The very well known terrible and disastrous president in the history has decided to offer an appointment to dear Bishop Kukah as a bribe to stop taking the truth. But it won't work.
IPOB Igbos will cry blood, over this laudable appointment. Unfortunately Asiwaju no send una pápá!

I laughed each time I read online that an Igbo person illicit drug trading to insult the President. Igbo for that matter, where every family has at least one member in foreign prisons, for drug traffic related crimes.

El Rufai should be prepared for a fierce fight, by the time the proper fight commences, I strongly doubt if his new admirers, the Igbo IPOB will still support him. SDP will either expel him from their small and manageable Party or denied that he has ever been their member.

Influence! You either have it or you don't. Northern youths are very active on tiktok and Elrufai is already very popular amongst young Northerners. He would use the platform to further connect with the youth and do more damage to Tinubu. Game on!
The kind wailing we will witness from you between 2027 to 2031, will be incomparable to what we witnessedfrom the Igbos, since 2015. You are everywhere on Nairaland, hyping an ordinary citizen against an incumbent President, because una be Hausa, with plenty alimajiris. Don't worry, 2027 will clear your doubt, you will realise that Hausa/Fulani are afterall not as indomitable as you think they are, it's partly because they've never met their equal in some Southern Politicians. Tinubu is here for a reason and Hausa/Fulani will be demystified!
Politics › Re: MC Tagwaye Resigns From APC And Joins SDP by ChiefOloye(m): 2:50pm On Mar 14, 2025
AMINDA:
Elrufai is not popular but the APC has expended all its arsenal trying to combat him for weeks, and he seems to be having the upperhand. He has single-handedly revived the opposition. Elrufai is doing exactly what he's supposed to do, taking the momentum off Tinubu's campaign in the North. The real traditional opposition figures have not even entered the conversation yet and APC is in disarray.

These are Buhari’s disciples gauging the body language of their patron and doing the needful but Agbadorians are jubilating and patting themselves on the back just because Buhari said he's still a member of the APC. Is "I am for everybody and I am for no-one" a joke to y'all? Buhari's political mantra is like Nigeria's diplomatic policy, "non-alignment". We will all learn politics together.
I don't know if you are a Northern or not, whichever, President Tinubu will win in 2027, through whichever means. If the North will be angry with his victory, they can reactivate another terrorist organisation, name it Bokoharam promax or Banditry II, then kill another 1,000,000 abokis. Kò kan ayé. Useless power mongers, they had power for more than 40 years of Nigeria 65 years, nothing to show for it, yet just less than 3 years of being the no 1 in Aso Rock, they want to die!

Politics › Re: Northern Group Threatens Total Shutdown If Natasha Is Not Recalled In 48hrs by ChiefOloye(m): 1:13pm On Mar 11, 2025
Lifestylecom:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ii9fLm4ITG4

A Northern Group has threatened a total shutdown if Senator Natasha is not recalled within 48hrs.

The group also called for Senator Akpabio's resignation.

In the same vein, the Arewa Youth Assembly For Good Leadership (AYAGL) has threatened to block the Lokoja/Kaduna highway as well as occupy the National Assembly if the Senate fails to suspend the six-month suspension placed on Senator Natasha Akpoti.

The group also called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to call the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, to order.

Addressing a press conference in Kaduna, the Speaker of the Assembly, Ambassador Abdul Danbature, said, “Going by what has happened under the leadership of Senator Godswill Akpabio, we believe Akpabio is fighting the North directly or indirectly.

“Northern Nigeria deserves more than what it’s getting from Akpabio as Senate President. Without the overwhelming support of our Senators from the North, Akpabio wouldn’t be sitting as Senate President today.

“He must stop the victimisation of Senators from the North. He must stop his selective justice. He should realise that power, position, and influence are ephemeral.”

“Our reasons for this belief are not far-fetched. The perfunctory suspension of distinguished Senator Natasha Akpoti recently has reinforced our beliefs that Akpabio is fighting the North.

“What has Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan done to warrant her suspension from legislative duties for six months? What has she done to warrant her change of seat? What has she done to warrant her removal as Senate Committee Chairman on Local Content? And above all, what have Northern women done to deserve continued harassment?

“What has Northern Nigeria done against Senator Akpabio to stop a motion moved by Senator Natasha on the NLNG gas pipeline project to Northern Nigeria? A lot of questions are begging for answers, and we hope Senator Akpabio will provide answers.

To this end, he said, “Akpabio must heed our call to recall Senator Natasha within 48 hours, or else we will occupy the National Assembly Complex, block the Lokoja-Kaduna express road, and all the 19 Northern States and FCT.

“We are very much ready and prepared to engage in civil protest until our demands are met.

“We call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to wade into this matter because some sections of the North believe Akpabio could not have done this without his imprimatur.

“As youth, we are using this medium to tell Akpabio that nothing lasts forever, no position is permanent, and no power is eternal. Therefore, we would like to advise him to be circumspect and treat his colleagues equally and fairly.”
They're mad! Faceless group with empty threats. They're badtards, I'll help them extend the ultimatum to 72 hours and nothing will still happen thereafter. As it stands, only court of competent jurisdiction can bring that promiscuous Natasha back the Senate, before the expiration of her suspension.

This is not about "...just show you can be like lagos..." was Fayemi too envious of Lagos, when he "spent" over ₦20 billion, to build "a cargo Airport" in Ado? Akure has a functional Airport, Ado to Akure is just 61 miles, rather than Fayemi snergizing with his friend, Late Akeredolu, to fix the 41 kilometre Akure - Ikere-Ado road, he preferred to embezzle, steal and wasted ₦20b in the name of building an airport in Ekiti. The airport is abandoned and Fayemi has moved on , nobody is asking any question. This is why laughed whenever I heard anyone praised a Nigerian politician.

I have just realized why Babangida released his memoirs some few days ago, the whistle has been blown, there are some Intel the north has that no body else has not even Britain. 2027 battle has started in earnest, Babangida is effectively covering the middle belt, Atiku the north east, El rufai north west , Obi the whole Eastern Obidients block. The election that happened in osun is another pointer...

All I want the east is to negotiate an economic breathing space by having oil companies headquarters in Port Harcourt, a banking capital in Asaba dor UBA, Fidelity, Access, zenith, media capital in Asaba for guardian.ng, thisday, Arise TV, Ray Power, sun newspapers, AIT and another diplomatic capital in enugu. With our traders having a trading hub in Onitshaand Aba to absorb those relocated from Lagos, this can be done so that we can have some breathing space and relief from Lagos
You have stopped begging God to divert the waters in Lagos to Onitsha cheesy. Why do thought of Yorubas' success give some of you schizophrenia?

Svoboda:
No doubt. He has friends and allies in the north that can fall in line for him. But they couldn't help him cross the line. He needed a divided opposition to do it for him. That tells you that friends and allies have a limitation. Will just his friends and allies be enough for him come 2027? Time will tell. No doubt, he isn't GEJ, but he is potentially running against a northerner in Atiku. He is no small fry by all means. He also has friends and allies in the north. The question is, would you expect that the north, no matter how divided it is, go against its very own in Atiku while the southwest coalesce behind their very own in tinubu? What do you think would attract an average northerner to snub his brother on the ballot and vote a southwesterner when he can keenly observe the feel good factor among the presidents kinsmen.
Where do I even start from? You're talking as if Atiku wasn't in the ballots against the same Tinubu, in 2023, my brother leave story, Asiwaju wasn't the President, no Minister, no SAs, and other appointees from the North to do his bidding in 2023, yet, he scored 3million plus votes accross the 3 northern geopolitical zones. He 2027, he will be an incumbent player and you are rating him this low, my brother bookmark this comment, President Tinubu will better his in 2027 results across the North than he did in 2023. You should not allow your hatred and wishful thinking to be cloud your sense of reason and good judgement. This is Nigeria, where the rigger with the highest spread around the country win elections

Lol. Waiting for the Batists from Iragbiji that would take over this thread, telling us how "Northern elites" are behind Tinubu. The signs are becoming clearer.
Muslim-muslim ticket will offer no political advantage in 2027. The President would be better off ditching Shettima and scouting for a Northern Christian Vice. Since his strategy seems to be replacing Northern majority for the minorities, it will pay him more to go all out and strengthen his new base.
You go cry tire shocked shocked shocked 2027 is too far away, you should hold your tears for at least till late 2026... grin grin
