The appearance of V in some of those name makes it to loose its Igbotic fragrance.
The conversion of those name to Igbo show take preference from from origin source and not English.
My take on this is understanding the meaning of most prefix and suffix used in those name and replace with its exact Igbo term.
Eg; the term EL as used in some of the name like EzekiEL, GabriEL etc means God (CHI), so converting them to Igbo will be simply changing the EL with CHI.
Eg. RaphaEL - RaphaCHI
MichaEL - MichaCHI
SamuEL - SamuCHI

V is an important part of some southern Igbo dialects eg ngwa, aro, ikwerre.belittling it is insulting those people

The ijos are also present in ondo and Edo states.

The Christianity Igbos practice no matter its denomination is based on Judeochristianity. And the Igbo population is wholly Christian(99%) so that should tell you that we've no stake in Nigeria
