Zagee:You get it.. Even at 21% it was greatly undersubscribed. They requested 24%+ |
funkymedina2:The clearer one has been sent to those who can pay ₦250bn. Can you pay ₦250bn? ![]() #joke |
Makanjuola89:Oga, you are correct, except you using the FIRS act of 2020 Abi 2022 which expires officially in December 2025. from the TAX act 2026 For an individual PIT rate up to 25% thereabout will be applied on your withdrawals from 2026 unless 10m profit AND a sales value greater than 150m and above is triggered as someone interpreted above. |
Agbalowomeri:The "#joke" I wrote was for playfully calling him out as your second handle in context of your usual predictions in stock prices drop ; ![]() Not necessarily dismissing the possibility of GTCo price. However, arbtriage effect with LSE may stagger it + other good news in comparison to other banks into the new year just like forbearance effect did push it up. |
Meedon:My point is you didn't declare death on her for leaving. I was positively surprised you wished her guidance back. Even if I wanted to join Islam, the thought of I can't leave without fear of my life from family, friends or fellow Moslems declaring death can be the only reason I won't join in the first place. To me It negates freewill and altruistic nature of worship from the heart. |

Meedon:I like this.. I rarely see it.. ![]() The other extreme is a major limitation. If one leaves(apostacy),its death as punishment.. It's scary. It's even possible for one to leave and come back especially youths and adolescent with their youthful exuberances seeking their path.. Don't you think this defeats the whole essence that religion should guide one unto self spiritually and morality in general? not a sense of coercion but freewill. ![]() |
aj8:Except banks sha.... Stubborn sector ![]() |
Mpeace:Was going to excuse access EPS with their OS In comparison to UBA, but UBA still had higher PAT. |
BabsO2:Also that legal restructuring proves more write-back is expected in the near future despite being fully provisioned like banks forbearance issue. |
BabsO2:Lol.. ![]() Everybody dey suspect MTN.. MTN make una change Oo. Turn a new leaf ![]() |
jonnysessy: ...most people don't trust their result all these while..But vandalism and infrastructure maintainance is real.. Fibre cables in remote locations are being axed from ground like illegal Mineral mining.. |
BabsO2:Yes.. Positive Retained earnings @142million |
MTN interim of 5!! Someone predicted MTN to pay dividend this year.. I say na lie!!! This is fantastic. https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/45363_MTN_NIGERIA_COMMUNICATIONS_PLC-MTN_NIGERIA_INTERIM_DIVIDEND_CORPORATE_ACTIONS_OCTOBER_2025.pdf |
vacanci:(Page 11.) Should be ₦35.6bn currently. But seems they used 23bn(weighted average) About ₦5.5 |
essentialone:I believe you saw rightly but calculations don't seem Revenue increased by over 50%. Net-Interest income doubled with over 120%. Edited. Page 11. They used weighted average OS of 23bn instead of the current 35.6bn. |
pluto09:U see.. Govt from inception of Democracy generally has a poor credit rating on fiscal usage of resources but a small fraction of the populace are willing to give this taxation a try with reluctancy and grumbling as a way of trying sth different but then borrowing into their future? decreases this optimism further. The recurrent expenditures shouldn't just be salaries and overhead, it should also substantially include utilities that serve the masses directly as well as spontaneously!! Water treatment, swift replacement of electricity poles and wire collapse by weather or miscreants. Assist community blown out transformers swiftly (Govt has 40% stake in all Discos and Gencos) Japan and Co takes few days to months to repair roads damaged by earthquakes! Why I no go pay tax if I dey there? |
pluto09:Can you also guarantee they will prioritise these good things without first using proceeds to offset borrowing? Thats if the entire tax is even enough ![]() |
Gotocourt:In no particular order Custodian NEM Aiico Axa Mansard They have the reach, brand name, consistent dividend payout. Good management overall, yearly payment of 90-95% consistentcy with little to no default over time.. You can research more on them and compare with others.. |
pluto09:I don't mind paying 30%-40% tax if the amenities of water, light good road health insurance, Mass Bus transportation, etc can be guaranteed throughout the 774 LGA of Nigeria and beyond at least. Ideally and academically The tax should be cheaper in the long run than paying and maintaining these yourself. If not in my time, in the future generations. But if debts are being accumulated in my time and taxation is being imposed. What happens to the future fiscal use? It's not just about capturing the untaxed. |
Streetinvestor2:There capital requirement is small.. Maybe less than 15bn for the worst hit.(composite insurance) I believe most with either life or General will meet the deadline, if they haven't already. Fingers crossed sha... |
oxx4:The fund isn't enough to fund deficits;i get that part now. Though I didn't advocate using the seed capital but the proceeds from the fund. But it's understandable if returns are being compounded. |
pluto09:Fair enough, if it's $3bn, then probably not enough as you stated. If you read my previous reply I was not against borrowing for infrastructure. I am against the bulk of the borrowing catering for previous borrowing that's due next month(Akpabio said it on the floor of the senate). How sustainable? You and I will bear the consequence of this new borrowings through aggressive taxation amongst others. Not for social amenities, but to cater for borrowings and the cycle continues. ![]() |
Yoursfaithful:King of dark can't bear it any longer ![]() |
NSEstudent:Yes....correct. that's the conservative average generally. However But based on specific results of some stocks and the nature of business(low OS, economic necessity, Brand name popularly, MOAT factor, expansions, good and regular dividend payments, good dividend yield, etc) he could use EPS x 4x5 OR EPS x 4x6 or (inbetweens) For negative perception within the stock and stained result (e.g bloated OS, Accumulated debt on balance sheet, -ve equity, poor dividend or no dividends, sector standards etc he could apply a penalty of 50%,75%, etc. That is: EPS x 4x 4 x 50%(0.5) or EPS x 4 x 4 x 75%(0.75) as the case may be.. You could customise it according to your own valuation and due diligence as well. |
mikeapollo:Lol.. I dont think so sha.. ee never reach like that. oxx4:Thats commendable at least. But the crux of the matter is to reduce borrowing and use part of the "grown seed" of $3bn(as you say) to fund the budget deficit. That's primarily the mandate of the stabilization fund.. To assist fiscal deficits. Not growing funds ab initio till infinity. Apart from borrowing for infrastructure or so which could be fair.. The crux of that over ₦1Trillion borrowing is to fund previous borrowing(Eurobond maturity, budget deficit, amongst others). Where is the stabilization Fund in these equation? |
@naturalflow the Q3 performance was not as good as Q2 performance that took it SP to 4+ It made ₦0.56 EPS in H1(Q1+Q2) which made estimated FY EPS to be about ₦1.10k! Consequently, this took SP to ₦4+ Q3 alone it made ₦0.13 (drop per Q). This shows it may not attain the FY EPS of ₦1.10k that was estimated by H1 that took the Share price to ₦4 if it continues with this ₦0.13 EPS in Q4. naturalflow: essentialone:I know Qtn is meant for Aj8. But let me add. EPS of MB is 0.69 Year-Till-Date(9Months). We are only left with 1 quarter EPS to add to the EPS of 0.69 to get the Estimated FY EPS. 12=12 calender months 9= calender months. 0.69* 12/9 will give you the estimated full year EPS of ₦0.92k He multiplies by 4 as his personal standard of average PE ratio of 4 for "most" companies which he calls common sense .0.92* 4=₦3.68 as target price. Alternative1, 4=4 quarters(12months; FY) 3= 3 quarters(9months) he could as well have done 0.69*(4/3)=₦0.92 Then 0.92*4= ₦3.68 as target price. For a more logical breakdown: Alternatively 2, you can divide 0.69(Eps for 3 quarters) by 3 to get the EPS for 1 Quarter= 0.69/3= 0.23. Then multiply 0.23 *4 to get the estimated full yr EPS= ₦0.92k. Then multiply 0.92*4 to get the common sense target price of ₦3.68 as target price |
