Police detain three of my men for arresting Fulani warlord, Iskilu Wakili –OPC leader

The Oodua Peoples Congress, on Sunday, said the men of Nigeria Police Force in the Oyo State detained three OPC operatives for arresting notorious Fulani warlord Iskilu Wakili, who has been accused of sundry crimes in the Ayete area of Ibarapaland in the state.

The PUNCH had reported that farmers and residents of Ayete lived in perpetual fear of Wakili who was accused of displacing them from their farms.


It was also gathered that Wakili, who is said to be the leader of the herdsmen in Ayete worked with dozens of herders who are his disciples. Together with his battalion, they allegedly seized hectares of farmlands at Ayete, raped the women in the rustic town, and kidnapped their rich men for ransom.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with The PUNCH on Sunday, Adedeji Oluwole, the OPC sector coordinator who led his operatives and other vigilante groups to arrest Wakili, said the suspect was nabbed on Sunday morning.

Oluwole, the Federal Capital Territory OPC coordinator, who is also an indigene of Igboora, said he relocated four months ago to Ayete to bring Wakili to book after security agencies failed to arrest him.

The OPC leader said it took over four days of continued operations and surveillance to nab Wakili and three of his accomplices.

According to Oluwole, more than 10 OPC operatives went on the mission. He said Wakili’s men shot fiercely at the OPC operatives before they were eventually nabbed.

He, however, expressed shock that the police detained three of his men after they handed over Wakili.

“We took Wakili and the three others from Igangan to Igboora and handed them over to the DPO at Igboora. The name of the DPO is Ajayi Mark. As I am talking to you, they have taken them to Iyaganku at the State CID in Ibadan with three of my boys,” Oluwole told The PUNCH on Sunday afternoon.

Continuing, he said, “When we took Wakili to the police this morning, the police said we should take Wakili to the hospital first which we refused because we are not in a position to do that. We told the police that they have been complaining all these days that they wanted to arrest Wakili and now we have brought Wakili to their doorstep, they should take over.

“Nobody touched Wakili, nobody hurt him, there are no traces of any hurt on him. He is an old man and we had promised the whole world that we won’t hurt them but we would arrest them for the whole world to see who is Wakili because all these while, he has been a faceless person, nobody knows him. We didn’t beat him or harm him. When we nabbed him, we put him inside a vehicle and handed him over to the police.

“The DPO then said he got a signal from the CP (Commissioner of Police) in Iyaganku. They have taken three of my men to Iyaganku now.”

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo State, Olugbenga Fadeyi, did not respond to calls put to his line. A text message sent to his phone was also not replied to as of the time of filing this report.

HIJAB WEARING IN KWARA STATE, WHAT CHURCHES CAN DO.

In Ilorin, there is tension, because kwara state govt said Muslim can wear Hijab to Christian schools.
Its has been an issue for long in ilorin and some part of the country.
Since these schools are controlled by Govt, it will be hard for the church to win this war, because they will be using freedom in law for it.
But to say the truth, all Religion want to propagate or promote their own, so no one will accept that, even if it were to be Muslim, they won't accept.

And interestingly, all these churches in ilorin are not tolerated by Ilorin people, they pursued them to outside ilorin then, and now development has come,where those churches were sent to , are the best area in ilorin, from Taiwo, unity, GRA, Tanke, Fate Tanke etc, And also these churches also has the best public schools, since Churches appoint the head, and control some aspect too..And also most of these Muslim and Govt leaders in kwara State, attended all these Christian schools.

In all, Govt and Muslim are having their way of using Hijab, and I don't see the church winning even in supreme court. But what churches can do is to shut down these schools, or even demolish it, since its their school, that Govt didnt pay to build. Govt has not compensated them too. So churches is the owner of the building and are the owner of land.
Most of these churches now have Their own Nursery and primary school, so they should demolish the public school on their land, so they have peace, else Hijab will be used

Hijab is used Before Islam, Its a culture, not from God.

Of recent, Hijab wearing in schools , has been generating a lot of heat.
Muslims said it is a command from God, so I did my research on it. At the end, I saw that Hijab is even used before Islam., and everywhere Hijab is mentioned in the Qur'an it means Curtain, Partition, separation, Hide and Wall...Khimar in the Qur'an, is the related word to our today meaning of Hijab.

Allah only commanded us to be modest- and to cover our body, our shame, and our beauty..

The 3 main verses people use for hijab are :
"O you Children of Adam! We have bestowed on you raiment to cover your shame as well as to be an adornment to you. But the raiment of righteousness, that is the best. Such are among the Signs of Allah, that they may receive admonition.” (Quran 7:26)

“And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear therof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers, or their brothers' sons or their sisters' sons, or their women or the servants whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex, and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O you Believers, turn you all together towards Allah, that you may attain Bliss.” (Quran 24:31).

“O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go abroad). That will be better, so that they may be recognised and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.” (Quran 33:59).

As we can see from the above, No where in all these Qur'an verses, Hair, Head or face covering is specifically mentioned.
Interestingly, if we must follow any of these verses, we must cover all our body, cos all has beauty , not only the hair as is common here.

So in conclusion, Saudi used their cloth culture to obey what Allah said, and it doesn't mean we must use their culture too..The main thing is cover your body and be modest..
Remember God didn't create Textile/cloth, we human create it. So it shouldn't create war in Nigeria..
Remember your religion is as a result of your geographical location, no one is Superior, God created all of us, and He loves us all...PEACE

We have seen only Fulani/Hausa against Yoruba, against Igbo, against Tiv, against Idoma, against southern kaduna tribes, against Berom , against ijaw , againt itsekiri. against plateau state tribes, etc.

But why always them?

The main obligation of a president is securing lives and property, and everyday tens of people are killed by bandits, herdsmen and Co..cant he be impeached on this ?

I have seen many Christians and Muslims who employ security guards that have Juju or voodoo to protect their community, houses, and companies.

Even churches and mosques employ these people too to guide their facilities especially at night, so I wonder why these two religions are against our traditional religions, and can't do anything with them, yet they employ their services for protections.

Sunday igboho is another man with so much supernatural prowess we all believe in, and support..
So why can't we do juju ourselves too if we believe in its protection, than using/supporting people doing it

As a Christian, living in Nigeria. Have found it so difficult to practice what the Bible wants. We are born to an inherited corruption.
From school to our working place and businesses, I have seen its difficult not to cut corners.
Our culture is just corruption, and its hard not to conform.

Now, I understand that all of us going to church are not going to church to worship God, but for what we want Him to do for us, we don't love God

So am asking, will it be difficult to enter heaven as a Nigerian

If were a Governor, 4 things I will do to solve Fulani Herdsmen problem.

1. I will let them know that cow rearing is just like other businesses, so their cow must remain only on their borrow or purchased land, no open grazing and they must register free to my Govt. And I will give them ID cards with security chips.

2. I will make them to sign agreement that if anyone is killed or kidnapped in their area by any Fulani, they will leave that area if they can't produce the culprits

3. I will purchase and install drones in all my territories to monitor any herdsmen activities in the bush or forest, during day and Night

4. I will produce a chemical and give to all farmers for free. it must be sprayed on their farms. So any cows or animal that eats the farm will die

According to my own believe of the Bible, the sacrifices/offering and prayers of a non Born Again Christians and unbeliever are not acceptable or listen to by God.

But our pastors just want everyone in the church including thieves, Robbers, yahoo Boys , 419, Ritualist, Prostitute, corrupt government officials and politicians, to pay Tithes, first fruit and offering.

I have some Bible verses to back it up.
But am asking, Should non Born again Christians and unbelievers pay tithes, offering, or even pray to God?

Nigerians are so funny, and we are all hypocrite.

We all have been praying , no solution on insecurities in Nigeria, Now this one seems to be the solution.

Dear Nigerians, the foreign religion we pretend to be doing , we are not doing it right, the Traditional religion, we don't do it too, and we are suffering , ..But now we support people using it for us, HYPOCRITE
