Yeah sure.... You have interests there, that is why you ignore the killings.
And Igala is not influenced by Igbo one bit. Only Ibaji LGA have some Igbo elements, and it is far from 50% more like 6%. On the Other hand, it is the Igalas that have significant influences in the northern areas of Anambra and Enugu states.
People don't read all they know is to argue blindly grin

But the bold shows that your brain rebooted along the line...which by me its cool cool
Go and ask around and stop this blind argument... Even other igalas refer to those from ibaji as Igboid igalas bkos the dialect is closer to the Igbo end of the spectrum than the igala end.
And on your theory of influences, note that it goes both ways.the Igbo influence on igala was cultural as can be seen in their language and market days while the igala influence was political, which we destroyed at the battle of OmeluIgala lake(vanquisher of the igala).
Broz don't be an armchair analyst like your fellow Yorubas...go out and ask questions! undecidedcheesy

Stupid Igbo man trying to form "fraternity" and camaraderie with Igalas....lol... Who is fooling who?
At the end of the day - They will still behead your Kith & kins in Anambra West LGA - just watch out for the next headline of igalas murdering igbo villagers. At least the Igalas and Okuns don't go on a killing spree on each other every 2 months
Igalas are more related to Yorubas than they are to your people, just politics dividing the good people of Kogi state.
Igala is a Yoroboid lingo influenced by Igbo and Idoma. Moreover we've interests in ibaji LG..that's why we mostly ignore their so called attacks. The language spoken in ibaji is Igbo and the people are 50/50 of Igbos and Igala,so unlike you Yorubas we'd not start misbehaving bkos of oil.
A silent Igbo Anschluss is happening..and when its complete, Nigeria would be so surprised as to what hit them grin

[s]It doesn't matter that he is Gowon's son or not, he was a criminal drug baron smuggler with a Colombian cartel! That is a crime punishable under U.S. Law so Ibos should quit this hypocritical showmanship! At 23, he was an adult and had opportunities to be a professional but preferred to be a criminal, he is 100% responsible, not his mother, Gowon, U.S., Nigeria of the war. During the war, Gowon's allegiance was to Nigeria just like Ojukwu and whether the mother left or not is of no consequence, Gowon did his job, Ojukwu failed and ran away to Abidjan dressed like a pussie cat. So Ibos can inject themselves into this issue again, it will bring them neither new friendships or sympathy, their eye-service hypocrisy is nauseating! In everything, they must seek patronage and advantage, no need they lost 3 M Ibos and keep losing everyday!

All that said, the dates mentioned had also screwed up their lies and stories! Watch as these useless urchins scramble to fix the date to somehow make it as though Gowon and Nigeria is to blame and Iboz are the ones rushing to his rescue! Clueless Iboz population[/s]!

Cheruv is right, but I will propose the total scrapping of bayelsa state. Let all the riverine communities of rivers and bayelsa be merged to RIVERS state. Let's have a unification of all the ijaw lands from burutu and other delta ijaws, to ekeremor, sagbama, Southern ijaw, nembe, brass, ogbia, down to degema, okrika, abonemma and other kalabari communities , ogu bolo and any other ijaw community I can't remember now... the ikweres, etche, obigbo and other upland communities should be United with the nearest igbo state...
Rivers is a dicey case..a state where three language groups viz Igboid, Ijoid and Mmoñoid fuse together.
So what I did was
1]remove those parts of the state that were carved into it from East central state
2]remove the kalabaris and add them to bayelsa as they're an ijaw group with little Igbo influence and no direct attachment to PH

This Rivers I propose would maintain the essence of Nigeria in its tripodal balance

Lovely write up... I love my ijebu state, probably going to be the smallest state...

At the topic, this your formula for states is the best for Nigeria. Regional govt will not work a least not again.
A regional govt where the anioma man in delta state is lumped with the efik man from calabar a South south... the local ekiti man is joined with a lagosian as south west...regionalism simply can't work again...

I wish someone can forward your article to the Senate. Let's have closely related ethnic groups together in one state, so they can grow together.
Thanks for understanding me...
I still dunno what's keeping lalasticlala from putting it up on FP.
In the South we've clear ethnic boundaries, and I ensured I followed those lines to make sure that only related ethnicities are in one state. Pls ensure this piece is taken to the appropriate authorities for action smiley

Nice proposal.
But you never made mention of puting back the Northern Yorubas in current Kwara, back to South wes.

And you didn't think of puting parts of Igbo land currently in Benue back to Ebonyi and then Anambra.
I thought about the Igbos in ibaji LG of kogi and those of the four Benue LGAs but due to the fact that I did it strictly on LGs,those Igbo areas mixed with other areas were left out. All we've to do is ensure LGs are created for them and if you look well,I added plus to states whose ethnic areas were mixed up with other ethnicities in an LG
PoliticsRe: Saving Nigeria.. A 25 State Structure by cheruv(op): 5:39pm On Nov 26, 2015
The LGs is based on the current 774 LGA system of Nigeria.
So any number of LGs you see in a proposed state is the current number of LGs in that area.

I know... Oyo state itself is too big, why add the whole Osun? Not satisfied, you still wanna add Egba/Egbado. While Ijebu has 9 LGs, what the sense in it?

Una for join Kwara sef..... grin
Am looking at not only the uniformity but also the economic sense....combining those areas gives us a prospective economic giant.
As for ijebu..they can subdivide themselves into more LGs as long as their coffers can carry it.
In formulating these states I not only looked at the ethnic affinity btwn them but also the economic potentials inherent in them.

Egba/Egbado part of Ogun has 11

I think regional federating units will be the best
Instead of having Lagos, oyo, and co, we should have south west region.
The same will be applicable in other regions.
Considering that Nigerians are ethnic beings the mistake of rumbling two antagonizing tribes should be prevented.
Yea
Its the states that progress up to the region stuff that's why I made it a state for the medium tribes eg Akwa Cross, Bayelsa, Benue etc while small to medium tribes having very close affinity like the igala and idoma are joined in one state. Another state is Bendel where all edoids viz urhobo, jekri, Bini, Afenmai etc are in one state.
Moreover, regions are formed by like minded States

Even though am an avid secessionist, I've taken time to see what and what would work for Nigeria. The best thing to help Nigeria is to restructure the country based on workable entities we call Federating States.
The identified states are
1]Abuja: already the FCT,the territory remains as it is with its 6 LGs

2]Akwa Cross: with capital at Calabar, this state would comprise of all Mmoño groups living in AKS and CRS. The number of LGs is 38

3]Anambra: with capital at Enugwu, this state would comprise of present Anambra, Enugwu and the north and central senatorial zones of Ebonyi state. The number of LGs is 46+

4]Anioma: with capital at Asaba, this state would comprise of all Igboids living in present Delta and Edo states. The number of LGs is 9+

5]Bauchi: with capital at Bauchi, this state would comprise of present day bauchi and gombe States. The number of LGs is 31

6]Bayelsa: with capital at Yenegoa, this state would comprise of present day bayelsa plus the 3 ijaw LGs of Delta and the 4 kalabari LGs of rivers. The number of LGs is 15

7]Bendel: with capital at Benin, this state would comprise of all Edoid groups in present day Edo and Delta States. The number of LGs is 31

8]Benue: with capital at Makurdi, this state would comprise of all Benue excluding the 9 idoma LGs. The number of LGs is 14

9]Bornu: with capital at Maiduguri, this state would comprise of present day borno and yobe States. The number of LGs is 44

10]Gongola: with capital at Yola, this state would comprise of present day Adamawa and taraba States. The number of LGs is 37

11]Gurara: with capital at Kafanchan, this state would comprise of the proposed Gurara state. The number of LGs is 11

12]Igaladoma: with capital Ankpa, this state would comprise of the igala areas of kogi and the idoma areas of Benue. The number of LGs is 18

13]Ijebu: with capital at Ijebu Ode, this state would comprise of the Ijebu parts of present day Ogun state. The number of LGs is 9

14]Imo: with capital at Owerre, this state would comprise of present day Imo, Abia and Ebonyi South senatorial zone in addition to oyigbo, abi and egbema/ndoni LGs. The number of LGs is 52

15]Kaduna: with capital at Zaria, this state would comprise of present day katsina state and the Zaria parts of Kaduna state. The number of LGs is 46

16]Kano: with capital at Kano, this state would comprise of present day kano and jigawa States. The number of LGs is 71

17]Kwara: with capital at Ilorin, this state would comprise of present day kwara, kogi central Senatorial zone plus the two LGs of Niger state west of river Niger. The number of LGs is 25

18]Lagos: with capital at Ikeja, this state would comprise of present day Lagos state. The number of LGs is 20

19]Niger: with capital at Minna, this state would comprise of present day Niger state excluding the two LGs west of river Niger. The number of LGs is 23

20]Ondo: with capital at Akure, this state would comprise of present day ondo and ekiti States with the Okun area of kogi. The number of LGs is 39

21]Oyo: with capital at Ibadan, this state would comprise of present day Oyo and osun States in addition to the Egba/egbado area of Ogun. The number of LGs is 74

22]Oyono: with capital at Ogoja, this state would comprise of the present day north and central senatorial zones of CRS(excluding abi LG). The number of LGs is 10

23]Plateau: with capital at Jos, this state would comprise of present day plateau and nasarawa States. The number of LGs is 40

24]Rivers: with capital at Port Harcourt, this state would comprise of present day rivers state excluding the 4 kalabari LGs and also oyigbo and egbema ndoni LGs. The number of LGs is 17

25]Sokoto: with capital at Sokoto, this state would comprise of present day sokoto, zamfara and kebbi States. The number of LGs is 59

With the right fiscal policy, these States would thrive and Nigeria would be on the road to greatness. Moreover this reduces acrimonious relationships btwn States as each state would be peopled by ethnicities having close affinity to each other

I have families in Lagos, and as a Niger-Deltan, i hope the Yoruba's are able to differentiate us from the Ibo's, just in case they start something crazy and the Yoruba's decide to go on a revenge mission.

This madness should not be brought to Lagos please.
