OP, I feel this thread is out to educate intending students on probable reason(s) why studying in some medical schools might be inimical to achieving their dreams or career goals. You might do us a great pleasure by furnishing the right information on why students should avoid these medical schools. Is it that the courses are not accredited? or is it that the institution lack the required manpower? Or is it that the admission process is watered down? Biko educate us more.thanks. |
Another types of ..... thread. Good observations OP! |

Think of how to graduate first and earn good money if you are still a student. Secondly marriage is not a bed of roses just pray and let God lead you to your own wife. About marrying two wives unless you want to lie to yourself you will really need a lot of resources i.e physical, financial and otherwise for them to love you in return. My humble opinion. |

Former Head of State and All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential aspirant, General Muhammadu Buhari, has gone to social media to raise funds for his presidential campaign. The initiative through a crowd funding platform on facebook is a new development in the history of Nigeria’s presidential political campaigns. In a message on his facebook page, Buhari urged for sacrificial giving from his supporters, noting that he was not ignorant of their already difficult living conditions. He, however, cautioned that sacrifice was needed in order to put an end to the life of the Goodluck Jonathan administration and with it, according to him, the tide of corruption, insecurity and other pains on Nigerians. The message posted last Saturday had as at press time drawn 1,683 likes and been shared by 797 persons. In the message, Gen. Buhari said: “As we have made it clear, our campaign is going to be funded, planned and run by ordinary Nigerian citizens like you. This is in recognition of your role as biggest stakeholders capable of changing the course of history of this great yet badly run nation. “In this regard, we launch our crowd funding platform through which every Nigerian can contribute his token towards shaping the destiny of this country. Here are the details: Account Name: Buhari Support Organizations Account Number: 2026724405 Bank: First Bank Nigeria Sort Code: 011150000 “Dear friends, I know what it means to ask citizens over 60 per cent of whom live on less than $1 per day to donate for this campaign. I know many of you are finding it difficult to pay your rents, school and medical bills, to buy the fuel to cook your food, light up your homes or power your vehicles. I know how it hurts and I know you have suffered enough. “But that little contribution – that little sacrifice you make is an investment in the future that come 2015 will usher in a new era for our country, one that promises jobs and opportunities for anyone willing to work hard, and peace and prosperity for all. “So when you look at that little amount of money you are parting with, and the money our opponents are offering you for your votes, think not about the nominal value, think about the choice you are making, and that choice is very clear; either you put your money for a change you trust in, or for four more years of insecurity, corruption and bad leadership under President Jonathan. “Our opponents have huge financial resources, I have only you and God, and I trust that our struggle will triumph. Our opponents have foreign bank accounts and possessions to run to when they destroy this country, me and you have only this Nigeria to live and die in. So let’s join our hands to make it better. “Thank you and God bless. BUHARI FACEBOOK” http://www.vanguardngr.com |

First to comment on the second page. The craze for education in china, malaysia and other countries has greatly reduced the exodus to America. In years to come e go reduce pass that then they would be forced to reintroduce their visa lottery. |

Please i want to know the reason people place Bibles in front of their vehicles. Is this an act of faith or superstition? As a christian i believe in God's ability to protect his children according to Psalm chapters 23 and 91. Your opinions please. |
I had same issue last year with FBN at their headquarters in Marina. My 40k was debitted I complained and wrote letters, but most importantly I became a regular face at the headquaters and made sure I disturbed them till i was assured and true to their words, the issue was resolved. OP,you have allowed it drag for too long. Gentlemanly mails will never ever resolve bank issues from customers end cos the customer relations officers have loads of unresolvable issue to deal with. Biko mods front page so that Nairalnders can learn from this. |
Learn How to Deal with a Bad Boss. In many cases, a miserable job is closely linked to a miserable boss. If you can fix that, maybe you can even Help Your Boss Succeed and Get a Promotion! Lose Your Fear of Being Fired. Sometimes what makes a job hate-worthy is that we feel like we need it, almost like we're slaves, because we absolutely dread getting fired. But living in fear of getting fired is not a good way for anyone to live. When all else fails, Look Busy at Work Without Really Working or Call in Sick when You Just Need a Day Off. Do this in moderation, though, or else you won't have any job to hate! Understand that even bad situations can be learning situations. Remember to keep learning. Even if you hate your job, there are always opportunities for you to learn something new. Most importantly, keep looking for another job! This situation won't be forever, even prisoners get let out eventually. Pray. Prayer works in the toughest of times. It helps to ease the mind of all tension and lightens your heart. You develop a positive attitude. Your attitude changes to "Yes, there is going to be a happy ending." And sure enough, you will stumble across wonderful opportunities along the way. Source:www.wikihow.com |
Hate to get up in the morning because you know where you have to go? There are plenty of people who are working at jobs that they're not ideally suited for, but what if you loathe your job, and you can't quit or find another one? You start to relate more to people who are in prison or war. Here are some ways to make it tolerable. Have a good sense of humor. Strive to maintain a lightheartedness about what you're doing. If you can't stand the people you work with, laugh about how reliably silly and petty people can be, the way we laugh at how children fight over teddy bears. Imagine you're living in a sitcom. Turn monotonous tasks into games. Be playful. Practice your optimism. If there was ever a way to test your outlook on life, this is certainly one of them. There's a lot of misery that you can let go of just by changing the way you see your situation. For example, viewing your job as a temporary lot rather than something you're going to be "stuck" with for the rest of your life can make a big difference in your mood. Look at the big picture...the much bigger picture. Live in the moment. One of the ways to avoid getting lost in your frustration is to get so lost in the moment - the minute details of what you're doing, and how you feel when you're doing it - that you forget about all those negative thoughts. While optimism asks you to look at the big picture, living in the moment involves looking at the tiniest picture possible. Do not dwell on the past. Whenever negative past events pop into your mind, bring your attention back to the task at hand. Similarly, don't imagine about the future. Oftentimes we imagine future events that never happen, so we worry for nothing. Living in the moment is not always easy to do. Meditation or mindfulness meditation can help. Commit random acts of kindness. How much can you surprise people with your kindness? What would happen if you decided to start acting like Jesus, Gandhi, Santa Claus, or any other historically kind figure at work? At first, people would probably be surprised. But try it. How might it transform your workplace? Try to avoid accidentally coming off as condescending when you're being kind. Some people just aren't used to being treated nicely for no apparent reason! Keep a journal. View it as a social experiment. Maybe start a blog! Write in/ on it every day! |
I have not fallen victim though, but i have seen people's pockets being picked while I watched. The victim alighted without knowing that he has been robbed.I held my pocket tight till I alighted as they were more than three operating having positioned themselves strategically for the operation. That was like fifteen years ago at Ketu Alapere area. |

10.Abeg add your own. My oga don dey call me. Thanks for coming.Remember don't try to please everyone.Try to be as reasonable as possible and dont borrow money to do elaborate wedding.Do the one wey your money reach. With hundreds of ideas out there you still can have a cheap yet marvelous wedding of your dream. Most brides regret having so many odd and useless items they had spent money on. It’s up to you what expense items to include or to remove from this list, but you just should be aware of these major wedding money wasters. What are the biggest wedding money wasters? 9. Elaborate wedding invitations Wedding invitations are so expensive that you can easily end up spending much on an invitation with the works. It’s much more reasonable go with mass-produced invitations. Ask you guests to respond via telephone or e-mail instead of adding a reply card or using usual postcards. However, with the abundance of arts and crafts supplies available out there, you can easily make your own wedding invitations. Surf the Internet to find interesting designs and invite your friends to assist you. Wedding invitations are commonly sent in more than one envelope, but this tradition is no longer rigid and you can use only one envelope, which helps to save some extra Nairas

8. An extra large wedding cake With their special decorations, wedding cakes can start out as expensive as N60,000. It’s easy to make a wedding cake very expensive by ordering a larger size than you need. Too many couples order wedding cakes to serve 200 when they only have 100 guests. A large cake is impressive, but it’s much cheaper to order a small wedding cake and to serve the guests a separate, simply decorated sheet cake. You will significantly save your budget if you decide on a sheet cake. The ingredients are usually the same, but sheet cakes are plain and unpretentious in terms of decorations.
