Please for the purpose of my enlightenment, what was the requirement they flouted?

Is the 20% free float applicable to the growth board as well?
10%-15% and above ₦50million depending on their size for Growth board.

I think Zichis with over 500m market Cap as at listing date shoud be 15%.

I tired oo. If they did complied with the regulators from the start why force them to empty their basket at once!!
They didn't comply with all regulations from the start.

I posted their official listing ceremony video with NGX yesterday.

Gave timestamp you can narrow down to watch.

NGX were lenient and gave 3days after listing to comply.

The bulk of the pressure was to their brokerage house rather than Zichis since they were more experienced.

Guess they took it lightly.

Why the fixation on Zich?
Is it because many here could not get it to buy on the floor.
This is a company that is making profit and has a positive equity and yet many are quick to point an accusing finger.
Check out other companies being promoted by this same set of people (company with no profit and negative equity for years) who are criticizing Zich and you begin to see a pattern of double standards.
Why would someone justify the current price of ellah or NCR or FTNCOCOA or even tantalizer and be critical of Zich price?
All of them wear the same trouser. grin
Buh Zichis wey be new student wan dey tear eye pass their Papas grin

Zichis just got listed.
so all eyes on it.

If it were on NGX a long time, it won't raise eye brows like that.

Japaul is bound to rise based on the milling news. That happens to every stock. It's just a question of how far it will get?

Very little has changed my guy.

There are still some shares that are adding weight without next to nothing to justify it.

Until anyone can convince me what fundamentals are driving:

DAAR
ABC TRANSPORT
RT BRISCOE
FTN COCOA

then, I will believe that the days of the great OLOLO are actually gone on the NGX
ABC na it's Cargo/Logistics section..be like that section dey mint cash pass the transport section. grin

FTN cocoa no be stock. Na derivative grin
It's price is a reflection of the International price of cocoa and it's byproduct rather than the company-FTNCOcoa PLC. grin

Learnt RT BRISCOE has a rumour to partner a Chinese Manufacturer to ship in cars. Probably the driving rumour. grin

Daar communication is reacting to new management, debt repayments and Staff obligations and welfare restoration for motivation and improved service delivery. grin

Also, all are rallying cuz ASI has been doing between 0.8% to 2% almost consistently for the past 1month.

Na passive defence I dey Ooo.

Base valuation in any market is an earnings multiple X, X being the risk free rate.

risk free rate in Nigeria is about 20%, fair valuation is 5x.

In New York, rates are around 5%, 20x valuation is fair there.
Thanks for your contribution though, but to understand you clearer,
Do you mean:
in Nigeria, company valuations are averagely 5 times risk free rate(5 x 20)
and
In New York, company Valuations are averagely 20times Risk Free-Rate (20 x 5)
?

Roughly same face value?
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by chimex38:

Stock is speculative in nature, even the so called fundamentals are still speculative. If you are in doubt, just one bad news about Nigeria could send Gtco to N10 without minding the fundamentals. It is not their fault that they wanted to cash out big time since bids kept on coming even at a very high price. Value is partially subjective, I can't buy Okomuoil and Presco at their price, but some will buy. Why is Presco trading above N2,000? I know you would answer the sector and their fundamentals, but I tell you, there is no system that says when you have these fundamentals, your stock price should be above N2,000 if not speculation.
Went back to read the narrative, i thought you were referring to Ellah.
if you were referring to Zichis,
I agree then with your initial post, you are correct. Some would have bought Zichis if the price was still low and open to retail. So yes, The bashing is as a result of astronomical high price, quite far from any near term forecasted growth.

As for PRESCO and speculation,
If PRESCO was listed outside Ngx onto the international scene, it will probably be above dollar equivalent of ₦2000+ with the World "speculating" on it.

I like your faith, but I prefer the numbers:

Even if they scaled down their ambitions and bought only the ARPN oil palm plantation, they'll need N155bn. They currently have about N2bn cash (less cash burn from operations) and N30bn assets.

How do you imagine they'll raise N150bn in 5 weeks?
I am with you as well.I don't know the magic he wants to perform.

But when a debtor who owes a huge amount of money that needs to be repaid monthly for 2yrs..
The debtor never paid you a dime nor disproportionately until the expiration of 2yrs when you are supposed to receive your capital back..

You now decided to activate the default clause in the contract to cease his assets as collateral or freeze his accounts, whatever it may be..

Only for him to come back neither requesting for restructuring of the loan for like 1yr or plead for other terms of agreement.

But promised to pay you all your interest and debt in a month's time.(like Mr. Chuka promised to still buy ARPN).

Would you give the debtor a benefit of doubt?
I will.

My point is, He has fallen, and yet decided to shoot himself in the leg with another timeline yet again to pressure himself.

lets give him the chance to either redeem himself a bit or he can simply keep shooting himself in various places and keep falling deeper.
It was his choice anyway.
Timeframe is not far-off.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by chimex38:

And who would subscribe at that time? Most investors would wait until after the acquisition before the buy their shares
Well, like I said, the offer failed, yet he was still bullish.
He even gave a timeline.

Let's see how smart or non-smart he is when we reach the timeline.

HesInMe:
Lol. I was criticized when I noted that Ellah is run by a banker, not an farmer. Farmers know that oil palm is not a get-rich-quick deal.

If they can't close the ARPN acquisition, as it looks likely they won't, let's review again in 4-5 years.
Despite the offer failure, Mr. Chuka still sounded more confident that they will close the APRN deal.
It looks like they will.
It's their lifeline for a quicker rebound.

The problem here is not the manipulation, the problem here is that most of our ogas them didn't see the stock to buy at a low price, hence the sporadic attack on the stock. I think what played out is the law of demand and supply, and the sector the stock is. What could be said of Mecure when it was listed?
Most peeps currently criticizing have been criticizing the stock with their analysis since it was ₦3.. Even when it got to ₦4.5 retracted back got 10 and Skyed to 17. They still used their method to criticize the business.
So your assertion doesn't hold.

Watch below from:
@ 1hr 46mins when the MD of Zichis was trying to defend his free float.

He simply passed it on to Anchoria securities.

@ 1hr 49min.
The NGX staff their said they were given 3days to make it available to minority and meet he free float on the floor..

@1hr 56mins
Mr. Sam the most experienced and longest serving stockbroking member of the NGX(Doyen title or so)
was stern and direct with stricter warnings; absorbing the directors of Zichis but squarely facing Anchoria securities even with a proverb.

He specifically said this listing and free-float of a thing has caused the NGX a bad name they are trying to correct.

Then the price should be fixed , NGX should know the quantity they want to sell to the public.

The stock should be sold to investors on a first come, first serve basis and no investor can buy more than a certain quantity during the period of the listing by introduction.

I definitely know that SEC and NGX will come with stricter rules
Zichis was warned by NGX during their listing ceremony in NGX office about free float and transparency..
Anchoria are to be blamed more

They can even have an Offer for Sale, whereby existing shareholders will sell part of their holdings to the public at a fixed price unlike listing by introduction whereby the price the existing shareholders will sell will be increasing on a daily basis. That gives room for manipulation
Thanks for the insight

It's not as though they have been listed for a long time.

Can't they take a cue from others that listed.
Be smart about it not imposing..
Open the market a bit for retailers...
You can ride it later in the year as you wish.

Anchoria and Co too do...
