Good for you.At least they considered you fairly, many will not.
well my wife made her people to see me as someone that doesnt have. Therefore when their umunna brought their list, one man whom i dont know from anywhere & claim that he is my middle man. The man rejected the list brought by umunna (which is not much anyway. If i had followed their list, it would have cost me like 70k for evertthing). And wrote something that i looked at and couldnt believe it. The man stood by me & it was just fun and wonderful.

Also it worked for me cos my father inlaw does not join them when they charge a visitor high.

So am thankful to that man that played the middle man.

Dem don dey tear eye small small grin grin
lolzzz marriage is not really about bride‘s price but about other things that follow. Like cost of drinks, cost of food, cost clothes for parents & ashoebi etc.
I know a place where u will spend more than 200k but the bride‘s prsice is 20niara. The reason is after spending that huge amount of money in ceremony if anything goes wrong and you talk about divorce, they will sharpaaly refund ur 20niara.
So it is not about “just“ the bride‘s price but about the total sum spent both in wedding & trad.

lolzzzz you dont know anything at all.

My wife is from Orumba North & I am from Aguate... All in Anambra state. Everything I spent both bride price, food & drink for my trad is about 40k. Incluiding the vehicle that transported my kindred to the place.

Most times i blame guys for their predicament. When you are dating a girl and you are buying her all kinds of stuff. Puffing up trying to impress both the girl and her family. Why wont they bring knife to slash off your head.

I also blame ladies who become very weak when they face their parents. They forgot that after paying heavy amount of money, na she hunger go fire.

In my family we collect 8k for the father & 2k for the mother... Thats 10k... Only soft drinks and non alcoholic wine.

Ngige gathered touts like him the other day claiming that GEJ deceived Ndi Igbo with second niger bridge.

I was suprised because everyday i pass through that place you will see that work is going on. Then i wonder whose interest ngige and rochas are representing.
As for the refineries they haave halted the job. They will continue in later time so that all the credit will go to Buhari. But we know who started it and we know how far it has gone before they came in.

Then EFCC... That one is a BIG joke. The only person that might end up in jail is Ohakim. As for Lamido & Nyako. They are just using it to distraact us from asking Buhari to woke up to his responsibilities.

Nyako was in hidding all through GEJ‘s time in office after he was impeeched. He appeard on 30th May after buhari‘s inuaguration. Do u think he came out of hiding to end in jail? Nooooo.

Remember he is of the military stock.
Then lamido does not have any case. Forget the media hype. Soon u wont hear about the issue again or they will set them (nyako & lamido) free.

Isn't there a possiiblity that Nnamdi Kanu and Radio Biafra might actually have the US and UK and interested allies as their clandestine supporters?

The way I see it, these foreign folks might likely use Radio Biafra as a recruiting ground of sorts, waiting to cause an upheaval in Buhari's administration should he refuse to play ball with them....

Politics › As Buhari Heads To The United States Of America (opinion) by Chigold101(op):
I think one of the things that have occupied our airwaves and print media after the war at National Assembly by APC house members is the President’s visit to the USA. This visit has attracted all kinds of opinion. Some believe that President Buhari’s visit to the USA will open doors of opportunities which Nigeria lost during the time of former President Jonathan, while others believe that president’s visit will not be favorable to Nigerians because the USA is known as a country who does not give anything to anybody freely. All these opinions are valid depending on which side of the coin you look at from your standing position. Therefore it will make no meaning trying to ague or disagree with any of the opinions.
But the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which Mr Buhari heads has been laying more emphasis on the security situation of this country. The security situation of Nigeria has moved from bad to worst with every passing day since after May 29th when President Buhari took over from Mr Jonathan. No thanks to the increased suicide bomb attacks by the terrorists operating in the northern part of this country.
Any wise person who loves human being will support President Buhari’s move to win the war over Boko Haram with the corporation of the United States of America. The bloodshed in this country has gone overboard therefore every individual that is called Nigerian not minding where the person resides is supposed to be happy and lend his or her support to the President whom has found favour with the United States of America and other G7 countries.
But personally I have been finding it hard to come into terms with the reason for the enthusiasm that oozes out of Mr Buhari since he returned from G7 meeting in June.
MY CONCERN:
SECURITY; I do not know how the United States will help Nigeria fight and win the war against insurgency when they have failed to even control ISIS in Iraq. The United States of America have their soldiers stationed in Iraq but ISIS has run them out of many places in Iraq. The insurgents have attempted taken over Bagdad many times but Boko Haram has been restricted to Simbisa forest by “weak” Nigerian military. The “strong” USA armies have not been able to stop them ISIS. It now beats my imagination how the USA will now come to Nigeria where they have no military base to help Nigeria win the war on terrorism.
LOOK AT THIS:
When the war against ISIS was at its peak in Tikrit, Iraqi’s second biggest city the USA army were nowhere to be found. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/03/03/us-isis-battle_n_6795926.html
In March this year the United States Defense Secretary accused Iraqi army of not having the will power to fight ISIS. http://rt.com/usa/261681-carter-iraq-fight-isis-ramadi/ the same thing they accused Nigerian Army of sometimes last year.
In March again this year when al-Qaeda took over some towns in Yemen the USA pulled out their army http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2015/03/21/yemen-us-military/25138325/
http://edition.cnn.com/2015/03/21/middleeast/yemen-unrest/
Americans also accused Obama of being slow in fighting ISIS, http://www.cbsnews.com/videos/obama-fight-against-isis-a-long-slow-battle/ so how then will Obama fight the Nigerian insurgents if he has failed woefully to win the war against ISIS in a country which they (USA) have been in control of since 2003.
Why does Nigeria government trust that the USA will help her fight insurgency when the same USA has failed doing same in many other countries? Or is there something Nigerians are not being told here?
As a Nigerian what do you think?

My point is that the article deflected from the main issue. There is no debate about when the money was accrued, but rather on who took delivery of the money and the disclosure of such receipt.

It is wrong for PDP to claim that GEJ received the money and kept it for GMB, when it is very probable that if he had indeed received the money, then it would have ‘disappeared’ just like the previous payments.
okay...
Now lets look at it very well.

The director said the money was from their 2014 activities. If they are just remiting 2014 money now doesnt that show u that it is not what they do monthly or quarterly but yearly.

Now another thing we must ask is this: was this money supposed to be made pubic?

Did former governments made it public?

Does it mean that governors only forced buhari to give them feeding money?

Humn!

Politics › Re: Jonathan Kicks As Buhari Plans $ 2 . 1 B Oil Cash Probe by Chigold101(m): 7:32am On Jul 15, 2015
iamkunleajayi:
HOLIDAYING former President Goodluck
Jonathan has dashed into Abuja to launch
a protest , The Nation has learnt.
Dr Jonathan is disturbed by the
determination of President Muhammadu
Buhari to probe how $2. 1billion was
illegally withdrawn from the Excess Crude
Account ( ECA) , sources said yesterday ,
pleading not to be named “because of the
sensitivity of the matter” .

Jonathan is said to be planning a protest
to the Gen. Abubakar Abdulsalami National
Peace Committee for 2015 General
Elections that :
• the Buhari administration is trying to
blackmail him and his erstwhile cabinet
members ;
• he is not pleased with the corruption tar
being put on his administration ; and that
• he is worried by the likely probe of the
whereabouts of the $4 billion taxes and
dividends paid by the Nigerian Liquified
Natural gas Ltd between 2009 and 2014 .
Jonathan and some of his ministers are
said to be angry that Buhari ought to
know that such taxes and dividends are
remitted to the Federal Inland Revenue
Service ( FIRS ) .

Another matter troubling Jonathan and his
ministers , according to sources , is how the
Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation
(NNPC ) under his watch allegedly blew
N3. 8trillion in three years.
The Abdulsalami Committee is yet to have
audience with Buhari on the allegations
made by Jonathan, a source said .
The former President arrived in the country
last weekend to “ defend his
administration” . He could not be reached
for comments last night .
It was, however , learnt that he had chosen
to table before the Abdulsalami Committee
some issues, including the controversial
$2. 1billion withdrawn from the Excess
Crude Account ( ECA ) without recourse to
the National Economic Council (NEC) .

A source said : “The former President
returned into the country at the weekend
but he is unhappy with the bashing of his
administration.
“Jonathan believes that Buhari is
blackmailing him and his ministers ,
contrary to the terms of the 2015 poll
peace agreement which led to a smooth
transition from the Peoples Democratic
Party ( PDP ) to the opposition All
Progressives Congress ( APC ) .
“I think Jonathan approached the
Abdulsalami Committee so that he will be
left alone by Buhari who openly said he
inherited an empty treasury from his
predecessor. ”

A former minister in the Jonathan
administration, who spoke in confidence,
said : “The ex - President is unhappy that the
administration of Buhari has been
stigmatising his administration instead of
putting him into confidence on issues.
“For God ’ s sake , let them allow this man
to earn his well -deserved retirement . If
there is any observation by the new
government, there are standard official
procedures of addressing such . ”
NEC, on June 29, raised a four -man panel
on how NNPC spent N 3. 8 trillion in three
years.

The four ‘ wise men ’ are Governors Adams
Oshiomhole ( Edo) , Udom Emmanuel ( Akwa
Ibom ) , Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna ) and
Ibrahim Dankwambo (Gombe ) .
While awaiting the submission of the
committee’ s report , Oshiomhole joined
issues with the immediate past Minister of
Finance , Dr . Ngozi Okonjo -Iweala , on how
$2. 1billion in ECA was disbursed without
approval . He said the $2 . 1 billion , only $1 billion was
paid to oil marketers as fuel subsidy and
about $ 1billion used for election purposes .
Although Mrs . Okonjo -Iweala claimed that
the ex -President approved the spending of
$1 billion , Oshiomhole said Jonathan had
no right to do so .He said any withdrawal from the account ought to be approved by NEC .
