairaland political conference few days ago, only 120 have viewed that post and only few that commented and indicated interest. Whereas another post I made on Nigeria being listed among 14 terrorist nations have attracted more than 1000 views and over 50 replies while many more are still engaged in war of attrition on issues that belong to the past which we can not change no matter how much we talk about it and moreover the too much talk have zero positive impart on our lives. Albeit,in the past one month, these two issues have dominated the news and has attracted more attention than any other news on Nairaland in the past one year and possibly since the birth of Nairaland in such a short period if am not mistaken. Those issues being the Nigerian bomber and the deteriorating health and sudden inability of the press to locate the body of our president dead or alive.I heard He called yesterday but it could be anybody.Let them show us his picture. He is our President. Do we think that we can achieve positive change as we all envisaged and desire by just typing out insults, contribution and suggestion on Nairaland pages and other online and media sources? Have we taken time to study the leadership of Nigeria in our lifetime and try to understand Nigeria from the pages of history? I am 28 years old and I started being aware of Nigerian politics about 12 years ago from the days days of Sani Abacha. Although my memories of the Abacha years were vague per se but I came to fully grasp certain things a few years later when I became fully engrossed in student union politics in my alma mater. However,a full understanding of what an oppressive regime was like was registered in my subconscious during that Abacha reign. As I have always affirmed,if not for God,Abacha would have been ruling Nigeria till date because he was ruthless and determined, nothing could stand in his way.He was ready to toe the line of most African leaders of his time.He alienated the whole world,he didn't travel and had an iron grip on Nigeria. The West loathed him and all the freedom activists were helpless and sort asylum abroad from where they vented their powerless rage at him. One of the high points of that Administration was the Anambra man orchestrated Two Million Man March in March.Under the watchful eyes of the divine,he was disposed of by the an Invisible hand. We woke up one morning to hear from BBC that Abacha ate some apple while sleeping with some high class call girls and that was the end of the story.Another episode began in the history of Nigeria. We suddenly found ourselves in the era of the man I still consider the most noble man in the history of modern Nigerian. General Abdulkadair Abubakar kept to his word and returned the nation to civil rule in a period of not more than 2 years from the day he took over the mantle of leadership. The office of the President of the federation was conceded to the Yorubas in other to appease Abiola's ghost-the acclaimed winner of the 1993 Presidential elections still regarded as the freest and fairest election in our history- and make up for denying one tripod of Nigeria the chance to occupy that exalted office in time past when it was due them in the June 12,1993 presidential elections. The luckiest man in the history of Nigeria from the Western region was favored to be president. I would not go into details of why I consider former President Obasanjo the luckiest man in our chequeared history spanning 50 years. The mere fact that this man was able to assume the highest office of the land twice in a space of 20 years, first as a military head of state and then as a civilian president makes him the luckiest man in our 50 years of nationhood.Even those men that fought for our independence were not so lucky.Instead of distinguishing himself and creating a place for himself in the annals of Nigerian history he chose otherwise. Today former President Obasanjo is vilified mainly because he wanted to translate himself into a 'Nigeria King' by seeking tenure elongation beyond the two terms stipulated by the constitution. Since OBJ as he is popularly referred to left office,he has not told Nigerians what motivated him to become that power hungry. If he has ever done so,I have not read about it. Although it belongs to the past but OBJ still remains a power broker,an iconic figure in determining the future of Nigeria. He personally handpicked Yar'adua and is still playing a big role in our present predicament on who succeeds Yar'Adua. The irony is that an assessment of the Obasanjo's eight years government projects him as a super-achiever compared to this present comatose Yar'Adua dispensation. Fortunately today, most Nigerians are politically aware more than ever. The events of the past two and a half years of President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua is very fresh and is eating Nigeria up daily. Its over 40 days that our president left the country to one of his favorite destination of medical tourism,Saudi Arabia for medical check up which has entailed his hospitalization and a state of incommunicado ever since. We have not heard a single word from the ailing man since he departed. Some famous Nigerian requested that he address us from his sick bed but it has not been possible till date. Rumors are rife that he may be dead and Nigerian Tribune has authoritatively informed Nigerians that they cannot locate Mr. President at the purported King Faisal hospital in Jeddah where we were told that he is hospitalised. The drama of the past forty days have received extensive and maximum media coverage to the extent that even mad people are very much aware of the development.Foreign media cannot ignore the giant of Africa,Africa most populous country,so they have full coverage of the situation and more so in this era where information is at our finger tips,we are overwhelmed and bombarded with the news everyday from different directions. Talking about national development seems out of place nowadays because it is equivalent to expecting the impossible. Recently Saharareporters.com published a mock report card of Yar'Adua administration. The citizens amiss the global crisis are feeling the full weight of a confused and sick government. The over 70% of poor Nigerians living below the poverty line are suffering and gnashing their teeth while unemployment is very high. Crime rate is on geometric increase. The amnaesty has failed. Nigeria has failed its citizens.A full detail of the state of the nation can be gotten from the ordinary Nigerian on the street and a bigger snapshot from the TV and newspaper media scattered around the country tells the tale better. We have become an object of ridicule among African nations and especially our West African counterparts who have never hidden their hatred for Nigerians amongst their citizens.ECOWAS has declared the current tenure of Nigeria ECOWAS Chairmanship anchored by Yar'Adua as a disaster and the worst in its history. The international community have become tired of complaining because they cannot alienate us completely because of our 'crude oil soup' needed to run the kitchen of their economies. Our image in the comity of nations has been ruined and shattered further beyond repair by the attempted terrorist attack of a radical Muslim son of a rich Nigerian Banker from the Northern region who sought to blow up an American plane. We have been listed among the 'notorious 14' by the US and indeed the West. The totality of the whole scenario is a disaster and a plethora of hopelessness for over 150 million Nigerian citizens. Our predicament is further complicated by the inability to locate the president dead or alive. The level of consternation is at its peak and uncertainty is our lot. The questions I ask myself are and fellow Nigerians are: is there hope for Nigeria and its citizens? Are we ready for a regime change that may possibly herald a military rule and bring less freedom? Is it not time for the youth to speak out and secure their future because whether we like it or not in the near future, this generation of leaders will give way? Is it not time a sought of revolution such as the Velvet or Orange revolution experienced in Europe is orchestrated? For all those who are calling for disintegration of Nigeria, are they ready for the conflicts that may ensue and stomach the many loss of lives that we may encounter? Why can't we the youths, activist, civil coalition, labor and all concerned citizens stand up and rally millions of Nigerians to demand positive change in peaceful demonstrations? Is it not time Nigerians demand positive change by any means necessary, Malcolm X acknowledged? If alone we can effect any change in this nation and avoid bloodshed,it must be done in an elitist style. That is why I will expect all the concerned people of Nigeria, all the political juggernauts, elephants,'ediabali' analyst and contributors on Nairaland to come together and begin to agree on salvaging this nation through an elaborate save Nigeria conference unprecedented in history.I envisage a political conference that will come up with plans of bringing out 10 million youths composed of students, workers, businessmen etcetra who will storm the streets and demand the full implementation of the UWAIS report among other issues. It is very obvious that the root cause of the problems of Nigeria is stolen and rigged elections because our leaders are not accountable to the citizens. In our country, we do not have the left neither do right exist. Our parties lack political ideologies. They are organized syndicates, organized crime gangs who serve as conduit for looting the nation dry christening their acts official corruption. Nigerians are not politically aware of their rights and ability to compel their government to lead them because of illiteracy and poverty. This trend is not strange to African countries. In developed countries where the average farmer reads the news paper on daily basis and is politically aware,he is likely to know that the government is there to serve him while he pays his tax. That is why I have always said that the greatest ignorance of Africa is the inability to come to the reality that for Africa to make progress,we must invest in the education of the African people. However we will not wait until the reluctant leaders educate out people,we have to take the bull by the horn as enlightened people to serve as agent of change in our society. If only our leaders get to Aso Rock through votes of Nigerians amidst other political compromise that will not suppress religious and ethnic identity, things will be different. If 10million Nigerian youths storms Abuja and all state capitals and demand for the full implementation of the UWAIS Report, the President will do what is right. It is until recently after several soul searching, analysis and juxtaposing of different political ideologies, reading great leaders and studying different governments of the world that I realize that choosing the right leader by popular vote when it involves a democracy is the only route to prosperity. Obama affirms that prosperity is directly correlated to leaders getting to power through popular votes which makes them accountable to their citizens. When a leader knows that he clinched power with the votes of the people he will not derail knowing at a certain time in the future,he will stand for elections to renew that mandate. Whereas in other successful countries which do not practice democracy where monarchies, communism and other forms of government exist,I discovered that either through revolution and sheer determination to evolve great nations, leaders have put aside their personal interest and put the interest of their nations at the fore front of their agenda.Shall we continue to allow a certain political class who are recycled and could have indeed accomodated the rich Nigerian Bomber with membership open to a few who by chance happened to break into the cycle or buy their way in continue to thwart and dismember Nigeria. In the words of Martin Luther King Jr "I have a dream." I dream of a country which will become the true giant of Africa.I still believe in Nigeria unless the Divine says otherwise. I wish to live in not a distant time see a Nigeria where the right things begin to happen,a country which restores the hope of the masses with the huge human and material resources inherent;a nation that will not continue to disfranchise its citizens.Where the news of massive official corruption will end and accelerated development takes over.A country where opportunities for the citizens will be endless. What many Nigerians don't know is that we are the biggest and largest market in Africa and 42nd worldwide and we stand to become an economic hub if we get things right. I believe that it is possible for people to sort visas to visit Nigeria. Many a times I dream of a developed Nigeria with Abuja as the de facto seat of power of Africa,Lagos as the New York, tourist hot spots of Calabar and Plateau while Nnewi and Aba emerge as the manufacturing hubs with over 30 other prosperous cities scattered along the length and breadth of this nation and our over 100 universities educating the improvised people of Africa. If we get it right by next year general elections provided we survive this year as one nation,by the end of the decade we should be closer to that dream nation that will be respected in the comity of nations. When I talk of end of this decade,I do not mean Vision 20 2020 because I do not buy into it and we know that as at now it is stalked in a hospital ward in Jeddah. It is in the league of the past visions we have been harboring;we deserve reality and less visions. If any group of people are going to change this nation,it is going to be a group of progressives, young people especially within the ages of 21 - 45. Most people in this group have an average of 30-50 years to live and I don't think that we can afford to continue in this state of despair and hopelessness and our leaders inflicted destructiveness. I believe that we can do it.We cannot allow the progress of this nation be stymied by a certain class who have in the manner of secret societies sworn allegiance to the god of destruction. We are so lucky that the internet has given us endless opportunities to reach out to ourselves and big kudos to Seun for creating Nairaland where we can find hundreds of like minded youths, the FOI coalition and other mediums who can gather over a weekend to change the political landscape of Nigeria and position the nation for a great future. We must salvage Nigeria unless fate says otherwise. There is never a dull moment in this nation and who knows what the next big news will be.Let us consider this as a national call to duty to salvage Nigeria. Viva Nigeria. Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria. |
When my eyes flicked on this news,I was tempted to start ranting but I exercised a little patience to read through before making comments,at the end of my perusal,I could not help but exclaim in my dialect-chineke ndi Saudi Arabia, A Terrorist has united Nigeria.Check this out even AC is in support of the senate AC also reacts Then I thought to myself,in the absense of Mr.President, the Senate President is acting as the voice of the nation kudos to him. “I think this message should be put out clearly. When we resume, if the situation is still there, it is going to be one of the major issues that we are going to tackle and the Senate President has told me to state categorically that he is unhappy about this, and, being the chairman of the National Assembly, it means also on behalf of the National Assembly,” Senator Eze stated. I hear this guys talikng about being responsible to the citizens of Nigeria. “It is not America alone that has citizens to whom the government is responsible, we also have citizens and we are responsible to them. We will not allow Nigerians to be molested wherever they go.Have they seen the report card of Yardua as published by saharareporters.com which is self evident. I remember posting during the early days of this attempted attack that we are at war with US and some people asked me how. This is Cold war II against the notorious 14.Nigeria has just declared it.When you give ultimatum that means war in the future or what is the meaning of diplomatic row The lawmaker asked the US to remove Nigeria’s name on the list, adding that “the earlier they delist Nigeria on the list or rescind from the decision to put us on the alert, the better for our diplomatic relations.” Afe Babalola too I think that these men are imagining how they will be stripped nak ed while trying to board a plane on those scanners. You need to see it on CNN or Al-jazerra. I hope that they will do that to all the Nollywood stars and all our celebrities.Their unclothed pictures will end up on the streets of Lagos and various PM news quack papers flying around. “Terrorism is alien to our culture and I can’t even find a word for it in my own native language,” she told NAN on Tuesday in New York. Some knows what terrorism is in Igbo,Hausa and Yoruba? “The country cannot be adjudged a terrorist country because of the misdeed of one man, the person in question neither received his training in Nigeria, nor grew up in the country,” Ugwu told the UN correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria. Finally,Obama is in the hot seat. I was his big fan during his election but right now,the guy is screwing up.He just an intelligent genius who settle the score between black and white. at least,in the complex where I use to work that is swarming with white people, after his elections,I could walk up them and tell them anything without them looking at me with disdain. Obama tried to alienate and isolate Israel and they soon warned him that He is making a big mistake and there was his u-turn.He forgot that the world bully cannot at the same time broker peace and embrace Islam without fundamental change in US imperialist interest. Thank God that buyers of crude oil are scattered everywhere in Asia where he has recognized China as a fellow super power. It is not by eloquent speech-albeit I respect him for that-it is by policies which can affected the world for good. If this is a call to consciousness to the Nigerian leadership its good but they say charity begins at home. Why has the Senate not cared about who stirred the ship of state since the past 4) days. Nigerian madness and sense of drama is unbeatable only by the US. World power against giant of Africa.Lets see who wins. But that crude oil soup is our bargaining chips. |
Nigeria supply more than 10 percent of US oil needs and over 40% percent of our oil are sold to them in this trade. The US is Nigerians largest trade partner, what happens now that we are a terrorist nation,Will the oil biz be affected? This question came to my mind this morning. |
Is this amount not almost equivalent to what Sanusi injected into the various ailing banks? |

I can't help LMAO. The Inspector General of police will always say that Nigerians are watching too much movie. We need to recruit all those Holly wood actors that don't die. Am not seeing any flying thing for drone attacks here,is not in the project Bleep overtake Naija |
mama-gee:so if you live in the West no coming back for the next 10 years until you bag citizenship if they will give you afterall |
@poster They called you terrorist online, what of people who have had physical encounter? Wetin you go find for black planet? Why you no go another planet of our new found love brothers of the notorious 14? |

stiyke:Nigeria should have made the list of "state sponsors of terror" and not in the second group but all said and done we are now among the notorious 14.Good news? chei, chineke ndi Saudi Arabia zoputa umu gi,anyi na ario gi biko! |
oh no why now, they should wait for oga to recuperate! |
the effect is yet to fully unravel. It has a ripple effect which will surely affect virtually everything. All the countries they listed us alon side Nigeria in the notorious 14 are obodo ndi ara, pardon me it means mad men country. So we are doomed. If they are fairly good we can run to them for succor. We are not doing well political or economically to say damn America as Chavez and Iran would say. So we pray to God to deliver us. |
As I proposed this conference,I was not oblivious of the high degree of uncertainty which is associated with the entity called Nigeria. Probably before the fruition of this conference, if it will eventual hold, another event will occur which to the best of my knowledge has always been on the negative side,God forbid. When most Nairalanders and indeed the whole of Nigeria were crying, screaming and yelling that our "beloved" President was incapacitated, comatose and in a state of incommunicado in far away Saudi Arabia;no Sallah,Christmas and new year massages;Nigeria was agog with calls from different quarters for his immediate resignation over his vehement refusal to hand over the ship of state to his vice even after 40 days and 40 nights in hospital. While we were lamenting that the only Christmas gift,a fallout of the 7-point agenda being the 3000mW he promised became an illusion,a mirage and one of those Nigerian dreams,at some point, the media had it that the output even dropped to 650mW. Who would have imagined that our tatted image which Madam Re branding was trying to launder(I never favored that project) was shattered further beyond repair by a scaly wag(to borrow the words of Chinua Achebe in Chike and the River),a young boy who was since birth immune from the suffering and poverty that ravages over 70% of Nigeria as speculated by the UN. The aftermath is that every Nigerian is now a potential terrorist take it or leave and more so when you have any vestige of Muslim connection. However,I still strongly believe in the Nigerian Federation as I have stated before. I think that a big prosperous nation of Nigeria is better than fragmented smaller nations that will herald potential failed states and terrorist breeding ground.Since our problems are man made,it possible to begin to savage the remnants of this nation from the hands of the Old folks who have since 1960 led us down the road of despair. I never blamed anyone who becomes "tribalistic' because of the series of events and the present precarious situation we find ourselves even today. But I always in ploy anyone who cares to listen that Nigeria can work. According to Hillary Clinton in the recent comments she made about Nigeria, she said that the government of Nigeria is able but not willing to effect the necessary changes that is require to make this nation prosperous. She is absolutely right. We have enough natural resources to turn this nation around for good. The human resources are abundant and Nigerians are overly illustrious and hardworking and love to enjoy life. This is one of the reason that I can't still come to terms with the terrorist acts of Abdul Farouk.Has he driven all the latest brand of Honda that our Alhaji brothers covert so much that they can even snatch a girl from you with it. It is time to begin to explore modern means of change for Nigeria. Its easier to organize and get the consent of individuals in a very short time in this digital age. Activist all over the world are taking advantage of the internet to get their voice heard. Even Obama used the internet to raise campaign funds successful,he is on facebook and am amazed each time his updates drops into my box where he will call out to US citizens to call their senators to pass his healthcare bill. Its intriguing and exhilarating. Suffice it to say that his tech advisers are the Google boys. Its time fore the fair and sound minded youth of Nigeria to act. As at today, membership of Nairaland, rated 9th visited website in Nigeria is over 400,000 according to Alexa.com with visitors to this site numbering in thousands on daily basis and most of this people visit politics section. I admire the creator of this forum,Seun.I respect him and if any young Nigerian(I don't know if he is that young, because I can't tell how old he is) deserves an award and recognition. He does. Although,I have severally voiced my displeasure at the moderator of politics section kosovo for calling Seun the supreme leader. My reason being that a forum such as Nairaland that I believe is founded on democratic norms should not adopt such acronym that is dictatorial, undemocratic, fascist, socialist and sorts to make a mortal take the form of immortal figure. He can adopt other mild terms like boss or any other that does not have autocratic underling but is people oriented in nature. However,I believe that it is time that we wrench this nation from those who are bound on destroying it. I believe that we can congregate and brain storm on the future of Nigeria. Its not just coming to Nairaland to rain insults on fellow Nigerians who are not the cause of our problems. It is not enough expressing our views in isolation. We can pull it together and correct the future of Nigeria. Let us take a cue from the US who are best in futurology by engaging in intellectual cross fertilization of ideas to deliver our nation from assuming the status of a failed state. It is young people who will bring about this change, the old folks are helpless and indeed have become infected by the system. Let us become altruistic about saving this nation. Let realize that our future is fused with the future of our nation. If that has not been made clear to anyone, the acts of our bomber brother should have awaken us to the realization that we are all affected by the actions of everyone who is fit to carry a Nigerian passport. As we all know that democracy is a game of numbers,it is only when a large number of citizens come together to brainstorm and take action that change will come. It was youths like us that ignited the orange and velvet revolution and many other revolutions that have changed the face of their various nations for positive change. I envision a conference cut across the various ethnic groups, parties and all strata of the society which will wake up the sleeping people of Nigeria and go ahead to rally round millions of Nigerians to demand change. We are over 150 million Nigerians and if 10 million youths threaten take to the street in peaceful demonstration, the government will sit up to avert consternation and avoid our brothers in uniform from coming to restore peace. I will expect that we have a lot of us who still believe in the continued existence of Nigeria as a nation until maybe an uncertainty such as we have just witnessed say otherwise sign up by indicating your interest here. If it is necessary we can open a facebook page for that purpose while we plan ahead for this conference. |
r231:My dear,we are all terrorist now, don't mind the bongerfish, anu ofia and slowpoke who should have been celebrating xmas with some nice chicks @ one beach with pretty girls all around or jiving in his village with a nice automobile with all the umu nwa( pretty ladies) swarming around him(his parents can afford that) going to bomb plane. If he was searching for a job after his education to earn a living he would not have had time for his 'animalistic' radicalism This stigma will live with Nigeria for a long time to come.We should pray that another one should not happen because that will signal our waterloo.Invasion. |
Lagosboy:This is the problem with Islam. They want to exist in a vacuum. Anyone who is not a Muslim is deemed an enemy of God. Islam needs reinvention and renaissance. Any religion that any of its sects sanctions terror is evil and requires change. @ moderator Plz send this post back to religion,I am not a Muslim before they lynch me. |
It is in our insane country that an AGF does not know the content of the constitution. Just like their FEC, almost every other thing they are doing is unconstitutional. |
Enjoyment1:schooling outside to become terrorist abi? |
