HardMirror:OSUN 2026: TODAY, LET THE EVIDENCE SPEAK By CharlesCNG. Today, Osun decides. For weeks, we have heard the predictions: “Adeleke will win.” “AMBO will sweep Osun.” “This LGA is our stronghold.” “That federal constituency is gone.” And, inevitably: “They are planning to rig.” But today, something changes. THE CAMPAIGN ARGUMENT ENDS. THE EVIDENCE BEGINS. Once voting closes, counting takes place and polling-unit result sheets begin becoming available, we will follow the Osun election through Smart ElectionGuard Pro. Our approach is simple: POLLING UNIT → WARD → LGA → STATE We don't just want to tell you: “Candidate A has 200,000 votes.” We want to answer the more important question: WHERE DID THOSE 200,000 VOTES COME FROM? Which polling units? Which wards? How many PUs have reported? How many remain outstanding? And, most importantly: WHERE ARE THE EC8As? Smart ElectionGuard Pro will organise available polling-unit evidence, process the figures and reconstruct the emerging result from the bottom upwards. As polling units report, wards begin to form. As wards become complete, LGAs emerge. And ultimately: PU → WARD → LGA → STATE ONE IMPORTANT RULE We will distinguish carefully between four things: 🟢 VERIFIED — supported by available polling-unit evidence. 🟠 PARTIAL — genuine results, but polling units remain outstanding. 🔵 PROJECTION — what our Forecast Engine estimates the emerging pattern may eventually produce. 🔴 UNDER REVIEW — something requires further verification or does not reconcile. A PROJECTION IS NOT A COUNTED VOTE. A partial LGA is not a completed LGA. And an allegation of rigging is not evidence of rigging. If something doesn't add up, our first response should not be: “THEY HAVE RIGGED IT!” It should be: “SHOW ME THE POLLING-UNIT RESULT.” Then: SHOW ME THE EC8A. Smart ElectionGuard Pro does not replace INEC. INEC conducts the election, performs statutory collation and declares the official result. We provide something different: AN INDEPENDENT TRANSPARENCY AND EVIDENCE LAYER. Think of it as: A MIRROR, NOT A REFEREE. So whether you support Adeleke, AMBO or anybody else, you are welcome here. Bring your predictions. Bring your polling-unit reports. Bring your screenshots. Bring your claims. But once the EC8As start arriving... BRING YOUR EVIDENCE. 😄 Bookmark this thread. Today, let's follow Osun differently. LET THE EVIDENCE SPEAK. Smart ElectionGuard Pro From polling-unit evidence to verified results — transparency you can trace. |
Awodifire:OSUN 2026: WE WON’T JUST SHOW YOU THE WARD RESULT — WE’LL SHOW YOU HOW THE NUMBER WAS BUILT By CharlesCNG. Yesterday, ahead of today's Osun governorship election, Osun REC Oluwatoyin Babalola signed the result sheets for the state's 332 Registration Areas/Wards. Let's understand what that means. A signed blank result sheet is not evidence of a pre-written result. It is an authentication measure. But it raises an important transparency question: When numbers eventually appear on a ward result, can Nigerians independently reconstruct how those numbers were built? With Smart ElectionGuard Pro, that is precisely what we intend to do. LET'S USE EDE NORTH — NOT THEORY, BUT ACTUAL POLLING UNITS Ede North has 11 wards. They include: Olaba/Atapara, Abogunde/Sagba, Ologun/Agbaakin, Olusokun, Alusekere, Sabo/Agbongbe I, Sabo/Agbongbe II, Isibo/Buari-Isola, Apaso, Asunmo and Bara Ejemu. Now take: ABOGUNDE/SAGBA — WARD 02 INEC's directory lists 22 polling units in this ward. And these aren't imaginary units. Among the actual polling-unit locations are: PU 001 — 16 Popo Street, Orita Bode PU 002 — Sufianu Main Compound PU 003 — Federal Polytechnic, in front of Ramat Hall PU 004 — C.A.C. Primary School, Talafia PU 009 — Abogunde Compound PU 013 — Sagba Junction PU 014 — Open Space, Oniso Compound PU 018 — Alagbede Compound PU 020 — Ajeja Compound Indeed, PU 009, Abogunde Compound is the polling unit associated with Governor Ademola Adeleke's voting in previous elections. Now watch what happens today. As the EC8As from these polling units become available through IReV, Smart ElectionGuard Pro can process the available documents and build the arithmetic from the bottom upward: EC8A → POLLING UNIT → WARD → LGA → STATE For illustration only, suppose: PU 001: ACCORD 170 | APC 110 PU 002: ACCORD 201 | APC 95 PU 003: ACCORD 185 | APC 130 And after processing the available results from the ward, the underlying EC8As eventually total: ACCORD — 4,120 APC — 2,580 Smart ElectionGuard Pro can independently reconstruct the ward arithmetic. But this is where our philosophy becomes important: DON'T TRUST OUR 4,120 EITHER. Click the number. Go backwards. See the 22 polling units. See the individual figures. SEE THE EC8As THAT BUILT THE NUMBER. Then compare our independently reconstructed arithmetic with INEC's statutory ward collation. If both say: ACCORD — 4,120 APC — 2,580 we mark: ✓ RECONCILED But suppose the underlying EC8As total 4,120, while the official ward collation records 3,920. Smart ElectionGuard Pro does not automatically scream: “RIGGING!” Instead: ⚠ RECONCILIATION DIFFERENCE DETECTED Then ask: Which polling unit? Which EC8A? Which figure? Where did the difference enter the chain? That is evidence-based election monitoring. And we don't stop at Abogunde/Sagba. Repeat the process across Ede North's 11 wards. POLLING UNITS → 11 DIGITAL WARD RECONSTRUCTIONS → EDE NORTH LGA RECONSTRUCTION Then compare that independently reconstructed LGA arithmetic with the official LGA result. Then repeat across Osun. INEC remains the statutory referee. Smart ElectionGuard Pro is the mirror. We independently reconstruct the arithmetic from polling-unit evidence upward and ask one simple question: DO THE NUMBERS RECONCILE? If they do, say so. If they don't: SHOW THE DIFFERENCE. SHOW THE POLLING UNIT. SHOW THE EC8A. Today there will be predictions, accusations, screenshots and victory claims. Our response remains: FOLLOW THE EVIDENCE. Polling Unit → Ward → LGA → State. And whenever somebody asks: “WHERE DID THIS NUMBER COME FROM?” Smart ElectionGuard Pro's ambition is to answer: HERE ARE THE POLLING UNITS. HERE ARE THE FIGURES. HERE ARE THE EC8As. CHECK THE ARITHMETIC YOURSELF. Smart ElectionGuard Pro From polling-unit evidence to verified results — transparency you can trace. |

helinues:I WARNED DAVIDO HERE SOME DAYS AGO. He is unnecessarily risking a rare, God-given brand for politics. I advised him that he could support his uncle wholeheartedly without descending into every political exchange and damaging the broad goodwill he enjoys across party lines. But as we Yoruba say: “Ẹni a wí fún, ọba jẹ́ ó gbọ́; ẹni a bá gbà fún, ọba jẹ́ ó gbà.”” Advice has been given. Whether it is taken is another matter. This is what i told my fellow osun brother and a beloved singer just some days ago. An Open Letter To Davido Ahead Of The Forthcoming Osun Elections. by CharlesCNG(op): 6:38am On Aug 08 My Dear Davido, Permit me to write this, not as a politician or a member of any political party, but as one of your millions of admirers. Like countless Nigerians, I have followed your journey for years. I admire not only your extraordinary talent, but also the qualities that have made you one of the country's most beloved public figures—your humility, generosity, respect for people, and the genuine warmth you bring wherever you go. My entire family enjoys your music. We have celebrated your successes because, beyond entertainment, you have become one of the few Nigerians whose appeal cuts across political parties, ethnic groups, religions and regions. Whether APC, PDP, Labour, ADC or politically neutral, Nigerians proudly call themselves Davido fans. That is a rare GOD GIVEN gift. It is also why I felt compelled to write this. iI am not suggesting that you should not support your family. Every Nigerian has the right to support loved ones in politics, and no reasonable person should fault you for standing by your uncle- knowing how well you cherish family values. My concern is different. As one of Nigeria's biggest cultural ambassadors, I believe there is wisdom in being selective about the political battles you personally choose to fight. Campaigning for your uncle is understandable. Personally engaging every politician or commentator who criticises him is something else entirely. Those exchanges are better handled by his campaign team and media aides. They signed up for politics. You signed up to unite millions through your music. Your greatest strength has always been your ability to bring people together. Fans who disagree on almost everything else still sing your songs together, fill your concerts together and celebrate your achievements together. That broad goodwill is priceless. After this election is over, many Nigerians who may NOT vote for Governor Adeleke will still proudly stream your music, buy tickets to your concerts and continue supporting your career. That is why I believe you gain more by remaining above the daily political crossfire than by personally responding to every political jab directed at your uncle. Please do not misunderstand me. This is not a call for silence or neutrality. It is simply an appeal for balance. Continue to love your family. Continue to support your uncle. But also remember that you belong, in a unique way, to millions of Nigerians whose only common ground is the joy your music has brought into their lives. That is a legacy worth protecting. With respect and admiration, CharlesCNG. A Loyal Fan |

Streetinvestor2:Crowd size and intelligence have nothing to do with my argument. History is full of intelligent, educated people who followed charismatic religious leaders into extraordinary beliefs. Intelligence is no vaccine against manipulation—that is why religious authority must be exercised responsibly. And this obsession with my imaginary ₦30k salary is hilarious. 😂 Even if I were paid, when did honest work become an insult? There is dignity in labour. Forget my supposed salary and address the issue: Did Ibiyeomie make those statements? Were they responsible uses of the pulpit? Common sense doesn't stop at the church door—and neither should critical thinking. |

iwaeda: BEYOND THE SENSATIONAL HEADLINES: What the US Fiscal Report Actually Says About Nigeria By CharlesCNG. The sensational headline says the US declared Nigeria “fiscally dishonest.” That is not what the report says. The 2026 US Fiscal Transparency Report found Nigeria did not meet all minimum transparency requirements, citing weaknesses in budget reporting, procurement transparency, spending discrepancies and Auditor-General independence. Serious concerns—but read the rest. The same report acknowledged that Nigeria publishes key budget documents, discloses public-debt information, maintains a sovereign wealth fund with a sound legal framework, and has established procedures for awarding natural-resource licences and contracts. Most importantly, failing the US benchmark is not equivalent to being declared corrupt or fiscally dishonest. The accurate conclusion is simpler: Nigeria has important fiscal-transparency gaps, alongside areas of genuine disclosure and progress. Criticise the weaknesses. Demand stronger auditing, procurement disclosure and budget reporting. But if you're citing the US report, cite the report—not a politically convenient headline. |

[quote author=Iamdbull post=140314187]Popular pastor of the Salvation Ministries Pastor David Ibiyeomie, just made some shocking statements in parables referring to two people I can’t mention as Pablo Escobar and Osama Bin Laden. His statement below read "How can people with common sense allow Pablo Escobar, a d+ng£rous dr*g baron and Osama Bin Laden, to rule over them?" - David Ibiyeomie advises Nigerians in Parables! If you fail to vote right again, you will suffer more than you have suffered now! Please who is he referring to cause I am confused!
SHEPHERDS OF STRIFE: When Pastors Weaponise the Pulpit for Politics. . By CharlesCNG. A disturbing breed of Shepherds of Strife is emerging—pastors who turn political preference into spiritual virtue and disagreement into moral failure. Pastors have every right to criticise government and support candidates. But speaking truth to power is different from weaponising the pulpit. Pastor David Ibiyeomie provides troubling examples: the Daddy Freeze outburst involving insults and threats to “deal with him”; sweeping attacks on white-garment churches; the controversial claim that Jesus “hates people who are poor”; and now political rhetoric invoking Pablo Escobar and Osama Bin Laden. At some point, we must ask: Is this prophetic boldness—or partisan recklessness wearing clerical robes? Pastors are human beings. They can be right. They can be wrong. They can be profound. And, as history repeatedly demonstrates, they can speak recklessly, flippantly and carelessly like david ibiyoemi frequently does. Christianity does not require believers to surrender their political judgment to the nearest microphone carrying the title “Pastor.” |
lapintoz:DELE MOMODU AND THE “FOOD IS READY” POLITICS HE ONCE CONDEMNED By CharlesCNG. Politics has a wicked sense of humour. On Channels Television’s Politics Today on August 12, Dele Momodu—an ADC chieftain—openly declared support for Governor Ademola Adeleke of Accord, saying that if ADC would not support Adeleke, the party should simply “loan” him to the governor. Interesting. Because this is the same Dele Momodu who repeatedly attacked Nyesom Wike for working against the PDP. In 2023, Momodu said that if he had the power, he would have expelled Wike from PDP, describing him as unruly and accusing him of trying to destroy the party. In 2024, he again accused Wike of disloyalty for supporting Tinubu while remaining in PDP and argued that the party should sanction him. As recently as January 2026, Momodu warned ADC to enforce discipline early, specifically invoking the “Wike scenario” as what happens when a party tolerates indiscipline for too long. Now the disciplinarian has discovered political flexibility. ADC has its own candidate in Osun, yet Momodu is publicly campaigning for Adeleke of Accord. Apparently, anti-party becomes principled independence when your preferred food is already served somewhere else. This is the danger of political morality built around personalities: what is treachery when your opponent does it becomes “conscience” when your friend does it. Momodu is entitled to support Adeleke. But then he should also admit something simple: perhaps Wike was entitled to his political judgment too. You cannot manufacture one moral standard for Wike and another for yourself. Sometimes in Nigerian politics, the quickest route from outrage to accommodation is simply hearing someone shout: “Food is ready!” |
fergie001:I honestly don't have a dog in this race. You are right: Oyetola blocked Adeleke because he was unwilling to cede the leadership of Osun APC to him. There was also a strong calculation among many PDP defectors who moved to APC that Adeleke was beatable. So, beyond the public campaign rhetoric, there is an underlying struggle over electoral viability, party control and who ultimately leads the APC political structure in Osun. |
Elsanchez:Typical obidients low mindset. When the Argument Ends, Insults Begin That reply abandons the argument entirely. If Nigerians are genuinely fed up, prove it with votes, organisation, agents and polling-unit evidence. If rigging occurs, document it. Calling everyone who disagrees with you stupid proves nothing. It merely shows that when the argument ran out, the insults took over. |
