@ Anc today i only added 1kg to my last Anc weight which was 4weeks back (if i mention my weight una go run). So, the nurse say na pple like u dey born fast. I said why? She said no excessive weight gain. When met ob/gyn, he said 1kg increase is not bad in as much my child is fine. After palpitating nd gbogboe he said madam: you & ur son are very well. Then i began my questions
1. How much is birth with epidural? He said 100k 2. What abt CS? He said 250k
3. What if im HIV+? He said ARV abi na HRRT i cant remember.
4. What if i refuse the meds? He said: madam, you wont for the sake of your child.
5.I said cant an hiv+ person birth a -child? He said: she can but, the chances are slim due to exposure in birth canal
I dey fear to test since one day when i go fix weavon( i dont know who sent me o) when the stylist mistakenly chook my head with needle( i used to goan test like kilode until dat incident i come start dey fear). Mamas, plz encourage ur sister in the Lord to goan take her test
He now said why all these questions? i said to him I'm open minded nd like to look at worse case scenario

Finally he said if you have all those ur many many questions dont hesitate to come next week nd ask me. If not see you in 4weeks

Last question, have you had history of cyst prior to preggy or it only developed during preggy?

My colleague at work (on whose behalf I'm posting) had always had about 5cm prior to preggy. Reason why I'm asking his yours is.

At 8 weeks i had 4.8mm X 5.8mm cyst....At 14 weeks, we no see am again...even now at 26 week, we still dey look for am

Hopefully, yours will vanish like mine. If your doctor advise you shouldn't worry, please dont worry about it.

5 months? I used to think one can take EITHER mat leave or annual leave in a year and not both.

It depends on your company's policy. where I work,for singleton birth, you are entitled to 3 months maternity leave and then 25 working days leave the same year and then have option of even adding extra one month optional (without pay). But you cannot take maternity leave again the next year..it has to be in subsequent years.

Even male is entitled to 15 working days paternity leave to assist their wife.

The energy wey dey worry me now no get part 2 whenever i remember i will be away from work for almost 5 months.

I have a cousin who had twins and equally did a cerclage and she was fine. I don't think its anything to worry about. She was only advised to avoid sex, standing for long and carrying heavy items.

The babies stayed till full term. She said its a simple procedure. Pls follow ur doctor's advice

Is 18 weeks not too late...Cerclage is usually done between 12-14 weeks. There are risks but they rarely occur like premature contraction, membrane rupture, cervical infection, cervical laceration and cervical dystocia. For twins, it is always recommended due to the pressure of having double weight on your pelvic can cause incompetence cervix. But my fear is the 18 week - I am thinking is late though but you can try and seek another advice of a good gynecologist before embarking on that.

My first Gynecologist recommended that for me at 12 week because of my previous evacuations though MC has always been first trimester loss ...I researched comprehensively on that and went and seek second opinion from the Gyneo higher Boss and he told me is not needed since i can minimize stress. I am 25 weeks now and they keep checking and my cervix has always been closed.

Seek another opinion and if it is already late, just follow your gyno advice and minimize stress, dont carry heavy loads, take enough rest and you will be fine. You can confide in your line manager that you are pregnant and doctor advised you minimized stress so they can support you. My elder sister birthed twins and carried it full term with no cerclage. My colleague in my workplace is currently 34 weeks with Triplet. DOnt worry if it is late, you can do it

I guess she is just being concerned. I had the same experience in my place of work too, colleagues and even gate man kept giving me the pity look and saying I should go on leave. Well I finally applied for annual leave/maternity leave and it was approved since 28th of August. It's gonna be a long 4 months for me It's well teamie, Oct is just 12 days away.

Even if my belle long dey touch steering when i dey drive, i no go apply for leave unless i am ready to start. I am even managing my 25 working days leave so i can carry am join my 3 months maternity leave so I can have full fledged 4 month and 1 week to nurse my LO...Make no body come put sand sand for my garri

Team october,hope we're all coping o. For me i can't cope again,i'm beginning to feel depressed somehow. The kain shame wey catch me today no be small,i went for lunch break and the woman that owns the shop made me ashamed of myself. I cannot speak for fixed deposits....what my hubby and i have always used is Savings and Domiciliary account statement. i dont know about fixed deposit certificate.

It doesnt matter...any account can suffice ( whether current, domiciliary or Savings)...Just ensure he has enough balance to cater for the birth expenses and also have enough to continue running the family after birth.... Also ensure there is steady inflow and outflow into the account....also he should avoid lump sum money lodging. All they want to confirm is that he can pay for the childbirth and still has enough in the account

6 months bank statement, usually current account. Obviously if there are savings, investment accounts in addition, these should be included.

Why current account?? i have been going for Visa interviews and i have never presented current account and i have never been rejected once.

I think any bank account statement will suffice - whether current or savings

On the 10th of September, which was 5 days to my EDD,i had Braxton Hicks for some few minutes and I just discarded it cos I thought it was the usual fake ones I do have but when it got to around past 2 a.m,it was getting so serious and I knew that this is the original thing and not fake. I was peeing almost every ten minutes, the contractions kept on getting stronger and stronger but I kept on bearing it.
I opened the supernatural delivery copy I had on my phone and declared the Delivery Confession which I held on to with faith.
Fast forward to 6.30a.m,I told my DH, let's start getting set for the hospital and let's inform your doctor friend which he did but the man was not picking up,when he finally picked up around past 7,he said we should come straight down to the hospital, which we did and got there around past 8.He did the normal V. E and I was 6cm in which my water broke right on that table. I changed and was moved to the Antenatal ward, come and see chorus labour songs. I was breathing in and out when the contraction hits bit when it gets so serious, I shake my legs seriously and call Jesus.Around past 12,my DH doctor friend came to check again and instructed the nurses to move me with immediate speed if dey don't want me to give birth in that ward.
I was wheeled to the Labour ward and before I could lay my back on the delivery bed, I pushed my Cute Princess out.The midwives were so surprised and kept on checking for tears but the only one who deserves my Hallelujah proved himself otherwise. She was placed on my chest and I prayed for her while she was busy screaming her lungs out.
I return all Glory to God cos one useless false prophet who was so high on cheap weed said his village people delivery will be tough but my own JEHOVAH TSIKHENU said when he talks, any other person that says anything after him is a talkative!

Have we started feeling the braxton hicks yet? I think I have, but not very regularly yet. But the kicks and tumblings are so much a times I feel lo wants to jump out!

And Chai! I discovered stretch marks on my tummy!! I used to be happy, thinking there was no stretch marks o, until one day... And dh had been seeing it all the while o, yet he never told me I accused him and he said he thought it was a normal phase. Biko, what can I use to remove them oo Abi they will go on their own after delivery? I rubbed Shea butter on it, but I don't know if it's effective. Chai! Motherhood is bae. Dh said I should leave it, so that it will not disturb his child

you can ask you doctor...I was given last week when i turned 20 weeks ...tetanus and malaria drug. Though i am ok until i took the malaria drug..I have been sick since then - Fever and chil daily now but will complain when i go see my doctor at 22 weeks
