Why does Tinubu keep fueling the "rumours" by conspicuously leaving out Shettima's image from all campaign posters. It is to keep the likes of Kukah as perpetual praise singers while they continue to hope. Same way Reno Omokri has been confirmed as Ambassador but might never get posted. Same way he keeps the likes of Gbajabiamila and co in perpetual hope of becoming Lagos state governor after Sanwo-olu.

Which Sen. Abdullahi Adam, isn’t he the same man who has declared for the ADC? I wouldn’t be surprised if those who compiled the list simply put it together without first reaching out to the people whose names they included. Nigerian politicians and their handlers are a bunch of lazy people, all they care about is how to steal people’s patrimony and impoverish the masses. That was exactly how the ADC came up with a list of 50 people, some of whom had nothing to do with them and later publicly denounced any involvement, only for Bolaji Abdullahi, their spokesperson, to then go to the press engaging in unnecessary and shameful damage control.

You’re absolutely correct. That is our pitiable reality. It’s not only on Nairaland, even in my office, I can’t fairly criticise the government without being taunted with phrases like, “Isn’t it your brother that is President?” or “Was it not you who voted for him?” On the other hand, if I commend a government policy, it is immediately assumed that I’m doing so because I’m Yoruba. To have a simple, decent conversation about government with such people is almost impossible.

I agree that a combination of Atiku and Obi would be a potent team. Where I disagree with you is your suggestion of a single term for Atiku followed by another single term for Obi. I laughed at your baby sense of Nigerians and Nigeria’s political patterns. In Nigeria, politics is a personal project only during campaigns; the moment you win, you become the project of your tribe, religion, and ethnic group.
Even if Atiku agreed to govern for just four years, I would bet that he would renege a few months after assuming office, because his supporters and sycophants having grown accustomed to power and will not want to relinquish it after only 48 months. His ethnic base would also insist that it is their turn to enjoy a full tenure in Aso Rock.. Perhaps you think after all these years of marginalisation, disrespect and struggle for power, an Igboman will become President, only to give up after 4 years, then Igbos will thereafter wait for another 4 decades to get to Aso Rock again. So, that idea should be discarded; it simply will not work

He will definitely contest under NNPP in 2027, so he needs to pledge loyal to Kwankwaso until he gets what he wants .

These people should calm down and stop making mountains out of molehills. The banner issue was insignificant, but mischievous individuals are amplifying it as if it were the President himself who organised the event and deliberately removed his Vice President’s picture and name. I can bet that Asiwaju cannot and will not drop Shettima, if he does, his core supporters would challenge him.
