I met a man online 5 weeks ago.As with online relationships, I withheld info and told him the age I have on my id and not my real age.I never expected the relationship to go anywhere, but we fell in love quickly we are even planning marriage. He has found out the truth about my age and is taking it badly.he compares me to his ex who he claims is a great liar and had refused to forgive me.He is doubting everything I ever told him about me and is ignoring me.I have apologized and explained to no avail.we are meeting for the first time next weekend, but he has changed totally. He ignores my calls and msgs and I can't eat or sleep. I love this man and want to be with him.I'd it fair that he has refused to accept my explanation? Its not as if I just picked the age from the air, its the age in my ids.how do I remedy this situation? Do I keep begging him? He doesn't even read msgs.this is his first on line relationship ( to the best of my knowledge) but this is not my first online relationship and I was just being cautious cos I have had my fingers burnt online before. What do i do? I am confused.He is a 43 yr old divorcee with 3 teenagers.I am turning 35 this yr( i don't look it though) i told him i was 32 yrs old.I need advice before I go crazy.why is this age issue such a big thing for him.has he got another woman? I am confused

First of all, the bible doesnt state anywhere that we should make an image of Jesus and bow down to it. How are you guys sure that it is really the image of the Lord that you bow down to? It is stone and not Jesus. It is idolatry and there is no two ways about it

The bible is there to lead us in the way to live as christians. So i don't understand why any christian or any "denomination" of christianity will do anything contrary to the word of God which is the holy Bible

So wen Josue bowed he knew the spirit of God had taken over the man made ark. The Israelites who made the Image of the angels on the ark how are they sure which angel they were makin? God did not say we should not make images at all. We atleast have images and icons of our loved ones, past heroes etc evrywhr can u accuse the Nigeria's president of Idolatry when he salutes the National Flag? You can't accuse a catholic of Idolatry as wel wen he bows befor the statue of Jesus or Mary because bowin down be4 the spirit of a superior is not idolatry confirm this in Gen19vs1 lot bowed down to venerate the two angels in sodom. Even in Gen42vs6 Joseph's brother bowed before him wit al their faces on the ground. If you cnt accuse Lot and Joseph's brother of idolatry then don't accuse catholics either. So the question is do i or catholics see Mary or her statue or image as God and creator and our endpoint? The answer is No! That will be intolerable heresy.

do catholics read their bible or is their bible different?

In Exodus 25vs18 God commanded the making of a man made cherub of beaten gold on the ark of the covenant. So if making images is wrong God should be the first offender we are only imitating him. In Josue 7vs6 Josue wit al the elders of israel fell prostrate before the ark of the covenant with statue of angels on it and God did not take offence. So if Josue did this and God did not complain what makes you think he will complain when i bow before the statue of Jesus or Mary? Read your bible well dear

I was born into a catholic family. My parents especially my mom is a die-hard catholic. I did all the catholic sacraments, baptism, confirmation, holy eucharist, except matrimony which would come by God's grace. I was known in my parish for being a devout member of some societies.

This is because upon completion of my university education, I was inspired by the Holy spirit to know the truth, I couldn't prove so many catholic beliefs in the bible, and I care a lot about my eternity. It caused a lot of dispute between I and my parents and even up till today, they've stopped calling me or asking about my welfare. All efforts to convince them beyond reasonable doubt have proved abortive. Pls I need your advice nlanders coz I need to reconcile with my family.

God could be speaking to you through your parents. No matter hw much of the bible you know ur parents have seen the world mre than you and they will not mislead you. Their actions show that they care about your soul even more than you care about it. Please i join my voice with theirs. RETURN TO THE CATHOLIC FAITH AND TO YOUR FAMILY ON YOUR KNEES. Get the Book Rebuild Your Catholic Faith and read and clear your doubts with biblical proof on controversial catholic doctrines.
