Ok thanks. I'll check out the page.........but the speculations done that time was for each company and not a merger if I get it right.
Both I think. Speculation for each company and
also speculated share allocation ratio for the merger of the 3 entities to DangoteFoods.

What assertion (I think) is wrong? What you posted there makes absolutely no sense, I wanted to let this matter rest but it seems that you are bent on being schooled.

Most importantly, every investor is the master of their portfolio, meaning it is up to them to decide when to buy or sell their stocks. Irrespective of what ever reason you cook up in your head.

We can give reasonable suggestions, but a line is crossed when you start judging actions, especially after the fact.

Dangsugar could have gone even lower, yes it is one of the possible scenarios that did not play out, the fact that it reversed is not enough reason to start taunting others who sold. It is up to the investor to protect their interests as best as they can based on what they perceive whether wrong or right. Plus the stock is not in the clear yet, the 40.8 billion Naira loss due to currency devaluation is real and not imaginary. Not only that, it will have to jack up prices, because from now on it will source foreign currency at prevailing rates. There is no way it will not affect the bottom line goin forward.

I hope you learnt something from my write up. cheesy
Actually, that's why I am here.. cool cool

Why are you concerned about people who sold at 24.4/25, and how do you know they are regretting? Did u sell at that price? Are you regretting? The people or person that sold it to me at 17, what should that person do now? I think there is no need for that, it's there money and their choice.
If you don't belong to those who bought cuz of merger(first buy I think) and sold at @24/25...cuz of their Result and a certain week meltdown, resulting in Panic.

These are the set of people she is referring to(I think)
Reason for buying and Reason for selling
@bolded above -Clearly defined in her stmt!!

These are the set of people who may likely regret it now..

There are of course other personal reasons for selling..

If u don't belong to the bolded, especially buy period and reason for buying,

Read and Pass....

This ministerial list pala.va, what has it got to do with performance if I may ask?
Na just kwesion o...because I don't know.

If Minister of Power is a Technocrat with doings and CV accepted by Mr. Market, Then power companies may head North..

If Ministry of mines is someone seen as passionate about minerals and raw materials aside Oil and gas and accepted by Mr. Market .
Japaul and the Likes may head North

If Finance Minister or CBN substantive head widely accepted by Mr. Market with impressive resume and probably aligned to a particular bank..
Then banking and/or other financial sectors as well as minister/CBN indirect alignment with a bank may shoot sector Northward..(e.g Emefiele n Zenith)

Otherwise heading south.
The Ministers interface with the CEOs of these companies for contract award amongst others.. Their Alliance and Competence can be key and sway things...

Get the drift?

The first one she bought N5.5m was through FBN Quest, primary market and it appeared on her CSCS

The second one she bought N8.9m was through Molten Trust Ltd, primary market and also appeared on her CSCS
what I think PA Emma is trying to say is:
They are investment houses and brokers , hence can appear in CSCS..

But if bought through The banks(Stanbic bank, etc) , they won't automatically appear on your
CSCS portfolio, unless you authorize the bank through writing...

Also,
Most Banks also have the advantage of being more liquid than investment houses(e.g Fnnquest, etc) when one chooses to sell his/her bonds before maturity as the banks tend to easily find a willing buyer who is ready to accept your discount rate than the Investment houses you mentioned amongst others too.

But you need to know that the income is fixed, unlike dividends and rents that can be increased

I get your point but this company is valued at 200 billion+, they can do better. This acquisition didnโ€™t happen 3 months ago, I believe this happened like a year ago, and they are still having issues with consolidating accounts? Looks very unprofessional abeg, now that they have been suspend, did they put out a press release to address this? I donโ€™t think so.

200 billion Naira company acting like some under bridge operation.

Correct. Acquisition happened last year.

They actually put out a press release in May..

Though I hold some Presco, this suspension was necessary!! How can they possibly justify their non reporting by now? Hopefully there is no mago mago going on

They bought over a rival local subsidiary SIAT Nigeria Limited (SNL) with over 15000hectares
of oil palm also in Rivers state(Elele and one other)..

The issue is in delay of reconciliation and consolidation of the finances of this subsidiary into a single financial statement as PRESCO

This is the screenshot of the statement you claim I fabricated.
Please let's just forget the issue, I know you will not agree just for argument's sake, but the current 20hrs of electricity some of us are enjoying now can't be attributed to the rainy season .

Bro, it is a fabrication or invention.
You know FULLY WELL that this argument started with vastolord4 post and not your article..
No where did he compare raining season to dry season.
u can't force me to deviate from the subject matter:
Does increase in rainfall(precipitation) boost power production? grin

Abi u see dry season Vs Raining season for
the above post?

You just dey dodge the red marker since because it hits the nail on the head and puts the argument to bed..grin grin rush go fabricate blue comparison marker.

Comparison between seasons was never there.. u no fit force me go there..
U don leave your temperature matter grin grin
U don invent dry season and comparison wey no dey for argument.
u just dey pick crumbs from any where rather than defending the red portion grin

Next time read through your articles before shooting yourself in the leg. grin

According to your article( marked red portion, which you are stylishly dodging),
The current improve in hourly or daily consumption rate of electricity can be attributed to increased rainfall!! ...QED

Prove ur article WRONG Mr.!
Otherwise retract it!!

Hence,
YOU STILL HAVE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOUR INITIAL ARTICLE OPPOSED YOUR VERY OWN ARGUMENT AND SUPPORTED vastolord4 AND THAT vastolord4 IS RIGHT! gringringringrin

MorataFC:
Both of you were wrong, that's why many of you failed simple questions.
Where you airmarked, did you see where it is written that Nigeria generated more power in dry season than the rainy season?
Even where you highlighted does not give credit to rain for power improvement but for the understandable temperature, which turns out to every electric gadget will be working perfectly under cool temperatures be it raining or harmattan season.

Your First Sentence
Please Sir, if u want to attack, use the right grammar at least. It is "fail" not "failed" .

Your Second Sentence(A Question)
I think you meant "earmarked" not "airmarked" (not sure though).
Endeavour to learn these corrections from someone who has failed simple questions. gringrin

Secondly, There was never a comparison between power generation in Dry season Vs Raining season? undecided. I never wrote anything of such and neither did vastolord4 .
It seems you just invented another line of argument yet again out of the blue probably mistakenly or purposely just to buttress your point grin grin.
For the second time, I will bring you back to the original argument.
The bone of contention is:
Does increase in rainfall(precipitation) boost power production? .

Your Third Sentence
It's either u innocently do not fully understand the interpretation of the marked portion (red paint), which is understandable or you refuse to accept you are wrong, even when you know the truth.
For the benefit of doubt I will post that section of the article here.

"The research indicated that rainfall with 0.83 correlation coefficients have strong relationships with the amount of power generated, while temperature and evaporation with 0.21 and 0.33 do not have significant relationship with the amount of power generated"

Extract from the above quote:

"rainfall with 0.83 correlation coefficients have strong relationships with the amount of power generated"

The article didn't say temperature, it said rainfall.

YOU STILL HAVE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOUR INITIAL ARTICLE OPPOSED YOUR VERY OWN ARGUMENT AND SUPPORTED vastolord4 AND THAT vastolord4 IS RIGHT!

Vastolord4 was wrong

We have the capacity to generate 13,000 MegaWatts in Nigeria and out of these 13,000, Hydropower plants can only generate 1,600 MegaWatts or less.
The question is, if rain determines the increase in power supply, what impact will less than 1,600MW have to do with 13,000?

https://pmnewsnigeria.com/2020/02/25/electricty-power-plants-in-nigeria-location-capacity/

Naaa.. point out where he was wrong in his post undecided
The question is, does increase in rainfall(precipitation) boost power production?
The answer is yes from your VERY OWN initial ARTICLE.. grin

is it enough? That is a different argument.

Besides you can also interprete from vastolord4 post that the added boost from rainfall isn't enough. He said and I quote
"until more dams are built across each States, that's when we'll have good electricity all year round" .
So there is no further argument here.
So no need for diverting grin by bringing up another link..

BUT YOU HAVE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOUR INITIAL ARTICLE OPPOSED YOUR VERY OWN ARGUMENT AND SUPPORTED vastolord4 . grin.. AND THAT vastolord4 IS RIGHT!

Raining season has nothing to do with the increase of Megawatts, rain cannot increase the speed of the turbines to give more or added MW.

The research actually suggests that increases in rainfall correlates with increase in Power production.. wink
