Governor Ambode of Lagos state can not stop working.He has performed beyond average.To me he is the only governor in Nigeria that is working.He does not make noise.His achievements speak for him.He has completed the construction of a 500m long bridge in Badagry.Disclosing the news,he said...

'The newly built Imeke-Ajido bridge in Badagry is now ready and open for effective use'.

'Its so for me to post this but I have no choice than to post it for others to learn from it.
For some of us travelling home this Christmas time I know things are hard the cost of chicken is so expensive but please instead of stealing it you better beg the owner for it. Or better still eat from your neighbour.
This young girl is from my neighboring community, she has been coming to my community to steal chicken in one poultry farm where the owner of the farm does not use to sleep there, and the owner knowing that his chicken has been missing decided to be sleeping in his farm. Unfortunately for the girl this time she was caught and couldn't run away again as she use to.
Today is Christmas Eve hoping to fry the chicken tomorrow Christmas'

In the spirit of the season,  the Oyo State government, through the wife of the state Governor, Mrs Florence Ajimobi, has doled out Christmas gifts in monetary and material items to the people of the state.

The distribution which is a way of demonstrating the essence of the season- sharing and selfless giving- occurred at the government house tennis court yesterday.

Mrs Ajimobi stressed that the essence of christmas is giving, she therefore urged the beneficiaries to imbibe the spirit of giving and share with others from what they have received.

She also charged them to take the season not only as asa tine to wine and dine but to relish the goodness of God through the year while soberly reflecting on the mercies of life, sound health.

The distribution was made to the 354 wards in Oyo state, 10 homes and orphanages and the state and local government executives of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

Mrs Ajimobi wished everyone a merry Christmas and prayed that God will make the new year years prosperous one for all adding that God will change the situation in the country for better.

In her opening remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs, Mrs Foluso Sali, appreciated the wife of the state Governor for annually distributing the items to employ the life of selflessness and giving

'ENDANGERED SPECIES AS ANOTHER BIAFRAN KILLED BY NIGERIAN ARMY IS LAID TO REST

I have never met Ifeanyi Akaraka before, I have not even heard of his name before his death, but I decided to leave all the way from Port Harcourt to Uloano Amandugwa in Isu LGA in Imo State to pay him last respect because of the circumstances surrounding his death.

Based on the account given to me by the deceased younger brother, Ifeanyi drove from his house to his shop about 5pm the day of the election believing that election was over, he met the 2015 APC deputy governorship candidate in Rivers State, Asita Asita with some soldiers molesting people on the highway in Ahoada East LGA, he reversed his car and tried to leave the scene but he was chased after by the soldiers, he stopped, one of the soldier saw a Biafran flag in his car, he short him twice on the leg for displaying Biafran flag on an election day in Nigeria. They left him there bleeding, he died later in the hospital but not without recounting his ordeal in the hands of soldiers attached to Asita.

That was how Ifeanyi Akaraka, a young man of 35-year-old lost his life to power hungry vultures. When I entered his father's compound for the funeral, I saw people crying and laying curses on his killers, I almost cried while trying to console his wife who is nursing their 3 weeks old baby. According to his younger brother, he was the backbone of their father and the breadwinner of the entire extended family, all hope is lost now that he is no more.

This is not the first time Igbos are being killed by Nigerian army in Rivers State, just few months ago, Magnus Abe also of the APC brought soldiers to look for Solomon Ndigbara, his political enemy and they ended up killing 36 innocent people in Ogoni, 5 out of that 36 persons were Igbo traders in Bori'

May I ask why the 40%?The last time he paid them was 70%.I thought President Buhari released money to state governors recently.These deductions will likely make many Nigerians unpatriotic.As it stands now,many people are not to work for government.How can we pay our retired civil servants that have the country many years 40% of their salaries?Is this constitutional?

Ekiti state Governor Fayose and his wife celebratd 28th wedding anniversary yesterday. Ayodele Fayose, Governor of Ekiti state and his wife, Feyisetan have been married since December 19, 1988 and yesterday marked their 28th wedding anniversary.

Ayodele Fayose is one of Nigeria's most outspoken Governors under the umbrella of PDP and has roused a lot of controversies with his numerous outbursts and quotes.

He is however a great family man, apparently, fathering 5 children, and sticking with his wife for the whole of 28 years.
