Hu d budget don epp now? Tomato is still costly in the market, likewise rice and meat. And today is Sunday u know what that means i guess.
my friend went to one state to see his girlfriend, and decided to stroll with girlfriend when she wanted to buy tomatoes and other food stuff. As a man, he decided to foot the bills but when the tomato seller called the price, my friend thought his girlfriend and tomato seller had made plan to dupe him. He paid the bills but when he came back, the first thing he asked my sister was the price of tomatoes. It was after that that my guy cool down and shouted CHANGE!

Bro, we need to put these stupid tribal sentiments behind us and try to forge ahead together, or at worst , be peaceful neighbors.
All these E-fights and tribal exchanges is of benefit to nobody. Let us address the problem of decaying public / social infrastructures across the country and not just one region, and look for ways to hold our governments responsible.

I originally reserved the space on the front page and later edited it to post those pictures there because I knew some people will come later and begin tribal slurs. I just waited for that akpa amu to post his rubbish about the west, and I edited the space.

Peace.
you are right. The method of politics in Nigeria is the problem. The tribal war is becoming inborn problem. Even if the Igbo secedes from Nigeria, the problem will still crop up, may be within the states. It will always be there but let's manage the problem in our own individual ways. I have seen many topics in Nairaland like, "see this beautiful yoruba actress" instead of Nollywood actress. Things of this nature unconsciously remind us that we are not one. Because if Igbo guy that is going to click that topic is doing so just to look for fault and not appreciate the actress.

The person behind that twitter handle may be from one town in Osun or Ogun state. That is by the way, we all love peace, especially the peace we can experience not the one they want us to believe. Boko haram is bad and if Nigeria Army can call me, I can join the Army without pay. That is how much I hate boko haram

These one is still looking good na, they even have good lockers/desks and chairs. Just some work on roofing and they will be fine.
You need to see how bad the ones where I served in Enugu are. Students sit on the floor there, and everything has virtually crumbled.

I know the school personally. The Itchi boarders Unadu, Ibeawa. You should try to post believable pictures. We have dilapidated classroom blocks but your pictures are pure exaggeration. I am from Igbo-Eze South(Alor-Agu) but I served in Osun state, Ede South. Osun state has many nice school buildings. In short, you can get up to three public secondary schools in one community. What Osun state lacks is teachers. They depend entirely on corps members

Is he saying resources/funds will be made available to Nigerians in diaspora willing to return home permanently huh

Am I missing something in what he said.? What's the incentive in the bill? Is there any law against investing back home?

Ben we are expecting details soon.
he is not only talking about Nigerians in Diaspora but for the whole Black Community. He didn't say funds will be made available to them but those ready to invest would be encouraged by giving them some considerable incentives. Since he said the details will be released when it is read in Floor of the senate, let's wait for the details.

I have looked at the picture for almost 20mins and I am yet to see anything like painting. I am not giving up though, I am going to save this thread for further examination. The world has love for abstract and mysterious things, things that lack explanation. That is why you should never live an obvious life. Let people explain you, but never explain yourself to people.

Splinz:
You see! Buhari still hasn't learn his lessons. Three pillars defined Buhari's past & present government: 1. Blaming his predecessor for his woes. 2. Failing in tackling the nation's problems. 3. Witch-hunting oppositions.
4) being unconcerned about the plights of the masses
PoliticsRe: The Coup Speech That Overthrew Buhari On August 27, 1985… by Checked86:
cogbuagu:
Fellow country men, the intervention of the military at the end of 1983 was welcomed by the nation with unprecedented enthusiasm. Nigerians were unified in accepting the intervention and looked forward hopefully to progressive changes for the better. Almost two years later, it has become clear that the fulfillment of expectations is not forthcoming.

The Nigerian public has been made to believe that the slow pace of action of the Federal Government headed by Major-General Muhammadu Buhari was due to the enormity of the problems left by the last civilian administration.

The concept of collective leadership has been substituted by stubborn and illadvised unilateral actions, thereby destroying the principles upon which the government came to power. Any effort made to advise the leadership, met with stubborn resistance and was viewed as a challenge to authority or disloyalty.

Thus, the scene was being set for systematic elimination of what, was termed oppositions. All the energies of the rulership were directed at this imaginary opposition rather than to effective leadership.

The result of this misdirected effort is now very evident in the country as a whole. The government has started to drift. The economy does not seem to be getting any better as we witness daily increased inflation.

The nation’s meager resources are once again being wasted on unproductive ventures. Government has distanced itself from the people and the yearnings and aspirations of the people as constantly reflected in the media have been ignored.

Furthermore, the initial objectives and programmes of action which were meant to have been implemented since the ascension to power of the Buhari Administration in January 1984 have been betrayed and discarded. The present state of uncertainty and stagnation cannot be permitted to degenerate into suppression and retrogression.
when you read these few selected paragraphs, u will believe that this is history repeating itself. Damn! Nothing has changed.
