If its about civilizations, then Nri isnt the oldest Igbo civilization... But if its about dynasties, the Eri dynasty(Apupa Eri) is the second oldest in Nigeria(the seifawa dynasty of Kanem/Bornu is older circa800AD).

It is common knowlege that if the political livelihood of the Igbos had been dependent on the yoruba (God forbid), the Igbo would have been extinct by now. My Chinese friend still thinks it's a mystery how Igbos survived sharing a country with you after the war when you stole from Igbos to better yourself (see yakasai, 2016).
