CrimeFake Doctor Nabbed After Working For Over One Year In Govt Hospital by chillbabe(op): 7:09am On Feb 03, 2012
Fake doctor nabbed after working for over one year in govt hospital

February 3, 2012 by Mudiaga Affe, Calabar

The Cross River State Police Command has arrested a fake medical doctor, who worked with the name, Dr. Collins Okafor, at the General Hospital in Calabar, the state capital.

The suspect, whose real name is Mr. Simeon Kejohu (34), was said to have used the certificate of a medical practitioner to secure employment with the Cross River State Ministry of Health and worked in the hospital for one and half years before his true identity was discovered.

A source at the hospital, who is a senior health personnel, said the suspect’s identity became suspicious when all the medical doctors in the hospital were compulsorily made to register online as directed by the Medical Advisory Council.

She said, “Medical doctors were recently requested to register online and as one of the doctors in the hospital, Dr. Collins Okafor, had no choice but to register. When he did, they found out that the certificate he presented was conflicting with that of another medical doctor from Abia State.

“On further interrogation, it was discovered that he (the suspect) is a health technologist, who impersonated a medical doctor. That was how the police were invited to take over the case.”

Corroborating the position of the source, the Officer-in-Charge of the Cross River State Intelligence Bureau, Mr. Habu Sani, said, “We got the information that there was a fake medical doctor in the hospital and commenced investigation immediately. When we went to his office, there were no incriminating documents but by the time we searched his house, we discovered some documents which clearly explained how he was able to carry out the assignment through forgery.

“We found in his house the document of one Dr. Collins Okafor, we now made contacts with the Medical Advisory Council in Abuja and they told us that two people had registered bearing the same name and therefore advised us to hold the person we had picked.”

Sani, a Chief Superintendent of Police, said prior to working at the General Hospital in Calabar, Kejohu confessed that he had worked in a private hospital in Abuja where he established a contact with a doctor who assisted him in securing employment with the Cross River State Ministry of Health as an indigene of the state.

He added that a team from the Medical Advisory Council in Abuja had come to Calabar to give useful statement, adding that enough proof had been established against the suspect.

The suspect is from Obudu in Obanliku Local Government Area of the state.

Sani further explained, “The other aspect we are still trying to verify is whether the real Dr. Collins Okafor is still alive or dead. We are also going to investigate how government was able to employ someone without the knowledge of how to manage people’s lives.

“He worked as a medical doctor from October 1, 2010 to January 2012. We have called the team leader of the Residency Committee that interviewed him; we are still compiling their records to see who recommended him for employment.

“This issue is serious because it is something that affects human lives. We will go through the investigation and point out where all the lapses are to the government because we do not know how many of such people will be in government employ.”

Speaking with Metro, Kejohu, who was looking sober, said his friend (Dr. Collins Okafor) gave him the certificate in the presence of his parents (Collins’) before he died four years ago.

He said, “Before Dr. Collins Okafor died, he called me by his sick bed as his best friend and said he would give me his certificate, which he did in the presence of his family. I studied at the School of Health Technology in Benue State. I have worked for over one year at the General Hospital in Calabar but never handled any surgery.”

The source said before Kejohu was nabbed, some medical personnel in the hospital had doubted his credibility because of his inability to carry out some critical functions expected of a doctor.

The source added that the fake doctor had on a number of times given wrong prescriptions to patients, adding that his prescriptions had been faulted by other medical doctors and nurses at different times.

“The worst is that he had always evaded anything that has to do with surgery over the time. Recently, a woman with ectopic pregnancy lost her life because the suspect was not competent to handle her situation and he also did not inform his other colleagues until the woman died,” she said.

As for me I don't have much to say. Like posted on my facebook, if it gets bloody tomorrow, I WILL KILL AS MANY POLITICIANS AS I CAN, EVEN THIER CHILDREN WILL NOT BE SPARED!

I dey here dey roast and one mumu bastard put up a website not long ago for 3+ milla. Take a look at the site I designed in December but sold it to an American online. www.seoarticlepress.com

I don't blame good luck but those that voted and campaigned for him. I can boldly say it here that despite all this charade and misconduct, silly Nigerians still have not learnt one lessons and they will want to vote for this man come 2015.
It is very easy to see that Goodluck is not smart and intelligent before now and that's why I didn't vote for him. We have Pat Utomi there, Ribadu was there but Nigerian chose the "MESSIAH" outright stupidity.

Forget this so called leaders, Are we not the cause? Who will spend millions to gain your vote and you expect him note make profit when in power.

Nigerians are selling their future yet they complain.

Olisa74:
Hello, getting started with a mac, the first thing you have to do is go to system preferences to change certain settings to suite your needs. The default settings can be quite frustrating. Click on System Preferences, then on the second row click trackpad. You can then enable a tap with two fingers for right clicking, and a host of other gestures. There are videos to the right of each gesture explaining what they do. I suggest you tick all of them and get yourself acquainted with them. After a while, they become second nature. Any gesture you feel uncomfortable with, simply untick the box.
To copy and paste is similar to windows, you use the command key (cmd) instead of Control (Ctrl) on windows. If you enabled gestures, you can simply tap on the highlighted item with two fingers, a list of options appear, tap copy, then tap with two fingers again where you want it pasted to, then tap paste ( much easier if u ask me).
When installing programs on a Mac, after downloading it, double click on it to mount it. Once mounted, double click on it, and drag the program to your applications folder( it is important you do this or else the program would not install). The program should then install on your mac.
Most importantly, keep playing around with your Mac to get the hang of things. Most settings are in system preferences so have a bit of a wonder around there to understand what settings do what.

PoliticsRe: Why Are There No Subsidy Protests In The SE/SS Oil Producing States? by chillbabe(f): 9:17pm On Jan 03, 2012
@Beaf am totally for the subsidy removel cause it didn't take Nigeria any where it didn't bring any development. But your president should have made the refinery's here up and running before the removal and then increase the fuel with 25naira only. U are to tribalistic in your post. The oil doesn't belong only to the ss or se it belongs to Nigeria. How do u want someone that earns a salary of 1800naira to coupe u tell me.

We are d govt, we are d labour. be patriotic, send to all frends, post on BB, FB, Twitter. If we fight we will win. VIVA 9ja
PREPARE FOR REVOLUTION. CAN SOMEONE TELL NIGERIANS WHO THESE CABALS ARE! NIGERIANS WILL NEVER BUY FUEL FOR #140. IF WE DO, WE BECOME THE MOST STUPID IN AFRICA.

The cost of fuel per litre in OPEC Member States (in Nigerian currency):
*Saudi Arabia - N18 per litre
*Kuwait - N32 per litre
*United Arab Emirates (UAE) - N57 Per litre
*Venezuela - N7 Per litre
*Qatar - N34 per litre
*Iran - N17 per litre
*Algeria - N31 per litre

Why is our own differenthuh
Our price is d most expensive &we still want to increase it
-Roads are bad & Air transport still not a solution
-Rail lines are dead
-Jobs are non existent
-Education is not for the poor
-Hospitals are not well equipped
-Accommodation is expensive
-Pure water is the solution to good drinking water
-Legislators salaries is astronomical-for doing nothing
-Security is non-existent
-Minimum wage is unsustainable
-Electricity is virtually @ zero output
-& we have not been able to fix not even one of our refineries to full production capacity & Jonathan (Corrupt Bad Guy) & his co-thieves wanna make our lives more miserable when their kids and families enjoy the best of anything life has to offer when an average Nigerian feeds on less than $0.5 (Half Dollar) a day. The ground is ripe for a revolution; if we have to revolt, let's start now,

Please broadcast this.
Our children must have a better Nigeria, even if we can't. Nigeria is set for total cleansing. God will do it! We will do it! Nigeria is Ripe for REVOLUTION!!!! Now is d time to replicate what happened in d Arab World in Nigeria!!! The Social media is our weapon, Let's use it . Post  Facebook, Tweeter, broadcast it
I totally support this.

I didn't attack anybody in my post I only corrected a statement a poster made. And it seems I was right after all with your above statement.

U know what surprises me why do Africans always go to our schools and want to life in the west if nothing about us is good?

I am just sick and tired of the statement that we from the west don't marry out of love. No one I know in my culture married out of family pressure or out of poverty. We marry because we love that person just like Nigerians we have our culture. We don't accept cheating, beating or any form of abuse. If talking and counseeling doesn't help to change our partner then the best thing to do is get a divorce. That's the last option cause no one wants to divorce be u black or white.

We as western women work hard for our family we put in as much as the men financially. So why put up with his cheating or abusive habit. Marriage is abt mutual respect.

I will leave u with this quote: marriage is not a place where u stand up for ure rights."Marriage is a decision to serve the other.

@Godman are u ok no matter what GEJ is still the president of Nigeria so a little respect is in order. More so it is not your place to comment on how he handles his wife. We don't need a revolution in Nigeria it will only take us years back. The once who will suffer most are women and children. U can make your point without insults.
