I have read alots of comment above but it baffles me why Igbo people taught emefele is doing their bidding. The reverse is the case, emefele is appointed by ACC government and he is also a card cringe member of Apc and whatever decisions he makes is in the interest of its party. Some of u taught this policy is directly against tinubu ambition but even if tinubu has hidden cash, it will just take him a call to the cbn governor and zoom all the hidden cash will be changed to new but the opposition like atiku or Obidient does not have that previlledge and they are most likely behind the travails of the cbn governor. I can assure u that every step the opposition take to distarbilize the cbn governor is dead on arrival.
how did you come to the conclusion that the opposition has hidden cash somewhere?

do you now mean that the opposition is so powerful in nigeria to be sending DSS after emefiele?

Chain of events and answer to u. U didn't read the article very very obviously...see below:

The witness said they were conducting a stop-and-search exercise when the incident happened at Ajah underbridge, adding that he was the only one unarmed in the three-man patrol team.

He said Mr Ebieme, a police inspector, stood at the front of the patrol team, while he was standing in the middle and the defendant was at the back.

“Inspector Ebieme flagged down a car (referring to the deceased husband’s car), the car did not stop, I also flagged down the car, the car did not stop for me,” he said.

“After that, the next thing I heard was a gunshot. I looked back to see what was happening, I saw a car in which the front window was falling down.

“The next thing I saw was that one black woman jumped down from the vehicle. She held SUPOL Vandi and she said ‘oga, you have killed my sister’.

“The woman held him. The next thing, they entered the car and they all zoomed off.”
offpoint. You didn't answer the questions I asked.

Did you read the article? yes or no

From the testimony outlined in the article, can you produce anything said by the witness that corroborates your theory?

How did the deceased provoke the police that warranted her being shot?

Emefiele should be allowed to destroy the bribery and vote buying of the APC and PDP.

I suggest that Nigerian masses move in and secure Emefiele from government harassment.

what makes you think that emefiele gives a damn about you?

DSS and police should allow this man finish his tenure and properly implement the naira redesign policy, which has been terribly implemented so far.

Afterwards, they can do with him whatever they want.
is it police and DSS that caused the poor implementation of the naira redesign policy so far? of what benefit is the policy?

Then let's assume the police is a lunatic then. It's not even accidental discharge. Most times, I look at two sides. So a police will just look at u after u have stopped and shoot? Hmmm. Police stop me all the time. I show them my papers and go.

The witness said, the car wasn't numbered, that two police stopped her...I want to believe this chain of events makes more sense than 'stop and shoot'. Except the police is having some mental challenge. That's the only possiblity of the stop of shoot.

I heard the late lawyer's sister dragged the killer to the car and the husband drove to the station...it appears the family and killer police

This isn't new and it shouldn't be news. It's the 20/80 rule which states that 20% of any population control 80% of the wealth of that population and 80% of the population have access to just 20% of the wealth. It's universal and it's in every country on the planet. Even among nations, it's the same thing. The wealthy countries are a handful compared to the poor countries

As I have later on explained....many people consider the statement of poor tools being a limitation to their delivery...as I have pointed out...once this issue is eliminated..through food funding...it can no longer be given and they will have no choice but to perform...those who don't may then be booted out.... I have interacted with many of them...and I know that the poor tools issues is not an excuse but a very valid reason...I have friends who have resigned academic appointments in Nigeria simply because they have no tools to teach...or carry out research after returning from their training abroad... They become frustrated day by day by their non-performance..so they leave.
It still doesn't change the fact that in your highlighted comment, you ended up indicting the same lecturers you are defending. if you say lecturers have been using lack of funding as their excuse for poor performance, then you have justified my question about the calibre of lecturers in nigerian universities.

But let's be frank, this woman may have contributed to her death. How would you disobey authority when flagged down. Moreover, the car had no plate number. Obviously she felt since she's lawyer she can do and undo. This was how a custom officer was killed by a soldier after they declined to stop.

There is no justification and no one is supporting the cop here!

Politics › Re: 2023 Budget Is Hopeless - Ezekwesili by CheapHomes1: 8:16am On Jan 17, 2023
stepaside2:
I think beyond the emotions of labeling the budget as 'hopeless' and dwelling on the deficit side of it (tragic I accept), madam Oby could have advanced more reasonable arguments against it.

The options that guarantee little to no budget deficit is to (singly or in combination);

1. Cut recurrent expenditure by half (sack workers and don't increase salaries). You can get some mileage here but by how much and look at the effect on unemployment?

2. Remove subsidies and reduce deficit by N6trn. This leads immediately to increase in fuel prices to be borne by Nigerians

3. Increase revenues through blocking loopholes and extending tax net to cover our largely informal sector.

Number 3 appeals to me but that will take time. The few that pay taxes are now taxed even more thereby disincentivizing them. The agricultural, Trade and ICT sectors contribute more than half of our GDP but those sectors are largely informal and contribute little to taxes.

So madam Oby should choose among very difficult options as there is no silver bullet to this budget deficit problem.
Budget has been signed into law. Which lecture are you now giving? Is there anything she can do to change the budget?
