There is no difference btw PDP and APC in terms of personality, just the name though. Politics in Nigeria is just a cycle process, it keeps revolving within a cycle of elite group with nothing to offer.

What we need now is a political revolution that will unseat all this historic leader's whose name keeps on repeating in political history.

The bright, multicoloured iPhone XR is made from aluminium and glass, and with an iPhone X-style edge-to-edge screen, it’s halfway between the iPhone 8 and iPhone X.

The display is LCD, and Schiller calls it the “most advanced LCD ever in a smartphone”. It’s branded as the “Liquid Retina” display (the iPhone XS is a “super retina”, if you’re keeping track), and measures 6.1 inches edge to edge.

The fourth generation of Apple Watch will have a face that's 30% larger and a speaker that's 50% louder, Apple said Wednesday, at a press event here. 

In what was touted as a breakthrough by Apple execs here, the new watch can now do ECG heart tests, which was endorsed on stage by the American Heart Association and Apple said received FDA clearance. 

"It's redefining what a watch can do for you. We have re-imagined the Watch," said Apple CEO Tim Cook. 

The Series 4 edition of the Watch starts at $399, or $499 with cellular service as an add-on and will be available September 21. The price of the Series 3 watch, currently selling for $329, has been lowered to $279. effective today.

At least eight out of the politicians working for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 2019 election have pending corruption cases worth N232bn, checks by Saturday PUNCH have revealed. An investigation showed that the amount involved in the various graft cases, which are currently pending before security agencies, especially the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, range from N223m to N100bn for each of the politicians.

Some of the eight politicians, who used to be members of the Peoples Democratic Party and other opposition parties, had allegedly defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress to stop the dangling axe of the EFCC and other security agencies from falling on them. Specifically, the politicians who are currently either under probe or prosecution for allegedly diverting government funds have separately vowed to ensure Buhari remains in power until 2023.

The eight politicians include the senator representing Nasarawa West at the National Assembly, Abdullahi Adamu; the senator representing Sokoto North and former Governor of Sokoto State, Aliyu Wamakko; ex-Senate Minority Leader and former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio, who recently defected from the PDP to the APC; and a former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu.

The slow crawl towards flexible displays that can fold or wrap have become a holy grail for tech futurists, but this new concept device has its inspiration rooted very much in history. Researchers have created a prototype touchscreen tablet that rolls-ups up into a cylinder and can be unfurled like an ancient parchment.

Dubbed the MagicScroll, the prototype device from Queens University’s Human Media department features a 7.5-inch touchscreen that sits neatly inside a housing. Users can rotate the display using a physical rotary wheel on either end of the device, while there’s also a pop-out button to reveal the 2K resolution screen in all its glory.

The partially 3D-printed device can also be used to make phone calls, even when the display is housed within the casing. There’s also a camera, while the motion sensors enable the MagicScroll to use gestures akin to Nintendo’s Wiimote.

A former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, and other business experts are billed to train over 1,000 youths in Anambra State on employable skills.

The training which would be a weeklong event with the theme, ‘Let Youth Ace’, is aimed at drilling the youths in various aspects of skills, and is being organised for youths of Christ Holy Church International.

Disclosing this, on Thursday, during the opening session of the 2018 Nation Builders’ Youth Academy at Nteje, in Oyi Local Government Area of the state, leader of the youths, Dr. Smart Aguba, said former Governor Obi, chosen because of his versatility in business and politics, is expected to take the youths on employable skills and entrepreneurship.

According to Aguba, “The aim of this practical training is to provide the participants the requisite skills that will enable them thrive in all situations of life.

“We have identified that as a result of the competitive culture of the world today, more youths are confused and do not know what life they are on earth for.

“We have set a vision to raise a generation of youths who are positively empowered with godly character, positive character and unwavering zeal to make the world a better place and sustain it.

“We believe that to help to attain this vision, planning and executing youth training project will enable our youths to set goals in life for themselves and stay to achieving the goal and help other young people found around them do the same.”

Speaking while declaring the academy open the General Superintendent (GS) of the church, Most Rev. Daniel Okoh, said the training was part of the corporate social responsibility of the church to empower its youths to serve God.

He said, “We shall continue to celebrate you until you become what God wants you to be.”

Noting that the youth academy was a capacity building programme, Okoh assured the youths of continued support of the church, adding that the church would soon commission its vocational academy for skill acquisitions.
