Well done boyz. This result should be seen as a point gained rather than 2 lost cuz in all honesty we did not deserve to come away with anything. We were a complete shambles in the first half. To say we were lucky to be only a goal down at half time would be putting it mildly. Our full backs have had their day and therefore must be replaced(latest in the Summer). Allegri probably knocked some sense into them cuz our second half performance was much more better.Hopefully, we will build from this performance and safely ensure our route into the next phase of the champions league.

Tbh, Bale's performance vs Maicon did not come as much of a suprise to me(several wingers in Serie A this season have gotten the upperhand). Maicon is an excellent attacking full back  but a solid defensive full back(not a great one). In the Inter vs Udinese match last season, Alexis Sanchez did exactly what Bale did to him tonight(ran him ragged), mind you that was against a peak form Maicon, not the off form/Declining Maicon(as his performances in Serie A this season has clearly shown)we are currently witnessing. That being said, Gareth Bale is a truly oustanding winger and Maicon is not the first and certainly would not be the last to have his Bu, t.t hole ripped apart by Bale.

As FBS correctly pointed out, not all of Jose's victories vs Barca were achieved using the so called 'Parking The Bus' Strategy. Chelsea vs Barca(at stamford bridge) and Inter Barca(at the san siro) immediately springs to mind. They simply had better defenders.
