Back then in school Ȋ̝̊̅ had this neighbour(student too) that was pregnant, she came home around 6pm one ϑάў and said she wanted τ̅☺ eat ofe aku(palm nut stew) and demanded Ȋ̝̊̅ accompany her τ̅☺ the market τ̅☺ get palm karnel, unfortunately for us when we got τ̅☺ the market the women selling it had already gone. Τ̅☺ my surprise my neighbour started picking d palm karnel that fell of their tray on the ground, it was S̶̲̥̅Ơ̴̴̴̴̴̴͡ S̶̲̥̅Ơ̴̴̴̴̴̴͡ crazy, and when Ȋ̝̊̅ tried stopping her she started crying that she would die that night if she does not eat her ofe-aku....some women that were still around then understood her predicament n directed us τ̅☺ the house of one of the sellers.....τ̅☺ cut the long story short, we finally got her aku around 11pm that night and she prepared the stew that same night and finally ate it around 1am....funny enough she didn't eat the ofe aku again after that night... lol

Sitting on my favourite seat in a viewing centre watching fans of different club who argue every weekend in a divided house, quarrelling and arguing as they mock n boo their rival club when they loose. Mine was way back in my university days, went for a coursemate fathers burial in her village with other coursemates. Towards the end of the burial, heard my fellow coursemates laughing n calling my name, turned around τ̅☺ know watsup and low and behold saw one of those village small boys picking empty cans and left over food wearing thesame native material as mine( a material that my cousemates had earlier admired), but his own was worn out, torn and very dirty. Ȋ̝̊̅ felt embarrassed but decided τ̅☺ make the best of the situation cause my coursemates were already teasing and making fun of ♏ε̲̣̣̣̥., calling the boy my younger brother. Ȋ̝̊̅ called the boy out, danced τ̅☺ a gud native tune with him (which drew the attention of everybody around)τ̅☺ the amusement and cheering from my coursemates and the villagers alike because he was a good dancer, and it ended up being like a competition btw the villagers and my coursemates....the little boy made for himself some real cash that day.....twas suppose 2 be a bad ϑάў for me but it ended up being the only fun we had that ϑάў.

Someone complained about union paying how much? Dude diamond bank just "upgraded" to 28k. Do the employees like it? No. Do they wanna go back home? Lol, NO ! And that's the highest paying bank today, I still say banks pay ok, ask the agencies why they've agreed to slave labour or worse,eaten the chunk of that original paid by the bank.

Why make it sound as if we(graduates) are at the mercy of those heartless employers. Ȋ̝̊̅ strongly believe if 60% of those going through what the op went tru are bold enof 2 take d step which he took, then these employers will have a rethink and upgrade their pay and working conditions. They need us as much as we need them, but in as much as they know there's always someone there ready 2 take over when u leave, they tend never 2 give a damn abt upgrading. If you know your worth as a graduate, you wouldnt jump at any job offering you peanut just because u are scared of being unemployed.
Let me tell you my experience with glo. Few months ago i went for an interview(Bsc holders, with minimum of second class lower, but at a time they stopped interviewing second class lower holders n said they just received a call from headquarters that they needed just 2nd class upper holders). Few days later Ȋ̝̊̅ was invited for their training. Its a sales job. After d training we were briefed on our job-going into the street and market places(under d sun n in d rain) selling and registering sim cards. Target-to sell n register atleast 24 sim cards a ϑάў n 400 or S̶̲̥̅Ơ̴̴̴̴̴̴͡ a month. Commission-30k monthly.....u can imagine that! For a Bsc 2.1 holder... Is dat not an insult And the funniest thing is that they kept reminding us with smiles on their faces that there's no job anywhere n they wud advice we grab the 'opportunity'. I angrily left after telling them how cruel they were. Surprisingly, some persons still accepted the offer and are still doing that job till date, while Ȋ̝̊̅ have gotten a better job, τ̅☺ resume next month.
If we can speak, act and think like graduates(HND and Bsc alike), and not just settle for 'more than less', Ȋ̝̊̅ believe job offers will be upgraded.
