So sad!
CelebritiesPopular Yoruba & Nollywood Actor Yomi Fabiyi Set 2 Divorce His British Wife(pics by chie8(op): 9:07pm On Nov 11, 2016
Popular Yoruba actor and producer, Yomi Fabiyi is set to divorce his British wife after four years of marriage. He disclosed the news on social media and wrote....

“It’s so sad that a lot of people never give me the benefit of the doubt. Only a handful think it is right to respect my freedom of choice. I have been unlucky in life, most of what I do normally have opposite impression irrespective of my positive mindset. I cannot help it and will rather prefer to continue to be real as possible, I am used to being misinterpreted my entire adult life. I never aim to hurt anybody in words or actions before them or behind them. I am never raised that way. They forget that some people no matter how horrible the situation, still has some dignity left in them.

I have also been raised to know that no matter how small the interactions I have with anybody, I should not let my manners slip. It cost nothing but could win a whole lot of goodwill. Moreso, I have been vigorously warned by my parents never to prove to know if what am ready to give out is a guess.

Hopefully Fran accepts my proposition to end this marriage now as I cannot continue this way, AM NOT HAPPY anymore as we edge close to the 4th year anniversary. Fran is such a beautiful woman, supportive and wish I come live in England, take up employmemt and study. I HAVE USED HER DOCUMENTS TO RENEW MY NORMAL VISA ONLY, so no question she is not willing, I NEVER said that. With all humility, if she never promised me she is coming to take up employment in Nigeria and live with me, maybe we may not have secured the dating. I have made it abundantly clear I am not prepared to live abroad as my career was just gathering shape then. I decor wedding hall Nigeria colour on purpose.

The outlook of my choice may look familiar to those marriages but I never thought people will think of me that way. I have to live with that but sometimes it can be so bruising.

I am focused on my career and keeping my fans and admirers entertained. I have an absolute right to do whatever makes me happy provided it is nothing criminal, illegal, immoral or anti-social. I am NOT interested with the reason two adult came together. It’s crude and an uncivilized thing to do for me. I HOPE I FIND TRUE LOVE AGAIN WHILE I PUSH FOR A HIT-FREE DIVORCE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I will be fine guys. Thank you – Yomi Fabiyi”

PoliticsOshiomhole Presides Over His Last Executive Council Meeting In Edo by chie8(op): 9:53am On Nov 10, 2016
Governor Adams Oshiomhole, yesterday, presided over his last State Executive Council session as Governor of Edo State and commended members of the Council for their steadfastness, commitment, industry and resourcefulness which contributed to the success of his administration.

Speaking at the valedictory exco session at the Government House, Benin City, Wednesday, Governor Oshiomhole said, “Let me thank each and every one of you for what God has used you to do for our people, for our great state. Let me say publicly that I do believe the evidence is there, that members of this state executive council are the least paid and work the hardest compared to any other state that I know of. I also know that we have had to work long hours. I recall a meeting we had, starting at 9.00 am, no adjournment and staying all the way to 7.00 am the following day. No break, no adjournment. We all agreed that we would do that and we would not adjourn until we had addressed the issue of the viability of this state so that we can deliver on our promises.”

He said, “I want to thank all of you. May God bless you; may God reward you. And we must have a sense of collective ownership of everything that happened while we were here. I want to apologise to those I harassed, and there is hardly anyone I didn’t, but it can be both ways. I wanted everything to be perfect. The harder I strived towards perfection, the more I realise that it can’t be, and I am still striving. I was always afraid to fail; it has been in nature. I didn’t design it. Thank you for tolerating a lot of that and for appreciating that nothing was personal.

“I am proud of each and every one of you, and as Odubu said, let’s see ourselves as members of a particular class, like you have members of an alumni association, you have a particular class. May God preserve this class, and may the membership of this class continue to advance.”

Oshiomhole continued, “With Godwin, I think one of us is taking over. We have a sense that the man who chaired our economic team with whom we had debates is going to continue. My prayer is that he will avoid our own mistakes and build on our strength and that the economic environment will be sufficiently enabling to enable him to do all of the good things I know he has in his heart, because what brought us together was the Edo project. I know he has passion; he has a commitment; he has the energy and he has the honesty of purpose, and above all, he has the competence. What he will need from us is the prayer for God to enable him to do so well that this club of which he was a member, he will be an example of how members of this club are performing and growing from strength to strength. Thank you so very much.”

Also speaking, the State Deputy Governor, Dr. Pius Odubu said, “I recall with nostalgia the very early days of our relationship. The very first time we met with regard to this project was in Abuja, and it was as if we had known each other for donkey years. We bonded as brothers. I recall again the trying moment, the trying period when our mandate was stolen. You provided exemplary leadership. Mr. Governor, sir, to say that you have performed beyond previously established boundaries will be to state the obvious.

“To also say that you began well and ended well will also be to state the obvious. Mr. Governor, sir, you have changed the Edo narrative.”

Dr. Odubu continued, “Before now, many of us were ashamed to identify ourselves as coming from Edo State. Today, we hold our heads high in various places to say, we are bonafide Edo indigenes. I want to thank you. My association with you has made me a better man.

In you, Nigerians have found a man who is worthy of emulation, a man that is selfless, a man that is dedicated not only to the course of Nigerians but the course of the common man. You have proved that tough times don’t last, but tough people do. You have taught us to fight; you have taught us to fight well. Be rest assured of your place in history because you did the greatest good for the greatest number of people in the shortest possible time. It remains for me, therefore, with blessed assurance to wish you a blessed future. I wish you all that you wish yourself.

Other members of the Edo State executive council took turns to pay glowing tributes to the Governor while the Governor thanked them one after the other

REMARKS BY CHAIRMAN, THE SUN PUBLISHING LIMITED, DR. ORJI UZOR KALU, AT THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE SUN NATIONAL SPOKESPERSONS’ CONFERENCE HOLDING AT THE NAF CONFERENCE CENTRE (OFFICERS MESS & SUITES), KADO, ABUJA ON NOVEMBER 8, 2016

PROTOCOL

It gives me much pleasure to be here today, at the opening ceremony of this auspicious National Spokespersons’ Conference. This conference could not have come at a better time than now when Nigerians are hungry for useful information on the goings-on in government.

Indeed, at a period of recession and economic challenges, the citizenry needs all the information they can get, especially on government’s effort towards getting the country out of the woods. This makes it imperative that those who have been saddled with the task of speaking for government or its officials and explaining government policies to be well honed in the art of communication.

As we listen to the speakers in this conference, one thing the participating government spokespersons should bear in mind is this: Your job is a very sensitive one that could make or mar the government or government officials you work for. Therefore, in the discharge of your duty, there is the need to be responsible, tactful and responsive, as careless comments or any slip could jeopadise stability and government’s efforts at the socio-economic and political development of the country.

I am particularly happy that The Sun, with this conference, has gone beyond information dissemination to setting up a platform for media advisers in government and information managers in government to not only learn their trade but also rob minds and network. It is a commendable contribution towards nation building at a very challenging time in our country’s history.

With the caliber of speakers that have been lined up for this two-day conference and the enthusiasm shown by participants, I have no doubt that we will have a robust discussion that will leave all stakeholders happy.

I wish you happy deliberations.

PoliticsNneoma Okorocha Donates A Bungalow To A Widow In Owerri Today (Photos) by chie8(op): 9:32pm On Nov 01, 2016
As shared by Fcc Jones...….

'IMO FIRST LADY SHARES LOVE AND SUCCOR

For Nneoma Nkehi Okorocha, the First Lady of Imo State, politics is nothing but rendering service, sharing love, and bringing succor. It does not matter where that downtrodden citizen is, nor does it count, his or her political leaning, she strives to reach as many people as she can, sharing love and restoring smiles in the process.
Through her pet project, She Needs A Roof Project (SNARP), the governor's wife has reached out to hundreds of widows and financially disadvantaged citizens of the State who never imagined themselves owning a house in their lifetime. Some of the beneficiaries of this project have suffered all forms of persecution from friends and relatives, because they do not own a house of their own. For majority of them, a shelter above their head, which they can lock anytime and access whenever they wish without fear of harrassment is all they asked for, but Imo First Lady comes to their aid with fully furnished and well designed bungalow.

Today, the First Lady donated another such house to Mrs Rosemary Ebere, a native of Umuokorie in Amawom village of Owerri-Nchi-Ise, Owerri Municipal LGA of the State.

So far, the Imo First Lady has donated over 300 of such houses to indigent citizens of the State, mostly widows who were left t an uncertain fate after their husbands and bread winners must have died without leaving them with any house.
Isaiah 1 vs 17 admonishes us thus; "Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause."
GOD HAS BLESSED IMO STATE'
