Yes, you just need to instruct WES to forward it to whoever needs it in Canada with as little as $7

Thank you very much. God bless you

Get a contact in the school through school Web, facebook, LinkedIn, make friends tell him/her to help you apply for your transcript then pay, it work for me, though am in Nigeria but different state, or you can use friends or family member to apply for it.
If you have money to spend then evaluate your credentials with WES so that you won't need to contact your school for transcript again. Work for me too

Thank you very much Ayo, I really appreciate your response. I have just contacted someone in the sch's exam and records and she asked me to send the form from WES. My kid bro who just graduated from the sch will help with the processing. So please does this that subsequesntly in the future when i need my transcript say for immigration or another school etc, I dont need to request from the school anymore, i just refer to the WES evaluation.

Please let me understand. Thank you again.

Dear All,
Please i need help. If you are outside nigeria and want WES to evaluate your transcript, how did you contact your school? Being that most uni's in naija do not have email adresses. Please let me know the route you took.

Thank you all.

chigoziri nice to see you here again. Obviously your previous immigration record will show up but as you rightly pointed out giving an honest answer will make a huge difference. Nobody can say categorically if you will be given or not but honesty will be an added advantage.

Happy new year in advance

Thank you very much and good hear from you so promptly as usual. I really do appreciate your response and i will keep that in mind. Thank you again

Welcome to part 3 of this thread, part 2 is now far too for newbies to read through.

Please see part 2 here for references https://www.nairaland.com/2176096/give-birth-usa-cost-procedures

Thank you.
thanks for pointin that out. That's y I stated in one of my previous post that I cud not remember if chigoziri was asked durin her interview or not.

Anyway lots of advice has been given on the issue so she can think it tru and follow her heart not forgetting to pray very well too

justwise:

chigoziri case is out of the picture here, she categorically lied at the interview when asked if she was pregnant then letter sent a letter the embassy stating her intent to use the visa for child birth...that is a clear case of misrepresentation.

Its not the same case with the one we are discussing.

Dear Justwise - Good day and compliments of the season. I dont know if you remember the posts above last year. Ok, now i want to go back for another VISA...this time not for birthing purposes...just for vaction and training. I am not pregnant as well, baby girl is a year plus. smileysmiley...so far, we been to 2 european countries and now i want to go for a visa. I am wondering, is there a possibility of being rejected? Assuming they ask why the visa is cancelled, ofcourse I will be honest to say i lied . Please let me know what your thoughts especially on how i should respond.

Thank you and happy new year

Hi chigoziri, i read your post ,Do you speak french? i speak french fluently and God willing am going to Quebec at Laval university to pursue my study in MBA in Supply Chain Management(Winter 2016). what about you?

Hey Kmariane - Enchantez...Oui, je parle tres bien le francais...et toi? great...congrats on your admission. I have applied to Uni of Regina for Masters in HR. But i stopped at that because i have deceided to go in 2017 instead so i will resume applications in 2016. I would really love to school in quebec but its kinda hard to find a Masters in HR and i dont want to do an MBA now. Anyways, i wish you all the best and j'espere que un jour, on pourras se voir. Vous pouvez m'aider aussi a faire un peu de recherche sur les ecoles qui offrent le masters in HR a Quebec. Ca me fera plaisir...ciao

thesoj:
You are welcome. Good points. I would still suggest applying for MSc or MBA if you can though. Have you considered uOttawa? They are a fully bilingual university and you could apply for a program there in French as well -- most of their programs are taught either in English or French. Look up their MSc in Management or their MBA. You could pick the French-taught option, in which case uOttawa would significantly reduce your tuition such that you pay the same amount as Canadian students. Also, uOttawa is located only about a ten-minute drive from the Quebec border so you would have access to a whole lot of francophone as well as anglophone job opportunities.

Many thanks dear..God bless you. I am checking them out now. funny enough i havent. I have already applied to U of Regina - Masters in HR and U of Windsor - Msc HRM. Just tot i can do 2 more colleges - Seneca and Conestoga for Graduate certificate in HR just to broaden my chances of admission. I will also check out Uottawa. God will continue to bless you as guide and advice people here..Amen

Thank you Khalesi and thesoj, Just like you said, i will need to strongly convince the VO in my SOP. As for travel history mentioned by thesoj, i have visited 2 european countries ( 2wice each) and 1 asian country (once) plus 4 African countries (if that counts). As for funds, not an issue, I have saved quite some amount ( remember am applying for 2016 fall or 2017 winter) so my funds will be very high by then and i am sponsoring myself. I will go on study leave, i am paid in USD over 7500 net per month and i will continue to get paid for 4months while i am on study leave. my hubby will not join immediately so my ties backhome will be justified. I have worked in Banks for 8years now. Above all the special Grace of God will follow me as usual anyday i am ready to apply for a TVR grin . I can see Conestoga college has anointing and i will tap into. Thank you once again for your advice.

[quote author=thesoj post=39389037]True talk. I completely agree that PGD after masters or even Diploma/Advanced Diploma after BSc can fetch one a TRV. But I think there is an extraordinarily high burden of proof on the applicant to convince the VO to grant the TRV otherwise "Purpose of Visit" will be a quick reason for denial. This is why as a rule of thumb I would mostly advice against it unless the applicant can write a very very convincing SOP to make the case for it.

Also, an applicant like @MiniMicro03 is relatively young, and is not a risky applicant whatsoever because he/she had visited ten countries in the past. Additionally, @MiniMicro03 is a self-sponsor with over $70,000 (at the age of 25)! All this would likely allay any concerns that the applicant might be an intending immigrant who is desperately trying to run away from Naija.

Most applicants on this thread trying to go for PGD after masters or Diploma/Advanced Diploma after BSc are complex applicants with little to no travel history or relatively lower savings (<$20,000 in most cases) or a patchy employment history. Furthermore, many such applicants don't sufficiently explain in their SOP why they are not going for a higher degree. Thus getting a TRV for a lower degree has been a tall task for most applicants here.

Having said that, I congratulate @MiniMicro03 for his/her TRV. Your successful application once again confirms that VOs view each applicant independently and there isn't a hard and fast formula (in the strict sense) to getting a TRV. I applaud your efforts at putting together an excellent application. Congrats again man/ma'am. Also, thanks for sharing your story.

This is also a cautionary tale for those who want quick and fast advice on how to package their TRV application... as @miniMicro03 said, patiently read the thread and customize your application to your own situation.

Happy sunday good people, Yesterday was my birthday and i was execeited cos i message from Naira land. Thank you all.

I have applied to U of Regina and i also want to apply to these schools and i have a question
Uni of Winnipeg - Diploma in HR
Seneca College - HR management certificate (graduate certificate)
Conestega college - HR Management ( Graduate certificate)

they all require a degree result and transcript for application. My questions are:
1 - Are they lower than a degree
2 - Assuming i get an admission to any of the schools and i deceide to apply visa, will i be rejected being that the course is below a degree.

I am 2005 gradute..Being working since 2008 in HR. 32yrs

Thank you all for your candid response

Hummm..thank you..funds are not an issue at all, the issue is actually time. Time to prepare for the test and write the test. we work and hardly have time so thats why i wanted to write the french becos i studied french (1st degree), i speak fluently, live and work in a francophone country so i am french except in my passport lol.. Moreover, the test venue is not far from my house (stay in Lome). Hubby is not so good in French dats why i asked if he could do IELTS. if we have to do IELTS, we need to drive down to Accra which ofcourse ill need 3 days off work and again, we need to prepare. the next ielts exam in Accra is dec 2, 7th and 9th if am not mistaken. so its actually the time.
JesusDWay:

I suggested you write the two, not sharing it between you and hubby. If funds are the constraints, I'll advice you borrow now to do the exam and you can the person later.

I suggest you write and have your results before January 1st cuz, you may miss the opportunities in January if you wait till February

Tips like these are invaluable. I've been wondering where to even get correct winter jackets in Naija since we no get winter. I was already perusing Amazon to buy and ship down cry spending from the kain low budget. I will be arriving in December (which I heard is the wicked winter period) and with my daughter too(I'm already weeping for the poor girl and the climate shock she'll get). Please who knows where one can get thermal wears around here and will also need one or two winter jackets.

Still looking for any female student-parent going to uOttawa to share a cosy apartment with or if you're single and won't mind a toddler's presence we can also share.

As an HR Professional, i wrote mine out of my 7years experience and the passion for this professional field. I have never written an SOP before before when i sent to pple to help and review, they were stunned #not bragging oo...

@MrPeniel - Are you for a graduate or undergraduate program? I want to assume you are working in HR, otherwise, just as @thesoj advised, do your research and come up with why you want to study HR.

thesoj:
Your SOP is your story. If you can't describe why you want to study Human Resource Management, then that means that you either have not thought deeply enough about it or this is not the right course for you. You need to take your time to figure out exactly why you want to study this course. Also, you need to not be in such a hurry... there are certain things in life that require your best efforts; this is one of them. Additionally, there is an infinity of websites that describe what should be addressed in an SOP. Here is one such website: http://grad.berkeley.edu/admissions/apply/statement-purpose/

We are in the age of information, use it to your advantage.

Thank you JesusDway. As you suggested, i will consider writing the 2 tests, but can my husband write IELTS while i write TEF as the principal applicant. Also, I am not sure i will meet up with this year's application.my aim is to do the test in January and then apply by early february 2016. I hope that is ok, What do you think please??

I will suggest you write the two. I think there's an opportunity for you to get New Brunswick's PNP as a French speaker though, you must also be in the EE pool. You need to do fast though because the PNP is for the year which is almost running out

Thank you Issydebo and Zandora very much for the insight - I appreciate.

@IssyDebo - I also work in an International bank but in HR. that means the long and short of it all is that Embassies one way or another verify authenticity of bank statements which invariably is also a confirmation that i have xyz amount in my account, right?

I think you're good to go. Your portfolio is tight so your SOP's quality won't be a problem. I prefer HR anyday anytime and you can study in French as already said.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by chigoziri7: 12:21am On Oct 21, 2015
Thank you JesusDWay. I have done a self assessment and it says i qualify to apply but the issue is that processing is like 21months...nearly 2years - do you know if this is true? I have seen the visa fees too.

Meanwhile, does the embassy call banks to verify an applicants account balance - this is an argument i had with a colleague today. Told him they do not and he said the do. Please confirm ....Thank you again...

JesusDWay:

Quebec was supposed to open application on October 1st but it appears they are yet to start and so, it's a good one for you. One of those links should take you to where you can self-assess first to determine if you are eligible so, I say you start with that first and bear in mind that you will pay application fee of over 700dollars I think, and like 162 for each accompanying member.

Thank you dear, I appreciate. will check out the links and let you know if i require further explanation. Thank you
zandora:

Dupyshoo above has already provided important links about Quebec, in addition :

1) If your husband is the principal applicant he'll need to provide reference letters only for the skilled jobs he wishes to claim points for. These must be jobs done in the past 10 yrs and can be previous or current work. This is for FSW though, don't know what the criteria is for Quebec.
2) See Dupyshoo's links above.
3) No you don't need to get a job there first before moving.
4) Going to school in another province and applying for PR via QSW will raise a red flag and you may be refused under the QSW. This is because to apply via QSW program you must reside in Quebec or show intention to reside in Quebec such as providing a job offer from a Quebec employer.
5) If you become a permanent resident via FSW or QSW, you can reside in any province you want. There's no time limit for residing in any particular province.

I am new on this thread and i will like to appreciate you and the time and effort you put in in guiding pple here. Again, conratulations on the success of your application. While i have taken oyut time to read thru this 2 page, I will also like to ask the following
1. My hubby has stopped working for the past 2 years, does he need to provide any references from his previous work place?
2. I am also intrested in going to Quebec because of the French langauge (I am very fluent). this is also to help my hubby and baby daughter perfect their french Langauage skills, therefore, what and what do i need to apply to Quebec as i understand they do not do express entry.
3. Do we need to get jobs there before moving?
4. I have started applying for masters in schools in other provinces but not yet in Quebec, assuming i get admission in another province and i go to sch, what happenes when the Quebec nomination comes out or does going to sch in another province cancels the Quebec Immigration application?
5. How long do i have to live in Quebec before moving to another province?

I will really appreciate your candid responses. Please note, hubby and i are preparing to take the ielts and get our transcripts reviewed by WES,

God bless you

Please see below.

1 $11,931
2 $14,853
3 $18,260
4 $22,170
5 $25,145
6 $28,359
7 or more $31,574

Therefore for a single applicant you need $11,931 Canadian which is equivalent to N1,779,260 as at today's exchange rate. You need to show 6 months bank statement but the money doesn't need to be in your account for the full 6 months. However any large inflow into your account within the 6 months needs to be explained and backed up by the proper documentation, therefore it's advisable for the funds to be in your account for the full 6 months to avoid complications.
