Such a wonder that some people are always defending this Govt even when it's obvious that Clowns and misfits in d helm of affairs are pushing what's left of this banana republic into an abyss.Folks should always stand for the truth irrespective of who is involved. It's a pity that many mistake blind loyalty and sycophancy for patriotism. A legitimate business done in an illegitimate way!! what an explanation. When will we ever grow up as a country? |

@bushdoctor, let's see what will com out of the investigation, but u know in Nigeria we never learn from errors. Like most of ur comments and posts on issues because I follow many salient topics quietly on nairaland and I luv ur objective and matured attitude devoid of insults and tribalism. May u continue to grow in wisdom and godly principles. |
What a joke! how can a fighter jet be missing since Friday and a statement to that effect is coming out about 48 hours later as if it was sent to Pluto. |
@Arcasie, either u or ur friend, whoever is in this situation can avoid unnecessary and future frictions by opening up to the partner if the conscience is clear.The simple question is why is there no emotional link with the first guy as much as d other guy? when foundations of relationships are faulty why wouldn't d rate of divorce increase? |
maestroferddi : Ceasar1: You seem to mis-understand me. See, her boyfriend should be the one getting the emotional attachment not the “other dude” and that's why I called the “other dude” the wrong guy. You grab? ╯_╰ I am afraid you added nothing new. There is no wrong guy in the first place. Maybe he should have just said 'the other guy'. |
@Toks2008, well said. But even at that, intact communication is not always a guarantee as some irresponsible folks still decide to tred d path of infidelity despite having a good flow with their spouses.Sometimes it is all about discipline and tolerance. some persons simply engage in what can be called 'longerthroat in dating' because no matter how complete their partner or spouse is,they still want to cheat. Once again thanks for all ur meaningful posts. |
Some saying the prosecution should have gone for culpable homicide instead of premeditated murder. What's the point doing that knowing it would be d obvious call from d judge if the first case of murder fails to go through. Well,he might have evaded the human judge but it's impossible to dodge the hammer of the Eternal Judge. |
@ ozonchrome, start by asking her -what are ur goals in life? what are u doing to fulfil those aims? then support her build a healthy self-esteem devoid of self pity. u can still go thru my post on page 2. |
Don't hold on to mundane things firmly and approach the issues of life with d proper perspective or else you become prone to emotional/psychological trauma that can eventually lead to depression when u lose some of these things. Remember, ur mind is a weapon,what you get from it depends on how u channel it. Break ups,loss of loved ones,guilt,fear,consistent doubts,perceived failure,inferiority complex,unhealthy self-esteem, stigmatization, family palava, betrayal,false accusation, being bullied etc are some of the reasons that drive many pple into the chains of depression,self-pity and suicidal thoughts/tendencies. Life is short,life is beautiful and most importantly life is a gift from God ,so don't let external or internal problems deprive u of the joy of being urself. Our emotions if governed properly should work for us and not against us. Never let ur feelings overwhelm u in a negative way,it's risky. It is natural to be moody occasionally but when ur moodiness persists and agravates to self-pity and then to bouts of depression,it becomes needful to address it.During my NYSC days,a friend opened up to me about his depression challenges, but after telling him the importance of chanelling his thoughts towards a healthy path he discovered that he could manage his feelings properly without succumbing to depression, he became a very cheerful lad and ever since has become a source of hope to sufferers. The truth is that the secret lies with you,be strong inwardly and be disciplined in your mind,never and never worry over things you cannot control and always rmber it could have been worse.One of my philosophies in life is "never harbour self-pity and don't monopolize worry". So whenever u start sensing those bad feelings about urself,never give in and stand tall on the inside. |
read my post properly,it's a feed with name DSNG and comes up only during games.still watching d post match analysis. u could have blindscanned . |

How I wish u crave an intimacy with God more than ur 'man of God' or 'my pastor'. Most of us Christians have blindy followed our pastors and bishops to the detriment of our souls. pls be closer to ur Bible than ur pastor or else u become worse than an infidel. |

@ttmacoy,don't bother much on this issue cos it seems gullibility is a trademark of the average Nigerian. We never learn nor grow-up,the learned and unlearned exhibit same xteristics, the rulers and ruled are all the same,so don't be amazed at the kind of society we've found ourselves. So much education we claim in this country yet so little understanding/knowledge. Always blaming others for our misfortunes. |
@Oyb,your brief analysis is just too correct. The nation is where it is today because of our mindset.Judging from most comments,until we witness a revolution of our mentalities,not even a political or economic revolution can help us.The fearful truth is 'Ignorance is a far more deadly ailment than the much dreaded EVD.' |
@Leopantro,Eaglechild,Oduduwaboy, Swing4real, Carefreewannabe, Chynes,Soulglo and a few others who sounded logical,objective and matured,may God bless you. It's obvious from the majority of comments on this forum that we have a long way to go as a nation. Recovery from EVD is not abnormal and this is not the first case as there are survivors cut across Liberia and Guinea even without proper treatment. But to find many comments on this forum throwing blames at other nations and clouded with illogical and embarrassing statements baffles one. It is now very clear from what one is reading why many so-called educated people succumed to the saline water therapy. |
The issue with many Nigerians is that we always like a fire-brigade approach without thinking deeply. How on earth will a product that is not antiviral work against a virus. A product that has never been tried experimentally on Ebola related cases has suddenly become a cure for Ebola. Even if the Western World have their own issues and faults,must we always embarrass ourselves before the entire world.Last time and even till now,many educated folks that should have known better took part in saline-water therapy due to a fetish mindset,now we are embroiled in the nanosilver saga because we want to prove to the world that we too can cure EVD. Until we adequately invest in research and education and wipe out corruption,greed and all the tribalism that has defined this nation,we will sooner than later find ourselves in a viscous circle. |
UjSizzle: We don't receive news like this from countries where the outbreak is at its peak; it's Nigeria with less than 1% mortality recorded from the virus--deaths we can't even verify--that the weirdest news come from. Why are people so dramatic in this country?@Ujsizzle,u just spoke my mind,Nigerians are just too fetish,ignorant and gullible in the midst of our so-called education. When i posted about the hazards of exposing ur system to excessive saline water in the name of ebola remedy,some persons raised eyebrows. Now we are witnessing d product or result of ignorance plus stupidity. |
Wonders will never cease in this lopsided nation. How on earth do pple believe in the efficacy of salty water as a remedy for ebola virus disease? I've got news for u;if u ignorantly follow the drink-saltwater-therapy,u are surely going to hit the morgue from complications arising from HTN b4 ebola gets to you. Judging from our kinds of rulers,attitudes,and even some comments on salient issues that has ravaged the nation,it seems that we have so much education but little understanding in this country,so much religion but no godliness/character,and until both the rulers and the ruled have a revolution/change in their mentalities we will continue to chase shadows and inevitably find ourselves locked up in a vicious circle. |
@luluosas, gr8 job u are doing. since i introduced my students to u,they have all been happy with ur speed of response and none has complained of disapppointments or fraud. kip it up.But dont 4get to repay me o,because most of my I.T students plus their friends/relatives here in lokoja were ignorant of this mtn data sales until i told them. once more,kip it up and hold firmly to honesty & integrity even in business cos it counts. NB: I hav been on nairaland for years,and followed many topics silently and learnt much even from some of ur posts e.g the thread on glo bis stuff on android. |
@initialize,hope u got the little balance alert,I 4got to inform u. Having a sweet experience with d g3c.Have a gr8 day. |
