femi4:You better present it to him this way. That's how he mostly engages discuss. "Was it written in the Bible that Blood shouldn't be used for treatment of ailment?" YES OR NO? Choose One |
"After much prayer and study of the scripture, the Governor Body has come to conclusion...". So this statement was actually made? ![]() we're all students of the Bible lass lass.. let nobody claim to have figured out everything. |
achorladey:lol.. you know him as well. It probably makes him feel cool and "validate" his beliefs when he boxes people with his pre-determined premises. Unfortunately that's not how the Bible is. It's not entirely fixated and rigid into a Yes/No in all things. |
janga:Exactly.. Even at that smiling to the bank, What's the essence of making money off forex speculation and one can't use the amassed forex-wealth to easily assess and buy fuel dto pump ordinary water to his household? ![]() And where he's finally able to assess via black-market, the exhorbitant price of fuel over time is equivalent to the money he just made from the speculation differentials if not more.. It's a case of Penny wise, pounds foolish long term if one is based in the country. |
Bizibi:Without DR, for one, Probably Water scarcity! Half of the country if not more especially urban areas rely on petrol generator to pump water to cook, bath, drink and clean. Even common "sachet water" manufactures might close down. Na "bloodbath" for water in some areas. The high cost of petrol we have now would have been a child's play.. This is getting to over one month of international scarcity. |
oroje1:Of course non-blood procedures will definitely be ideal. We hope research advances and spreads to become more affordable and especially accessible and widespread. |
Bizibi:Strait of ![]() It's quite strategic that Africa and Nigeria lies towards the center of the planets and also close to the equator. Making it closer and a viable options for trades not just from both extreme Western and eastern located countries, But also from extreme Northern and Southern located countries as well. We just need high capacity functional ports in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. |
MaxInDHouse:"There is nothing like Yes/No"-MaxInDHouse March 20, 2026 🙂 MaxInDHouse: |
The blood is composed of: Red blood cells Whiteblood cells Plasma Water Protein Platelets Etc... Another issue to consider is this Has there been any drugs, tablets or Cyrup that's usually consumed that uses components of blood from either animals or humans to Manufacture them? If no, then The JW might have a point. If yes, then we're all complicit knowingly or unknowingly. The closest I and most of us know of is venom from Snakes, to create Antivenum medications. But Venom isn't blood. |
oroje1:Even "craze" men can have healthier liver, kidney, that are more suitable than intelligent/smart/phychological balanced folks. You choice of acceptance isn't my point and concern. Just wanted to clarify the GENERAL assumptions you might have inferred in your write-up that "ALL mentally ill peeps can't have compatible and healthy blood to donate". Screening donors doesn't work like that. #JustToClarify |
MaxInDHouse:Face the person boxing you into Yes/No. get a taste of it🙂 |
oroje1:The state of a person's mental health doesn't decide the acceptability of his blood as a donor. Some stable and mentally fit persons can fail a blood donation screening. #JustToClarify |
Janosky:Interesting.. Bloodless medicine.. Will check it out.. I hope it succeeds. |
Same thing happened with keeping beared of a thing.. They backtracked. Well, the only thing constant in life is change. #peaceout ✌ |
MaxInDHouse:lol..taste of your pudding at times. so you can actually run away when boxed?🙂 |
ppogba:Even God "rested" on the 7th Day. Buh you can choose to "work" if you like. Others interested can join you. |
Sunrisepebble:I second.. It went as low as #178 sef. Then the whole increase in data and call charges was almost inevitable to be approved.. Revenue was rising despite all. Etisalat network people even began porting. IT WAS HIGHLY VISIBLE TO THE BLIND |
Kemetian:Ask it What year will Planet Venus and Mars be human habitable. Some of us wan just japa ASAP ![]() |
AMINDA:How does this lay blame to CBN? CBN Is in charge of monetary policy while Finance and Budget is in charge of fiscal policy. |
MonkeyHunter:OK.. Thanks for the correction. |
KarlTom:Lol.. I agree a bit with you. But when it comes to where their life or loved ones is at stake, dey take it serious. AIDS no dey show for face, but without the ARV, it may begin to show for their faces.. Power sector? Solar is alternative, most can afford Generator, diesel price, "who cares about Power sector". "Citizens fit manage candle and lantern or non-at all. ain't life threatening" Oil and Gas? They make more from the status quo, so why invest. Is that not why they ve been fighting DR? Infact, they probably previously use subsidised imports to power their generatots and diesel against the rest of the population. Trump via USAID has taken away life support. They and their relatives may not be able to sustain by buying the drugs abroad for life. for how many relatives and friends on a daily basis? I believe they ve got no choice. There's is a reason no matter how bad our health sector is generally, I think the National Hospital Abuja is always being funded or given some form of exclusive priority to operate at a high level. It's the home base of the federal Politicians. It's embarrassing if there's an emergency at Aso-rock and no doctors, equipments, power, drugs, etc on stand by. They don't question expense of common survival goods in Nigeria but when December began approaching, all of a sudden they began inviting and summoning Airpeace CEO on why his Air transport is expensive.. ![]() Anywhere eee pinch dem, they will push to its implementation and sustainability.. |
MeezPat:For them to take over a project that a foreign donor stopped without wasting time; Rather than let it fade away and Nigerians sort it for themselves; Rather than import, they want to even own it within via manufacturing.. shows how serious they want it's internal security and self sufficiency. LIFE is involved where some of the politicians or their relations are HIV carriers. So I think they definitely will see to its completion and fuctionality. |
crownprince2017:They recently won an FG contract worth billions of dollars to build plant to produce RTV drugs for HIV patients. Since US aids stopped. https://www.healthcaremea.com/2026/03/05/fidson-healthcare-wins-usd6-2-billion-deal-to-boost-local-arv-production/ |
ositadima1:Check again. Seems you missed out on who initially used the "insult". Just leave them both. |
SonofElElyonRet:True..same word. I see it as extract from: Hope for the best Cope after the worst |
As Nigerians we know where we're coming from.. Prior to DR, some of those imports don't make it to the populace. They are either still Smuggled out outside the country to Niger and Benin Republic for Arbitridge or hoarded for scarcity and further inflation of retail price. |
Itzlinda:👍abeg make ee reduce Oo. For "Monopoly crew" Assuming crude price had reduced and yet Gantry price and retail prices do not reduce, This would have been a good case and probably become an abuse as you envisage and fear. The regular will trigger the activation of that Importation Policy... So seems there's a check against DR in place by the regulators and PIA act while other Major competitors are on their way to existence. ......should have posted the policy instead rather than the article. It should allay and calm your fears on Monopoly. |
Sunrisepebble:I think it had to do with the current transportation increase due to the ongoing War and logistics involved to building sites and remote areas. #justMyOpinion |
"A new policy has been introduced that bars the issuance of import licenses “where local production is sufficient,” and they will now only be granted when needed — which is not currently the case, George Ene-Ita, the regulator’s spokesman, said by phone on Tuesday." Thanks @KARLTOM for digging out the "omitted" rejoiner. Key statement: "and they will now only be granted when needed — which is not currently the case". I think only when one can prove why importation is needed currently and yet licence hasn't been issued. Then you can have a case against "Monopoly". And the chief regulator and supposed custodian of the policy says it's not currently the case..so why the ish? |
Mpeace:That's the ish.. They aren't aware the MAJOR factor that strengthed our naira is ALMOST 0% REDUCTION OF PETROL IMPORTS. Dem want our naira plummets back to 1,600-2000 just to punish Dangote and stop Monopoly. Why can't others just build refineries. Solves the twin issue of forex and Monopoly.. Is this too hard to grasp? ![]() |
BabsO2:Seems The Saudi's dared to pass through the Lions Den!! Unscathed! https://leadership.ng/saudi-arabia-slash-oil-production-over-strait-of-hormuz-transportation-challenge/
