A teen in my compound has a problem with body odor. several times she come to my house left the air smelling so stale and rotten, i noticed her younger sister had same issue too.

i couldn't take it anymore, it was so bad and i was afraid she might be mocked in the future if nothing is done to combat it.

i asked her if she ever heard about roll-on or antiperspirant, she replied NO! shocked and this is someone using an iphone and changes clothing periodically. shocked

i gave her my antiperspirant and taught her the need to use it daily as most of the odor comes from her armpit. i told her point blank she doesn't smell nice, her face changed somehow as if i insulted her and she left.

i saw her today and she walked passed me while i was trying to talk to her.

did i do wrong ? children of these days.

And that's just the armpit oo
Imagine how the puna will smell

Romance / Re: Can You Marry A Lady Who Once Turned You Down For Your Best Friend? by ChiefAtang: 7:55am On Feb 06, 2022
Viltron:
It's a little long.

A girl I loved so much in our first year in uni. I was caring and all. She turned me down then in the most brutal way - with stern warnings never to try such rubbish again.

I took it like a man and even pleaded for her to forget it lets continue our friendship since we were on the same course and partners.

We were in the same city but she never visited me once. But I use to go to her place

On my birthday she didn't show up.

I went to see her along with my best friend then, who was studying in a different state, and one other friend. Gave her good money to cook. We ate.

Months later, I discover she and my best friend had been seeing each other since our meeting. To the point she'd been traveling to see him before things turned sour between them

When I discovered, she's started apologizing and begging, crying how she'd like us to date. By this time I was no longer in the school - I had changed uni. To a different state.

More than 10 years on, she's still professes love to me and wishes I marry her, but I made a vow to myself never to have anything to do with her after she and my best friend betrayed me.

Now she and my friend are sworn enemies

If you were in my shoes, what would you do.

The girl don realise say husband scares pass money. Now she wan fall back on you. My brother tell her unequivocally that you won't marry her. Make she go marry that your guy. Sheabi that time she dey feel like hot cake

That right is conferred on him by paying his rent! The moment his rent expires, all his right is extinguished.

The law always protects the tenant. Whether or not the right extinguishes by virtue of the expiration of his rent, the landlord has no right to break in and throw his properties outside. If landlord desires to recover possession, he should follow due process

Hello nairalanders, I trust God we are all fine... happy new year to you all.
Without wasing time I will love to go straight to the point. Comrades and erudites in the house please, I like to know if it's right for my landlord to break into my room and throw out my properties

The crux of the matter.... My rent expired on the 12th of January 2022 today is 14th and my landlord is already threatening to throw out my luggages should I fail to pack out before Sunday, 16th of this month because I promised to pay him yesterday but failed...I pleaded with him to understand that I'm having a little challenge.

I'm a student in the day, security guard at night this I have been doing for the past 3yrs to see myself through school instead of dropping out after I lost my sponsor...I actually had plans of paying my rent before 10th of January with the help of my December salary but it's rather unfortunate that uptill now my boss is yet to pay my December salary...and my landlord doesn't have patience in his dictionary, I can't even go to my room any more because of his threat...I'm just hanging around hoping to see salary alert any of this days but should it tarries and he goes on to throw my things out what can I do? Plus is he right to do that?

Please honourable nairalanders your input in this matter will be highly appreciated...

Sue him for trespass to property. As a tenant, you have a right of possession in the house, and if any body enters (including your landlord) that's trespass to property.

But base on the scenario, op wey you go get money sue am. Cus Nigerian Landlord go say you nor get money renew rent, but you get money to go court.
So just meet him and iron out things, express your disappointment in his actions and then clarify him on when you'll be able to pay him.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: 200k A Month In Abuja Vs 300k A Month In Lagos by ChiefAtang: 5:37am On Jan 07, 2022
Oseigha:
Dear Nairalanders.
I currently have two job offers on the table. One is in Abuja and the pay is about N200,000 a month, while the other is in Lagos and the pay is about N300,000. I am presently based in Abuja and have never stayed in Lagos. I only visited on occasions. The Lagos offer is tempting but I am kind of apprehensive about relocating there because of the challenges that come with staying in Lagos.
Please I need your inputs. Which would you rather choose, the Lagos offer or the Abuja one?
Serious suggestions only please!

I for say make you move go Lagos, but on second thought, getting a house and the rest of things you need go sap your money well. So remain in Abuja wr you won't have to rent another house n buy this n that

Your mother wore Arsenal Jersey and Wrapper to church on Christmas day.

But you want to buy phone of N60,000 for a girl who adds NO value to your life.

Be gathering ancestral curses, you hear!
