okeysoninv:is really sickening and tiring educating lads in this space but I will indulge u this once. 1If, its because of the oil boom, why is Nigeria's economy with all the oil booms in different periods especially the 70s still at comatose with Nigeria begging like alamajiri around the world since the end of regional governance The premier then was M I Okpara and the regional government had semi autonomy to run its economy free from federal intervention if u know what that means. Any other thing u need to know about the eastern economy of 50s and 60s, read that up because it is in the recent history books and everywhere 7 Likes 1 Share |

Politics / Nigeria Would Be A Better Place If Other Nigerians Will Learn From Igbos by Chimok: 4:57pm On Apr 16, 2023 |
Political wisdom by Nigeria standard is about winning elections by whichever means and that's unfortunately is what kept Nigeria where she is today. Politicians and the elites are the only beneficiaries of the system living majority (95%) of Nigerians gasping for salvation. Nigeria has the resources both human and natural that will transform the country to be one of the leading countries in the world but because of the shortcomings and limitations of the electoral process, bad leaders have continued to control the system of governance. The leadership has arrogated to themselves the power to recycle themselves in government that the masses barely have a say in how they are been governed. Politicians have usedthe instrument of religion and majorly ethnicity to perpetuate themselves in governance and the Nigerian masses have become the major tools in sustaining the unfortunate system. Igbo people of the southeast have since 1993 had a different perspective when it comes to leadership. There voting pattern have continued to be about the best candidate. There collective votes go to the better or best candidate contesting. In 1993, Igbos massively voted Abiola who at that time believed to be the better candidate. Igbos again in 1999 massively voted Obasanjo and did again in 2003 against their very own Ojukwu who failed to get a reasonable votes even in his home state Anambra. In 2007, Igbos massively voted for Yaradua and Jonathan in 2011 who respectively were the better candidates among those contesting. In 2015, Igbos again even with the shortcomings of the Jonathan's regime in the southeast he failed to cite any meaningful project still voted him because Igbos know a Jonathan's government would be better than Buhari's. Other regions shared their votes and Buhari emerged eventually and Nigeria was taken 100yrs back. Now in 2023, Obi obviously remained the best candidate and Igbos again gave him their total votes but other regions ofcourse continued in their religious and ethnic considerations and sentiments. If we can't follow the Igboman's selflessness and sacrifices, Nigerian masses will continue to live in hell in their own country. 8 Likes 2 Shares |
Politics / Yorubas Are Blessed With People Who Have Excelled In The World Arenas by Chimok: 7:23am On Apr 16, 2023 |
These people have excelled in their various careers at the world stages ÷ Wole Soyinka Anthony Joshua Sade Davido Fela Omos Ayra Star and a host of others Yorubas have also excelled in leadership and social activism - Gani Fawehnmi, Fela, Fals, Pa Adebanjo, Osinbajo etc. We all witnessed the short period Osinbajo took over as acting president and within just three months Nigeria was on a real positive change but the forces truncating everything positive in Nigeria would never allow that and they are the same forces that made sure Tinubu with all his baggages emerged instead of an Osinbajo. However, Yorubas even with all these excellence are still leaning more on tribalism which their politicians are influencing to continue their rape of the nation. Yoruba youths are atill back and forth on the need for national rebirth and sustaining the politicians will for Nigeria Yoruba youths to me are the hope of this national rebirth which i believe Igbo youths have already queued into. 1 Like |

And this is what they ve been propagating through the media control. Again Yorubas are the only region that are not self reliant. Other regions can survive autonomy except the southwest that have continued to leech on this unity. If not for the system, why would only Lagos be the only running seaports among other things they monopolize through the system. The truth is Awolowo from the gains of the civil war grabbed Nigerian economic power for the yoruba elites while Fulanis grabbed the political power |

Because when u follow the demography of the voters u will understand those that voted for Tinubu are mostly the illiterates, jobless, poor who are found in the poor neighbourhoods of the country. Tinubu failed in places like Lagos, Abuja because the voters there can't easily be bought with peanuts. He won in areas vote can be bought with as low as #500 Most of us here must have encountered one 2if the Tinubu supporters here begging online 2 Likes |
Politics / Nigeria Has Better Potentials Than The UAE (united Arab Emirate) by Chimok: 6:01pm On Apr 15, 2023 |
As long as we keep recycling the same old leadership that keep sitting on the country's progress Nigeria can only get worse until we unavoidably break up. Following Peter Obi's pre campaign tours there is no doubt a leader like that can turn the fortunes of this country to compete with the fastest developing countries of the world 1 Like |

An Abakaliki typical guy will never deny his origin because u have some myopic issue about where he comes from. Politics / Tinubu Supporters Are The Most Foolish Set Of People In The World by Chimok: 1:55pm On Apr 10, 2023 |
Even though I know they are in the minutest minority and that's why their principal failed woefully even in Lagos after so much manipulations. Those supporting other candidates like Sanwo Olu can even be considered but these set of people littered in social media attacking any one opposing Tinubu 's candidacy are terrinly so so sick. They shouldnt live among normal humans |

KillSars:I dont blame ur likes for the space given by social media because u don't deserve cohabitation with normal human beings. Politics / Terribly Sad and Unfortunate Getting To Know The Real Soyinka by Chimok: 11:22am On Apr 10, 2023 |
Imagine the Soyinka we all held to the very high esteem stooping so low challenging a small boy like Datti Baba Ahmed to a debate. Is this what old age have left this man with or the man is simply chasing clout and fame when we thought he cared. Why would an old man like Soyinka begin to have issues with obidients who are majorly children and youths who are only seeking accountability and good governance. Here he is in disgrace singing praises of tinuhu and wife how they helped him at the time majority of Nigerians are contesting the declaration of Tinubu in the just concluded presidential election . What is the target of an old man like Soyinka if not mischief. These are part of the educated elites that feel unemployed and jobless youths are all lazy, layabouts Just like Fasoranti, Soyinka has shown how mischievous a person he is even at his age. 1 Like |

Politics / Afenifere Is The Only Regional Organization Worthy Of Note by Chimok: 11:49am On Apr 07, 2023 |
All other organizations including Ohaneze are hugely influenced by the systemic rot. Ohaneze's support for Peter Obi is just a decoy to be in the good books of the Igbo masses but they actually worked for Tinubu's emergence just like other Igbo political leaders. Afenifere is the only worthy organization that has been interested in Nigeria's turn around. I remembered during the National Conference in 2014/2015, they were the only group that went there with the practical solutions to Nigeria's problems 1 Like |

Just like Tinubu who claimed to be this or that or have done this or that as Lagos state governor but sadly no longer in his prime to maintain such professionalism or momentum so to say. The recent Wole Soyinka interview where he berated Labour party vice presidential candidate of Labour party - Senator Baba Ahmed Datti and the Obidient family simply pointed to the very fact the Nobel laureate has really passed his prime and may limit his engagement with critical national issue. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest heroes of our time and a real Omoluabi when one reminisces the Omoluabis who have stood tall in confrontation to deadly and dangerous administrations - the Felas, Fawenmis. We need him forever regarded |

A country blessed with everything but always cap in hand begging for aids and helps around the world while the leadership continues to endlessly steal the country resources for themselves and even for termites to feast on 1 Like |
