PLEASE, DO NOT JUST VIEW. ThIS IS NOT SILVERBIRD CINEMA. I know Nairaland is a large community... so, I am sure of getting whatever help I want here. The unfortunate thing here is that the singer used yoruba language throughout, so I don't know what she sang about but I still love the song. She is a rapper, local rapper with Olamide type of style. She is very aggressive rapper. I have watch the video though, she was in classroom in that videos. With this little description I think I can get help here. The singer and the title of the music. Thank you in advance.
PoliticsRe: The Failure And Laziness Of Nigerian Youths by Checked86: 11:01am On May 29, 2016
Metallurgist:
@checked86 it's true that government should provided job to the people, an ideally 15% is the max in any conducive environment. unfortunately this is not the case in nija. but as the author said no matter the situation hardworking ppl do find a niche and make good money and the reality is bitching about this government ain't gonna change a thing. but hard work does
There are things that you do not tackle directly. It is only a visionless government that would say I want to provide jobs for the youths. There are things that take their own course and JOB is one of them. When the economy is working, other things including employment will fall into place. When the government says they want to employ 10,000 youths to police force and for that they pride themselves for providing employment for the unemployed youths. Who is helping who here? Is the government doing it because they want to tackle security or just to provide employment? What I am saying is that if nigeria government is to staff its police force adequately to be able to police the populace, employment will come for those that want to really join force. Nigerian police force is understaffed and not enough to police a nation with the largest population in africa. This is an instance to show you that the nation is not working. Government should not provide jobs. Let them do their own part. Let the do the right thing every government should do and they will be battling for manpower with the private sectors because they would need human beings to run their progressing economy.

DaudaAbu:
I think i understand the op differently. He is not exonorating the present gov't he is just saying if you have to wait for gov't you'll wait for a long time.
Also frm what you posted on his write-up on akpabio, its a different thing entirely.

We all know that its a fathers responsibility to educate his child.there are fathers that have not done it and yet the children found their way through sch.
If everybody had to wait for gov't to provide them with what to do such pple would end up sad bitter and frustrated.

If you need to plant tomato, potato, cucumber(sack farming) or maize for a season borrow a friends land, a neighbours or a relatives. Used same people uncompleted building to do poultry. All this suggestions are part time from there you can discover you either had a passion for it or you'll appreciate those that take it as their full time job
I choose people I reply their quote; and you are one of those because you made a strong point enough to convince me otherwise. But No. while I support you partly for the fact that the initiatives to achieve something come from the youths, I still hold the government responsible for not doing enough for the youths. Enabling environment! enabling environment!! enabling environment!!! I am shouting these two words because that is the way to push the youths to contribute the development of this country while providing employment through entrepreneurship. Somebody quoted me because I used power(stable power) as an instance. There are many ways the government can provide enabling environment. We all did our one year compulsory service to our father land and you don't need anybody to tell you how small that 18k is. While many corps members couldn't save anything from the Allowee during our time, some of us that did save saved just enough to start trading(buying and selling). This is not entrepreneurship. If government can increase the minimum wage to at least 38k or so, I assure you it will be few ingrate that will still turn to government for jobs. I will like you to pick 10 successful entrepreneurs that you know and run background checks on them. These are what you are likely to find out: 1#, most of them have a privileged background. 2#, most of them have held one type of job or the other and either resigned or got sacked. Many so called entrepreneurs will come out and start saying you need no money to be an entrepreneur. That is a FAT LIE. Finance gives us about 65% of idea we need to be an entrepreneur. That courage you have when you have fund that you can afford to lose and not a borrowed money. That courage of having your own money and whatever happens it is your own money. My opinion is that Nigerian youths are not lazy.

Chukazu:
my brother, how can a reasonable human being ask them to GO,when our dear president has been Globetrotting and seeking for foreign investors when we can't maintain the one we have?

I still remember vividly the sight of former president Obasanjo beckoning on United Airlines to start flight operation in Nigeria, now the same airline has left and some people are still defending Buhari's economic policy
some people make irritating comments on Nairaland. I really do not know if they are doing it intentionally. They probably do not know that some countries go extra mile by giving waiver to foreign investors for some stipulated years. To woo investors is no more a 'child play' especially those with goodwill and reputation that are capable of influencing others. If one company leaves a country, it will discourage about 20 potential foreign investors. What economic watchdogs like Bloomberg say about a country matters.

my dear if u do not know anything about economics plz seize from having opinions on economic policies. go to angola, usa, and all OPEC states, do u see anyone besides themselves there controlling their resources? "U must control ur means of production to actually create wealth, else u r just cheap labour". ---- Karl Marx. Fundemental of economics.

How many Nigerians know ow to opereate a full working refinary? How many Nigerians know how to technically construct the Engineering layout or even d paper sketch of a refinary? U think it is cheap oil money that will emancipate N-Delta? Until Niger Delta control, refine, distribute and sell their resources, from raw material to finished goods, they will be exploited. Whereever u r , Biafra, Nigeria, Republic of Niger Delta, where ever, until u pple do this, the region will never b economically liberated. After Shell dem go, its Chinese and Russia's turn. Get readdy.
I am an economist and I pride myself for being one. If you are an economist, I suggest you take up some courses on Development Economics ... it has helped many. You talk of resource control as if Nigeria started existing yesterday. We are always quick to say, "go, we do not need you". The white 'GO' and even Ghana 'GO' but how have we benefited from that decision? I think we should learn from South Africa. About Nigerians not knowing how to run refineries, please do not look down on Nigerians. We have professional.

they should go biko. Shell, BA, Chevron, Total etc they have never benefited us. They should go.
you do not know anything about development neither do you know what it takes to run a country. What do you need from the multinational companies? Do you know how many Nigerians on their payroll, do you know how much they pay as tax? Do your research very well and pose that your question again, may be by then you will be able to answer it yourself. People defend Buhari, but I am sorry, none of them is as clueless as you are.
