dasparrow: @Post

Report that sibling to your partner and let your partner do the disciplining. I just think people are too abusive in Nigeria. Every little thing is beat, beat, beat. No wonder most Nigerians carry that physical abusive culture with them into their marital homes. The day anyone lays their filthy hands on my children, that person will regret the day he/she was born. There are other ways to correct children other than corporal punishment and infliction of bodily harm on a child.
Very Abusive and violent bunch.
Most of them are nothing but first class bullies

ileobatojo: How annoying. Of course it's absolutely wrong for the uncle to beat the child when the parents are there. Even if the wife told the uncle he could beat the girl at will, he should have respected the father's presence.

That being said it is also absolutely wrong to beat the girl for spilling water on the floor. Do Nigerians ever stop to think about what the heck they're doing? Have none of the adults ever spilled something by accident in their adult lives? How would they like a hot slap the next time that happened? Fecking angry abusive hypocrites.
As someone rightly said, Nigerians are bullies by nature.
Some men are just quiet by nature, and if you dont jell with someone, best to move on and find somebody you do rhyme with, than start castigating the person for not keeping you entertained.

Neither does a person have to be christian to be uninterested in small talk. Not everybody is a social butterfly.

Of course if its a big problem then the persons in question should work on it, but at the same time, people have different personalities.
Good points made there

dayjizzle: What are the "christian" men doing "toasting" in the first place?
How do you expect them to get a wife to marry?
Anyone that lived in a boarding house must be familer with bullying.
I was in one of the Government secondary school in Abuja, i remembered that i was in SSI,I was walking from school to the hostel with my class mate a female who was equally living in the female hostel of the school. as we were walking, three SS3 Student walked passed us and we did not notice or I was not paying attention. when I got to the hostel, they were waiting for me at the hostel entrance.
they asked me, why didn't u greet when u saw us. I said sorry seniors I did not notice you. they were really mad with me. one of them said so because u are walking with your babe we are now too small for u not to notice? the other said since u came to this school u have been acting like your father owned CBN. u must swim. they poured bucket of water on the cement floor and ask me too roll on it or better still swim as we call it.I swam with my school uniform.
I later discovered that one of them showed interest on the girl and she turned him down. that was nine years ago but still fresh like it happened today. angry

stillwater: To be honest I thought the whole issue with Biafra was done with and buried. Until I came on NL, to see some Igbo people crying over it with nonsense reverence for Ojukwu. My dad is even more critical over Ojukwu than any other participants of the war. We don't even remember Awo. All I heard from popular culture in Nigeria was Awo wanted to be president by force. And that was it. grin That sums up my Nigerian history lesson.grin
That's Nairaland for you.
Nothing but a bunch of Internet warriors crying over spilled Garri.

Never claimed to know you far from it. I have actually read some of your posts on the Religious section.
Abeg supposed prophet of GOD have told bigger and fatter lies so let's not beat around the bush here.

I don't doubt that's what you indeed earn what is in doubt however is whether that's salary is earned monthly or Bi weekly as opposed to your weekly claim.

coogar: of course and that depends on what they were doing in the uk before returning to nigeria.
i expect an illegal immigrant to do far better in nigeria where he's free to move and work wherever he wishes than do the odd jobs here because he doesn't have the right to work. so it's different strokes for different folks - each case should be looked into individually instead of lying to us your uncle made £60k per annum in the uk and he was a pauper - that's a big fat lie from the pits of hell.
Don't mind him.
People in that wage bracket send their kids to posh private(public)schools where they'll not only be well educated but also make life long and life changing connections.

obadiah777: OK HERE IS ONE OF MY PAYSLIPS. THATS A WEEKLY WAGE AFTER TAX. IT MAY NOT COME OUT WELL BECAUSE I AM COPYING AND PASTING.

THATS £1150 PER WEEK. IN A YEAR ? OVER 50 GRAND
You obviously made that up.

Even If I was to grant you the benefit of doubt and for a sec take it as correct, then I'll say that is what he earns PER MONTH not PER WEEK.
Abeg stop bull shyting us jare. Some us actually either grew up in the Uk or have lived here for a very long time.

coogar: wisdom!! how can you say someone earning £50k per annum is roasting? jeeeez - only 10% of the population of britain earn more than £40k per annum. you mean 90% of the british population are roasting? your ignorance is peerless!

it's either you don't know the value of money or you have been telling porkies all along - either way, no one should take you serious on these pages!!! norrisman with his £50k per annum is among the top 7% of the highest earners in britain!!!
Most Definitely the Latter.
I could tell from the very first point he raised he was bull shyting us all.

Me sef get friend who was roasting on his pay packet of £1M monthly. He decided to take the bold step and move back to Nigeria. He nows earns £5M every two weeks.

Romance › Re: Some Girls Can Be Such A A Bore. by chic2pimp(m): 12:05am On Oct 10, 2012
So the date got boring and I try to liven things up but from as much as I could remember she made no effort. I switch topic so many times. Trust me I know a lot about a lot. So she basically faced the food and ate finished and started pinging, stuck headphones in her ears. And then I gave up. So I told her it was getting late and we should be going. And this is the part that almost annoyed me. She said she doesn't want to go yet and I can leave if I want to. Now I could have erupted here. And my eruption is not good. I'll just create a scene that I'll feel bad about after. (Thank God that didn't happen). We eventually left together and from there my worst date ever ended. My grouses with her are 1. She made no effort in conversation and to join to that she showed no courtesy.
As I thought, She is nothing but an Airhead with nothing to offer.
You are better off watching paint dry than going on another date with Her.
She will simply bore you death. Infact she is already boring me as I type.

Sagamite: She sounds like one of those hungry "I wan chop" Naija girls that try and exploit dates for a quality meal.

Are you sure it was not sinie?
grin grin grin grin grin

Abeg make u leave Sinie and Shyebaby o grin cheesy

ThiefOfHearts: It's a good thing gay marriage is legal for you guys smiley
Rather Fortunate for us, there are still Absolutely stunning girls with Outwordly characters to go with it.
Lest I forget, they are also Intelligent Conversationalists too smiley.

Sagamite: Thank God for Southern African, Eastern African, Polish & Eastern European and European-raised (non-UK) Nigerian girls.

Honestly try Naija girls that are raised in other European countries, not the ones raised in UK or raised in Nigeria who then moved to UK. On average, the difference in class and personality is like comparing James Corden and Usain Bolt in 100m race.
James Corden and Bolt grin
And from personal experience the ones in the states are much better too.

Yes o we thank GOD for the southern and eastern girls. And even some of the other West Africans too.
Well the ones raised in other Europeans countries definitely can't be any worse than this lot we have down here.
So it's worth trying.
If the convoy was that boring, have you even considered that she might ha!ve found you boring too? I meant if you had started a topic that interested her, she might have responded differently. This leads me to conclude that you both are from two separate worlds
Firstly I'd say I highly doubt that. Most Nigerians girls especially the ones we have here in the UK are of that Ilk. Absolutely Boring Conversationalists!!!

Secondly as far as I am aware, there were two people on this particular date. So why is the onus on the dude to initiate conversation in the first place?
Romance › Re: Some Girls Can Be Such A A Bore. by chic2pimp(m): 8:59pm On Oct 09, 2012
ThiefOfHearts: Is she a clown? shouldnt you be the one to get the convo going? If she's checking her phone despite being with you then you are the boring one dude

btw if a restaurant or movie theatre isnt appropriate for a date, then what do you suggest is?
Why should He be the one to get the to "Get the convo going" as you stated?

If that is the case, then I suggest he is better off staying at home and watching the paint dry off his walls.
