If these are true then he must be very frugal. However am baffled, why did he support a rather wasteful Jonathan Goodluck that laid the foundation for the current recession?
I know he is a learned fellow, versed in financial matters, while on earth did he decide to support GEJ considering his wastefulness.
One thing I've come to learn about educated elites is their penchant to become honorary advisers when they leave government. I thought Okonjo Iweala would for instance come out to explain to Nigerians how she presided over an economy that received so much oil income that toward the end was already borrowing to finance salary of workers.
You see why Nigeria baffles me!!!
The same reason u support a certificateless dullard.

HungerBAD:
There is something strange about these pictures .

I mean,it is strange seeing Patience Ebele Jonathan walking behind her husband. Usually she takes the lead, including meeting World dignitaries by shaking their hands, before the husband MEEKLY follows behind.

Sad how the mighty has fallen. In the 6th Picture,I counted only 15 people lined up to Welcome the former President. Back in the days when he was in charge of looting Nigeria, there would have been thousands there lined up to welcome him.

No more money to steal,no more friends.

Lastly, who even dresses Patience Ebele Jonathan?this woman lacks any sense of dressing, even with the Billions she has stolen.

Still waiting to read somewhere, even from her supporters that she looks good one day. She always dresses like an Atilogwu Dancer.
Let's wait and see how many people will be at the airport to receive your Buhari after one year and five months of leaving office. Less I forget, there will be no airport then because all the airlines would have gone to Ghana
Politics › Re: I’ll Continue To Blame My Predecessors For Nigeria’s Woes – Buhari by chinjo(m): 12:02pm On Oct 01, 2016
tuale4u:
Buhari is on point.

I actually i find it unrealistic when people say the govt should stop blaming the past.
We are suffering today, because the past never prepared for the future (today).

And also we are very unrealistic in our expectation that things can turn around suddenly.
it will takes us about ten years to diversify the economy. Diversification is not a switch you can just turn on or off.
it is a long painful process. We must understand this and work towards it.

All we talk about is dollar vs naira rate because we are still focussing on consuming imported tins.

We must look inward in our consumption pattern.

Blaming the past for the current economy woes does not in any way affect the performance of the govt. They can blame past govt while they work. it does not slow down progress in anyway. Actually it helps progress because it makes it easier for Nigerians to persevere and work hard for a better future.
is Buhari not part of the past?

Truth be said.....

Nobody is in charge of Nigeria's economy.

Buhari has always thought to achieve economic prosperity, horde your dollars while you try to get other countries to foolishly buy your products..

The problem with his philosophy is that many countries take the concept of "Balance of trade" very very seriously

Infact, they will seek other customers once they know you have artificially tilted the table against them. Worst of it is restricting their repatriation of profits from Nigeria. Buhari's ignorance of modern trends in world trade really dealt a death blow to our economy.

Let them keep mentioning Jonathan this, Jonathan that. The present problems Nigeria is facing is simply as a result of bad policy by a man who has never contributed anything intellectually to the growth of this country since he was booted out of office. No book published, no memoirs, no seminar/workshop organized nothing to his credit. We voted him in just because of sentiments and now reality is staring us in the face.

Just like in a football match, when u notice that a particular formation is not working, u change it. Buhari, it is obvious that u don't have the right economic team to bring us out of this crisis, why not change them. no need to be ashamed about it after all it is for the good of all of us. Except u want to tell me that u are Arsenal wenger who would rather stick to his plans even when it is obvious that it is not working just because of pride.

Today, police placed a ban on the activities on the same BBOG group that was used by APC to win election. Hardly will any day pass without this APC making Nigerians regret voting Buhari into power. Karma is really a bitch.

The ignorant congressman was probably prodded by an ipob member to write the above trash. Whatever the case may be, he has only given an opinion and not the reality on ground. Majority of Nigerians that voted for Buhari are happy with his effort so far at fighting corruption and eradicating the boko haram insurgency. A congress man in the US will not dictate to us how to go about fighting corruption or how to go about fighting terrorists. We have our country to protect and we will go about it our way.

Nigeria did not dictate to the US how to go about fighting terrorism after the 9/11 attacks. They invaded Iraq without any evidence of weapons of mass destruction and without the UN authorisation. They have committed unimaginable war crimes all over the world so, they are not in any position to lecture Nigeria on the morality or otherwise of how we fight corruption and secure our country. If the dasugate scandal is to happen in US, will the congressman be talking this same poo? Though I believe the Obama administration will definitely ignore the congress man's trashy letter, Nigerians need not to worry. If US refuse to sell weapons to us, we will buy from Russia and China.

I stumbled on this picture on the internet and decided to share it. it was used to describe what Buhari promised us and what we are currently passing through. Of a truth we are in real trouble. I have not bought rice in Mudu for a very long time so yesterday because of lack of cash I decided to buy in mudu. I was told that a mudu of rice now goes for N1,300. for close to 5 minutes, I was speechless. Is this really the change we were promised? how can a civil servant with an average salary of N25,000 survive this. Buhari's policies is going to turn a lot of people that were not corrupt before into corrupt people because, man must WAK.

The coup speech that overthrew Buhari on August 27, 1985
I, Brigadier Joshua Nimyel Dogonyaro, of the Nigerian Army, hereby make the following declaration on behalf of my colleagues and members of the Nigerian Armed Forces. Fellow country men, the intervention of the military at the end of 1983 was welcomed by the nation with unprecedented enthusiasm.
Nigerians were unified in accepting the intervention and looked forward hopefully to progressive changes for the better. Almost two years later, it has become clear that the fulfillment of expectations is not forthcoming.
Because this generation of Nigerians and indeed future generations have no other country but Nigeria, we could not stay passive and watch a small group of individuals misuse power to the detriment of our national aspirations and interest. No nation can ever achieve meaningful strides in its development where there is an absence of cohesion in the hierarchy of government; where it has become clear that positive action by the policy makers is hindered because as a body it lacks a unity of purpose. It is evident that the nation would be endangered with the risk of continuous misdirection.
We are presently confronted with that danger. In such a situation, if action can be taken to arrest further damage, it should and must be taken. This is precisely what we have done. The Nigerian public has been made to believe that the slow pace of action of the Federal Government headed by Major-General Muhamadu Buhari was due to the enormity of the problems left by the last civilian administration.
Although it is true that a lot of problems were left behind by the last civilian government, the real reason, however, for the very slow pace of action is due to lack of unanimity of purpose among the ruling body; subsequently, the business of governance, has gradually been subjected to ill-motivated power play considerations.
The ruling body, the supreme Military Council, has, therefore, progressively been made redundant by the actions of a select few members charged with the day to day implementation of the SMC’s policies and decision. The concept of collective leadership has been substituted by stubborn and ill-advised unilateral actions, thereby destroying the principles upon which the government came to power.
Any effort made to advise the leadership, met with stubborn resistance and was viewed as a challenge to authority or disloyalty. Thus the scene was being set for systematic elimination of what, was termed oppositions.
All the energies of the rulership were directed at his imaginary opposition rather than to effective leadership. The result of this misdirected effort is now very evident in the country as a whole.
The government has started to drift. The economy does not seem to be getting any better as we witness daily increased inflation. The nation’s meager resources are once again being wasted on unproductive ventures. Government has distanced itself from the people and the yearnings and aspirations of the people as constantly reflected in the media have been ignored.
This is because a few people have arrogated to themselves the right to make the decisions for the larger part of the ruling body.
All these events have shown that the present composition of our country’s leadership cannot, therefore, justify its continued occupation of that position. Furthermore, the initial objectives and programmes of action which were meant to have been implemented since the ascension to power of the Buhari Administration in January 1984 have been betrayed and discarded.
The present state of uncertainty and stagnation cannot be permitted to degenerate into suppression and retrogression. We feel duty bound to use the resources and means at our disposal to restore hope in the minds of Nigerians and renew aspirations for a better future.
We are no prophets of doom for our beloved country, Nigeria. We, therefore, count on everyone’s cooperation and assistance. I appeal to you, fellow countrymen, particularly my colleagues in arms to refrain from any act that will lead to unnecessary violence and blood shed among us. Rest assured that our action is in the interest of the nation and the armed forces. In order to enable a new order to be introduced, the following bodies are dissolved forthwith pending further announcements: (a) The Supreme Military Council (b) The Federal Executive Council (c) The National Council of States.
All seaports and airports are closed, all borders remain closed. Finally a dusk to dawn curfew is hereby imposed in Lagos and all state capitals until further notice. All military commanders will ensure effective maintenance of law and order. Further announcements will be made in due course. God bless Nigeria.

Personally I have since lost faith in Falana. I was hoping he would easily fit into the shoes of Gani Fawehinmi but he started romancing the APC. He has lost his credibility in the eyes of the common man. Taking side with Buhari even in the face of gross human right abuses and disregard for the constitution. Nobody takes him seriously these days.
