PoliticsBen Murray-bruce Ask Buhari, 36 State Governors To Do Their Vacation In Nigeria by chichriso(op): 9:41am On Feb 23, 2016
Senator Ben Murray Bruce has asked President Buhari and the 36 state governors to do their holidays in Nigeria instead of going outside the country. According to him, this will help bring International focus to the various tourist attractions we have in Nigeria and in the long run help improve our economy. What he wrote on his Facebook wall below...

Nigeria's elected leaders are legally entitled to paid holiday and typically they take these holidays in exotic foreign holiday destinations. But the world is changing. Nigeria is changing. And as Nigerians, we have to adjust our behaviors so that they make economic sense in today's world.
Instead of vacationing overseas, why can't our leaders vacation at scenic and beautiful Nigerian locations such as Yankari Games Reserve in Bauchi, Obudu Cattle Ranch in Cross River or Mambilla Plateau in Taraba or even the Gashaka Gumti Games Reserve, also in Taraba? I have holidayed in these places and they are as beautiful as any holiday location anywhere in the world. Our economy is facing challenges. We need to be looking at non oil resources and tourism is one area we can make a honest buck. But which tourist would come to Nigeria if our own elite refuse to holiday here? Consider the history of The US and The UK.

Their leaders habitually spend their vacations within their nations. It is a rarity for them to holiday overseas. US President Barrack Obama recently returned from his vacation to Hawaii while British Prime Minister had his last vacation in Cornwall in The UK. Our leaders, be they the President or any of the 36 state governors, are the chief marketing officers for the nation and their states.

Their presence in a local holiday resort or attraction draws the attention of the world. Since they have such capital, should they not spend it in Nigeria rather than abroad? And it is not just leaders who should so act. All of us should begin to patronize local tourist attractions. Tourism fetches South Africa over $5 billion annually and $1 billion in Kenya. In Nigeria, tourism is so insignificant because we do not make enough efforts to attract tourists.

Our Naira is nose diving and the only way to salvage the situation is to‪#‎BuyNaijaToGrowTheNaira‬.

My name is Ben Murray-Bruce and I just want to make ‪#‎Commonsense‬!

CrimeMan Jailed For Stealing Peppersoup Meat And Palmwine LOL! by chichriso(op): 11:54pm On Feb 22, 2016
An Akure Chief Magistrates’ Court on Monday sentenced a 31-year-old man, Ayodele Joseph, to 18 months imprisonment for house breaking and stealing pepper soup meat and palm wine worth N2,600.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Olayinka Omole, however gave the convict an option to pay a fine of N15,000 on the two count charges.

Omole sentenced the convict to six months imprisonment or N5,000 fine for stealing and one year imprisonment or option of N10,000 for housebreaking.

The Prosecutor, Corporal Adebiyi Abiodun, had told the court that the convict broke into the house of Kemisola Ibitoye and stole pepper soup meat valued at N1,900.

Abiodun said other items stolen by the convict were palm wine valued at N700 and some black wood hot drink and Regal gin valued at N2,000.

The prosecutor said the offence contravened Sections 413(1) and 390(9) of the Criminal Code Cap 37 Vol. 1 Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.

Joseph pleaded guilty and begged for mercy, saying, “I do not have parents, I will not indulge in such act again”.

CrimeThe Pretty Lady Who Was Declared Wanted By EFCC Writes Her Side Of The Story by chichriso(op): 1:33pm On Feb 16, 2016
Good Morning Linda, I've been receiving
calls and messages all morning concerning
your post and i just want to clear the air. My
name is Nemi Elfreda Lolo Sekibo, 26 years
old with a degree in BA Economics and Msc
in International Business. I lost my dad on the 18th of November 2013, my parents
separated when i was 4, when my dad
passed my mum was asked to move back
into his house according to tradition. I was against it but she eventually did because she
wanted to honour my dad, before he died he had
a woman living in his house as his care taker from
when he fell ill years back, she also has a child for
my father who is my older brother named James
Sekibo, we attended the same secondary school everyone thought we were from the same parents,
thats how close we were. My mum got married to my dad in her early
twenties at the time my dad already had 3 kids
from 3 different women she didn't know about
and as she found out she gathered them and
brought them back to my dads house and took
care of them as her own. Few years later they separated and thats when James mum came and
had James and when she found out my parents
were getting back together she ran away and left
James for my mum and dad to take care of. James
is 30 this year, he was born in 1986 but only knew
his mum in 2003, all the while she left him to be taken care of by different women, my mum was
the one who made my dad change him from the
school he was in, to Jephthah Comprehensive
Secondary School and at the time it was the best
school in Port Harcourt. He is my senior with 4 years but he was only a year
ahead of me in secondary school, right now at 30
he cannot boast of a first degree certificate, even
when my mum tried to get him to do lessons at
showers to help gain admission into a university in
Ghana, he was collecting money from my dad but he was not attending lessons so they reported to
my mum and my mum told my dad, I believe that's
where the hatred started from. Before my Dad died his mum had been trying to
persuade my Dad to marry her, but my Dad refused
because she had 5 different boys from 5 different
men, even the last boy she had she tried to pin it
on my Dad but we found his real father, in fact she
gave her fourth son to this man, and then tried to give this mans real son to my Dad, but we found
out, her fourth sons fathers name is Eze, and the
last son is for another Okirika man. Long story
short, my mother single handedly buried my Dad
with the help of the Federal Government because
of the position he held at the time. My fathers relatives, my brother James and his
mother, from the first day my Dad died had already
started planning on how to sell my Dads properties
to share amongst themselves. They stole my Dads
documents from his Clinic while my mum and I
were still in the village mourning his death, this was just a day after they had put him in the
ground. I didn't conspire with anyone concerning any of
my Dads documents, my sisters and I were not
even allowed to be present for any meetings
because they said we were women. These are
fabricated allegations attempting to tarnish my
image thinking it would affect my Mum and I, because she has refused to let them have their
way, as long as we are concerned My Dads
property is for his immediate family but James
wants it for himself, his mother and his bastard
siblings. I've never had to do this before and I don't wish
this on anyone, my Dad was a very good and
humble man and even though he had his flaws
with women, he doesn't deserve this. Linda this
case is already in court and my mum and I have a
restraining order from the court against the EFCC. This is a picture of my mum and my siblings when
we were younger that's James sitting next to my
mum and me on the other side My mum and all of us again This is a pic of my mum and dad in SA, this was the
first time he was walking in days after he
collapsed. I was the one who took the picture, it
was just three of us in SA together, while James
and his Mum were in his house in PH I was the only one who flew with him to SA with
an air ambulance and my mum came 2 days after
cause her visa wasn't ready on time

I have a little problem o.There are 2 guys I am talking to,I am not dating either one of them but I feel they both like me.I am afraid these men will come and try to surprise me.They both live in other states and it'll be totally mean on my part if they both come and jam at my place.

One of them has liked me since secondary school days and we just reconnected again,I don't really fancy him and he is such a precious person.I am waiting to see if some spark will happen.I recently just met the other 1 when I travelled.I kind of like him,he is pretty funny and laid back,we never run out of stuff to talk about.

One of them helped me fill a form for an interview so he knows my address. The other one also knows my address cos he sent me a cake when I was ill. *straight face* So how can I handle it.

PS ; I am not dating either one of them but you can always tell when somebody likes you.
Forgot to add...I don't want them both coming on Valentine's Day,I'll just faint.

SportsOliseh Flees Nigeria, Accuses Staff Of Witchcraft by chichriso(op): 9:19am On Feb 08, 2016
As the zero hour approaches for the must win double header AFCON qualifier against the Pharaohs of Egypt on March 23, Sports Vanguard can reveal the real reasons why coach Sunday Oliseh may continue to tinker the Eagles from his base in Belgium.

After contracting a virus in one of his official assignments, camp sources informed that the former Juventus player has alleged occultic manipulations by his enemies on his life and has vowed to flee far from the country to where they could not fly to attack him.

“He is always scared in camp and suspicious of even members of his back room staff”, a close source to the team informed. The source said that the outspoken coach allegedly confronted his staff and warned them that there were many witches and wizards who were trying to undermine the success of the Eagles. “He warned those fond of putting their hands in their pockets before shaking him to desist or keep their handshakes as he feared they touch objects concealed in their pockets before offering to shake him”, the source said.

Also, the coach alleged that many of the people surrounding him do not believe in the success of the team as he claimed that they don’t rejoice when the Eagles score goals. Beyond the trivial accusations of witches and wizards, Sports Vanguard also gathered that the coach had written to the federation to pay his outstanding N10 million accommodation fee as agreed in his contract(N5 million for 2015 and another N5 million for 2016) if they want him to reside in Nigeria as he said he would not stay in the hotels when the Super Eagles are not in camp.
