At least 83 Nigerian soldiers 'missing in Boko Haram attack' Maiduguri - Senior military officers say 83 soldiers are missing after Boko Haram Islamic extremists attacked a remote base in northeastern Nigeria. Officers said the soldiers were unable to fight back because they were poorly equipped. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorised to give information to reporters. Army spokesperson Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman said last week that some soldiers were missing and 13 wounded when the insurgents on October 17 attacked their base in Gashigar village, on the border with Niger. Usman has not responded to requests for comment about the actual number. Officers say dozens of fleeing troops jumped into the Niger River and 22 were pulled from the water by soldiers from the neighboring country. They say many may have drowned. source: www.news24.com |
Maitama sule though a blind man, but he can speak for hours without mincing word full of wisdom and real love for the country. These are the kind of elders Nigeria needs. |
As far as I am concerned, the President is also corrupt. The receiver of a stollen good is also a thief. Buhari's election was funded with stolen money so he is also liable. |
Sharap. Make thunder fire that ya mouth there
|
kolaish:But wait o. Are you saying Nigerians know Buhari more than his own wife for 27 years? Haba bros |
who will fight for the masses when people like Femi Falana and Festus Kenyamo whom I was really hoping on are now card carrying members of APC. |
fitzmayowa:The only thing that bothers him is how to meet Aisha in "Za oza room" |
sarrki:It is sycophants like you that will make any leader not to succeed. You are still shouting sai Buhari when it is obvious that he has failed. The real problem of this country are the youths. I am very sure u have not eaten and typing from one China phone, free megabyte courtesy of MTN, GLO, AIRTEL and ETISALAT. I strongly believe that it is the same person that brainwashed shekau that has brainwashed u. Zombiesm is really the world deadliest disease. So pathetic. |
It is very simple. Who God has blessed no man can curse. |
The source said “According to Islamic marriage guidelines, a wife ought not to berate or warn her husband in public.”.......... OK but she can berate or warn him in "the other room" |
Since the exchange of the chibok girls with some Boko Haram commanders, it has been one killing or the other. Heard more Boko Haram Commanders are set to be released in exchange for more Chibok girls. To where do we go from here. |
Kingkamal:Notified by who. Jonathan was the chief security officer and the state governor still went ahead to open the school? |

FriendChoice:Don't worry hope u are aware that they were swapped with some boko haram commanders. They have gone to regroup and are certainly coming for you and ur family members. |
If the Governor of Borno state had listed to the advice of waec calling for the girls to write their exams in a more secured location we wouldn't have been talking of chibok girls today. it's as if the state govt had a hand in their abduction. if not why did he reopen the school against the advice of waec. Thank God they are back |
Even Aisha has to cry out because she can no longer afford materials for her beauticology business. Profit has dwindled since her husband came to power |
isorite make them scatter ayam not bothered. |
It is high time Nigerians rose up against this rape of democracy being experienced in Nigeria. Yesterday it was Dasuki and Nnamdi Kalu, the other day it was Saraki and Ekweremadu, now it is the Judges. Tomorrow it might be your turn. Have you ever asked why every one else except the President and his cabals are corrupt. for crying out loud, the President can effectively fight corruption without violating the rule of law. In the administration of criminal justice, even if u saw someone robbing a bank and u did not take evidence like video or pictures, u can not prosecute him. it not enough to say I saw him. where is the evidence. Besides all suspects are presumed to be innocent unless proved guilty. |
The same outcry that was sponsored by the then CPC and ACN. If they had allowed Jonathan to do it then we would have overcome the effect by now. This is certainly the wrong time to remove subsidy. The reason why people did not protest or riot was because most of the people that were shouting sai Buhari were too ashamed to do so. In addition to that, the press, civil liberty organization, NLC, TUC, ASU, NUPENG, pengasson etc were cowed not to raise their voices by the govt attack dog EFCC. |
Oba Obvoramhen Nogbaisi of the great Benin kingdom says and I quote. If fire can consume the tortoise with the iron coat, what will happen to the foul with a feathered gown. If buhari can say what he said about his wife, then what will happen to other people's wife. I pity this country. |
in Obasanjo voice. I just dey laugh |
He is going to visit the 'President' of 'West Germany' |
OK. Now that they are out how them go take chop. Things have really change in Nigeria since they left o. |
The police should stop making a mounting out of a molehill. it is a common thing to note that in every mammy market, in military and police barracks, tailors are seen on daily basis sewing uniforms and selling accessories to uniform men. for instance it is only in the barracks u can get competent tailors who can sew uniform for all military and paramilitary organizations. it expected that ranks and pin numbers are to be sewn on uniforms I can say without mincing words that nothing is illegal about sewing of police uniform in the barracks. I grew up in the barracks and know that those shops are either owned by policemen of the works department or members of their families. |
meanwhile in imo state. Okorocha is playing politics with hunters he referred to as militants.

All these embarrassments just because a certified dullard is in power. There is no substitute for the rule of law. If the govt has evidence to nail Dasuki that's fine but follow the rule of law. It baffles me that people like Itse Sagay, Falana, Malami, Udoma and etal can't advice buhari accordingly. Now Dasuki will smile home with 15M tax payers money. Is this govt not increasing his loots? |
