Politics / Re: Why Are Ordinary Nigerians Fighting Against Igbos Breaking Away by Chimok: 6:21pm On Mar 13, 2023
budaatum:

Do you realise that just about every country was created? Or is it the fact Lord Lugard was white that bothers you so much, or the fact his wife gave us a name?

Even the United Kingdom that your Lord Lugard came from was created, as was the United States of America, and everyone can see how much they've achieved by working together as opposed to tearing each other apart as we do!

United Kingdom is advanced to the point whereby it is de-evolving into separate nations. We too might when we get enough sense, but nothing shows me we are any where there yet, so for now, I, buda, pledge to Nigeria my country, Lord Lugard from Europe or his wife regardless.
terrible reasoning

Politics / Why Are Ordinary Nigerians Fighting Against Igbos Breaking Away by Chimok: 2:21pm On Mar 13, 2023
During this electioneering campaigns I saw lots of posts disparaging Obi and then Gbadebo that they support IPOB activities. These posts, tweets and comments are asking electorates from particular sections of the country not to vote the above-mentioned candidates on account of this support.

My question especially to Yoruba brothers who are always about Igbo dominating their region and how Igbos should return to their landlocked region but still whenever the issue of Igbos Breaking away comes up, they will still turn around to ask or wish soldiers dismantle any plan of IPOB breaking away from nigeria.

Politics / With The Evidences So Far Peter Obi Should Reclaim His Mandate Soon by Chimok: 11:31am On Mar 13, 2023
With evidences assembled so far in Lagos, Rivers, Edo, Anambra, Kaduna, Akwaibom, Bayelsa, Niger, Kano and some other states its a matter of few months before the tribunal do the needful by returning Obi as the president-elect
In most of these states, Obi's votes were grossly shrunkened while Tinubu's were hugely inflated. In some of the states mentioned Obi's votes were counted for Atiku in the bid to discourage Obi from seeking justice

In Anambra for instance Obi's polled more than one million credible votes and this incidentally were experienced in other south eastern states as well
Obi polled more than 2million votes in Rivers. All these evidences are there for the tribunal to do its job and return the rightful winner of the presidential election, Mr Peter Obi.

Politics / Re: There Is Far More Suffering In Southwest Outside Lagos Than Southeast by Chimok: 5:14pm On Mar 12, 2023
helinues:

We will big a big wall. No going back about it.

At least if you guys claim about SW is true, then why is it that it's only your people who are flocking to our region why SW people would rather travel out of the country instead of coming to your region.

Stay put in your Eldorado. It's developed enough to accommodate the indigenes residing outside their region.

Hian
silly reasoning. I believe u are in Lahos? Is Lagos ur home state?

Op, only you have been to osun, Ekiti, ONDO, Ogun, lagos etc. What exactly are you looking for?

How many states in your land locked region have you been to?

If any state in your region is better than the states you have visited, you won't have any reason going about like sheep without shepherd.

are u in ur state urself?

Let's take Oyo state as a case study.. Ibadan city alone is bigger than 3 out of 5 South East States combined.. yet Oyo state gets same allocation as each of the 5 tiny states in South East.. PLEASE DEFINE INJUSTICE.

To make matters worse, the Igbos in SE don't stay back in their region.. they still flock in droves into Ibadan like they do to Lagos. Please how will South West develop?

I don't know maybe it's just me seeing the cheating and injustice on Yorubas by the Igbos.. If I had my way I'd slash the allocations meant for SE by half and add it to that of SW since the people there are always running to SW.
Unfortunately for u, Igbos run to 'Ibadan' to make all the money there, live in better neighbourhoods living u indigenes in slums

3 out of 5 highest political positions in the land while dey no even get quarter not to talk of 1 position.

As you can see , we are the loudest in getting things done not the Apere Ajashe's
that's the reason for the write-up brother. All these top positions by Yorubas without the appropriate impact on Yoruba land and Yorubas. Just like the northern leaders continue to impoverish their people amidst top positions in Nigeria
Politics / There Is Far More Suffering In Southwest Outside Lagos Than Southeast by Chimok: 8:23am On Mar 12, 2023
Yorubas seem to be more tribalistic when it comes to chosen the number one citizen(president) of this nation. Majority of Yorubas not all if I might put it that way.

The recent presidential election buttressed that fact. There is no doubt Obi is the better candidate among the trio of Tinubu, Atiku and Obi but yet, due to ethnicism u have many Yorubas rooting for Tinubu simply on tribal considerations than credibility.

Funny enough, the whole country including the Yorubas suffer the primitive decision. As they say, there is no market, better hospital, roads, cheaper petroleum products etc exclusively for a particular tribe over another, We all collectively suffer any premordial decision anchored on tribal or sectional sentiments.

I have been to Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Ogun, Oyo and I found that the level and rate of suffering there is far alarming than what one finds in the southeast - Anambra, Imo, Abia, Enugu. The only places in the southwest you find any semblance of moderate economic activities with moderate living conditions are only in the state capitals of Abeokuta, Akure, Ibadan. There are terrible slums littered all over Oshogbo and Ado Ekiti especially those areas that have high concentrations of Yorubas.

This brings me to the question, what are these Yoruba politicians doing with the resources of these southwestern states. In the southeast a state like Anambra, where you will find slums are in the urban areas like Onitsha, mostly where you have concentration of non indigenes. When you go to the semi-urban areas and villages you will find significant economic activities with decent living conditions among the people.

This piece Iis not targetted as insult but factual findings that should encourage youths of Yoruba and southwest to thinkover because they are the ones that can hold these Yoruba leaders who have always set them up ethnically for their selfish agenda.

I don't even blame them

It is their Leaders who understand the Implications of coveting other People's lands and are silent that are the most dangerous

It is the silence of the Leaders thar is making them think that wat they are doing is right only Yul Edochie spoke up

Even if people are doing the wrong things arent leaders supposed to correct and warn them to take the correct path
from ur comments u must be a child with very little comprehension so educating u will be fruitless

Lagos state has the resources that can conveniently turn the whole of southwest to modern cities but the cartel Tinubu started and sustained have continued to divert this resources to private purses and accounts.
Gbadebo not just a true lagosian has all it takes to lead Lagos to the rightful position it should belong. There is no reason Lagos shouldn't be like Dubai.

Sanwo Olu is simply not from Lagos, he is from Ondo. Just like Tinubu who is from Osun, I dont get why the real Lagos indigenes wouldn't be allowed to take over what rightfully belong to them. I dont think in other Yoruba states - Oyo, Osun, Ondo etc allow non indigenes of those states to lead them. Gbadebo among the contenders is the real Lagos indigene and we all know that. Sanwo Olu should have the same right in Lagos as a kaduna, delta or Anambra indigenes
