Today's game against orlando is exactly what happens when there's no KG or Rondo. And why is everyone on that team getting injured? Scalabrine, KG, Rondo, Tony Allen. Wtf?
I was impressed with their performance in 4th quarter though but it was too late but they tried, they didn't get much of an ass-whooping.

Huh. Dwight Howard sure got some nerves, blocking all them shots. Boy. . . tongue

@ jesoul, uhh oook, you sure don't play with ya Leon Powe, huh? cheesy he's nice. Big baby bullied who? He was already out the game when I started watching, I was sleeping but you know I had to watch that game, lolz. Tell me why this white boy with a long-ass name was always claiming foul with his bald head.
Did you see Lebron smile when he dropped a 3 close to the end? it was too cute (hey, I can't be mad at that) but umm, it was already too late for homeboy. The more they lose, the better for boston, y'know.

CultureRe: Solve The Nigerian Problem By Banning Our Local Languages. by chiogo(f): 11:31pm On Mar 07, 2009
From Chrishenzo
My reason is this, I was in a class of about 30students from different countries, a girl was celebrating her birthday so the teacher asked everyone of us to sing the song(Happy birthday to You) in our own language. An english guy sang, German sang, Spanish sang, French, Sweden, etc, but when it reached my turn, believe me that was the day I realise how we are neglecting our own language.
Your inability to sing 'happy birthday' in your language is not due to neglect of our language but lack thereof of the 'happy birthday' song in igbo or any Nigerian language for that matter. You can't blame this generation for the archaic ways of the older generation. Back in the olden days, I'm sure our fore-fathers didn't celebrate birthdays much less singing the 'happy birthday' song. Nigerians today acknowledge birthdays due to colonization. Left to the older generation, birthdays are just another day. That's the african mentality. Your german and italian counterparts on the other hand are westerners so singing happy birthday in their languages should be expected.

@topic, you kinda make sense but we all know it's not going to happen. And for y'all saying language is the least of Nigeria's problem, you are so wrong. Ethnocentrism is one of the biggest problems Nigeria faces. I come across topics belittling one ethnic group or the other on a regular basis here on nairaland.

I also think it's totally unfair that some people's language are regarded as not among the 'main' languages of the country. Why are igbo, yoruba, and hausa the only main languages? There would be some level of equality if everyone speaks the same language, then one group wouldn't feel better than the other. But anyways, it will be a miracle if it happens.

FashionRe: The Ups And The Downs Of A Skinny Girl. by chiogo(f): 6:02pm On Mar 07, 2009
I agree that being skinny has its ups and downs but I don't agree with some of the downs made by the original poster.

I, for one do not drool over celebrities. Last time I checked, the majority of them do every possible thing to be skinnier. Sometimes, they even look like they're starving. I don't support that at all. That's why I admire celebs like Jennifer Hudson, her body is great and you don't have to be extra skinny to look good. I would say she looks better than Paris Hilton.

I think average body type is the best. But rather skinny than obese.

Nice game by Boston against cleveland, Ray-Ray really had his game on check. Paul Pierce is def The Truth! I gotta admit that Leon Powe really stepped up to the plate, can't believe I under-rated him, you were right jesoul.
I've been kinda slow on my team these days, where did that Mikki Moore dude come from? Anyway, he definitely brought his game.
Music/RadioRe: Artistes That Have No Business In The Music Industry by chiogo(f): 3:28am On Mar 05, 2009
Oo please! Lil' wayne will cough on a track and people will buy?? Nah, only retards would buy.

I didn't see his name as # 1 on the forbes list. Truth is, their record label buy most of their albums. Who needs to buy an album when there's ares and limewire? Definitely not me.

Abeg he's wack , like 98% of the time. Tsk tsk!
SportsRe: Nba Season '08/09 by chiogo(f): 3:12am On Mar 05, 2009
Huh. This place's been dead for a while and everybody seems depressed.

As for the Celtics, I'm not bothered to watch them right now against the Nets, I'm too tired but umm, friday's game is def a must watch. Hmm, Lebron and co. Hope KG is back by then.
Music/RadioRe: Why Do Igbo Artistes Sing In Yoruba? by chiogo(f): 3:02am On Mar 05, 2009
Afrocynic, I don't know who N!gga raw is but if you understood igbo, you'd understand the acronym Asha 80 just gave you for the n!gga raw dude.

Nig-nigerian
g-guy
a-anakpo
r-raw

Basically, the above means 'a Nigerian guy they call raw'

And you mentioned something about American rappers not being able to use such acronym. FYI, 2pac did. His definition of NIGGA was:
N-never
I-ignorant about
G-getting
G-goals
A-accomplished

Thought you were a hip-hop head, u coulda fooled me.

@tpia, thank you very much. I thought the intellectuals on nairaland were all gone for a minute.

I too was going to ask them why everyone on this thread is typing in english and not their 'cultural' languages. Isn't that also 'inferiority complex'? Nonsense!

TV/MoviesRe: Jamie Foxx Or Will Smith? by chiogo(f): 10:10pm On Mar 02, 2009
cabali:
There is no competition. Will Smith is better.

Grabs a better box office figure, makes more money, is more expensive for a movie, more charismatic, Forget it.
Umm, the topic didn't ask who's better off financially

but I'll go with Will
Music/RadioRe: Why Do Igbo Artistes Sing In Yoruba? by chiogo(f): 9:31pm On Mar 02, 2009
@Davidylan, I get your point and the points of others

It's just funny that everyone seems to think I'm talking about me personally. I'm just speaking from a general view of what I've noticed.

If I had such an inferiority complex, believe me my screen name won't be anything close to what it is or i won't be anywhere close to this website. huh
