Today's commentary on oil and usdjpy;

Oil rallied as predicted yesterday heading to $116 as i type. In line with market structure on "new HHs and new LLs" I will watch for a reversal to $100 before the next rally to $120.

If price first rallies to $120 before reversal, buying at $100 becomes unappealing to me. The market is clearly creating a sell model.

I'm referencing this post again because it is the blueprint I drew for trading this oil bear market.

Oil is at $100 ish again and we've already gotten to $120 so I expect the demand window to create short term long opportunity to around $108 supply for the bearish onslaught to continue. I'm not interested in adding positions ( na demo account,make pips no dey waste)

I moved my SL just above the recent swing high in the image so if $108 doesn't have enough sell orders to drive price further south, I'll be leaving the market with still 1000+ pips. That $70 still dey enter my eye.

This trade call from April 29th still running. Swing dey give joy . We are slowly but surely approaching a significant supply window and I'll swing the opposite direction when the opportunity presents itself again.

I caught some short opportunities in between.

I stopped reading minutes time-frames at some point but recently I'm picking up the idea again.

All the strategies i was running after before I stopped left their print in my mind. I even incorporate Wyckoff in analysis and sometimes EW.

Everything works. What is needed is the right mental frame.

Actually, there are some pairs ehn.. They are ten in one pair. Never a dull moment.
#Gj #Gold #us30... I raised hat for those that trades those combine successfully. Mehn. I prefer to trade gu only. But my greediness will not stop me from looking at gj gold eu etc.
The day I overcome my greediness, the day I will be finally set free. One of my mentor will never be proud of me for trading more than one pair. she was a GJ specialist then.

It's better to first focus on one moderate pair and when you quite understand how prices move, then increase it to max five to ten. If nothing shows as a signal in five to ten pairs then there is no point trading for that day.
Most of us do not understand how prices move. And instead of channeling our energy on one at a time, we decided to trade all and we end up miserable. If you cannot trade one pair successfully, you can never trade two or more successfully.

Actually, i don't think those candlesticks are "invalid" ways of reading market movements. Personally, i use them to catch tops and bottoms of trends. They usually indicate start of a new move (of course,not independently ) when you have those reversal patterns.

Most efficient are they in HTFs.

Attached is an example currently forming on GJ H4. If i want to take a risk on this trade, this candle is confirmation together with the failed swing in a significant demand window. I hope i made my point clear Sha.

If you're a swing trader,that choice may be frustrating but good enough for a daytrader or scalper.

I saw this when you posted about history repeating itself about oil. Oil is dropping with it's logic anyway but I've not been able to catch it because I'm focusing on the ftmo free trial. And I just passed the max loss daily, monthly and profit target exceeded today remaining 1 more day to complete the conditional minimum trading days.

I traded only NASDAQ and gold because oil on ftmo is not as fast as the above .

My NASDAQ buy trade today gave me all the profits to pass the free trial.

Guys, why is it so easy to pass the ftmo when I'm trading on personally than when in a competition?

I'm currently running a very interesting FTMO trial but i couldn't trade oil for the very same reason.

I'm just hoping GJ gives me the boost to finish the trail before the countdown is over.

Concerning ease of passing the trials as compared to the contests, it is because you're not bound by competition rules especially regarding lot sizes. But all the same that discipline was what i cultivated from all the contests i partook in from last year to this year's.

1. If it gets to 1850 first, I'll sell to 1830 then buy from there.

2. If it gets to 1830 first, I'll ignore 1850 and wait to TP around 1880 or 1900. Then sell again like i did oil.

I have a belief where i don't buy any idea the general public accepts because i believe therein lies the secret to manipulating a large group at once. Everyone says HODL, buy the dip, etc and my "Spidey senses" tell me something is wrong. To every optimism,there should be a touch of pessimism to keep you in reality still.

You want to believe the financial institutions who bought billions worth of BT.C will be HODLing? If so, who is selling?

If common "investors" are following the herd, i don't imagine people from this family doing the same.
