9JAMac10: Why men day discuss ethnic affiliation for here . As long as it’s super eagles one team one nation. I don’t care where they hail from as long as they are Nigerians.
Oga rest. This is not the usual Igbo/Yoruba fight online. We are just having fun, no bad blood but we have to stop in order not to derail the thread.
charlesemeka85: yes benue pple are very nice. The idoma’s if not known you may mistake them to be igbos
There is one that is my colleague at work wey I been think say na igbo girl until last week when she told me she is from Idoma but grew up in Enugu I shock.
Even I heard they share some names with igbos and that our tradition and customs are alike
Bro I don't know the name of that bridge but it is between Nasarawa and Agatu. Better fear catch me as I dey drive untop that bridge. I couldn't look sideways. I had to comport myself make my sisters wey I carry no find out say fear dey my body. I dey fear water like mad 😂🤣😂
Mujtahida: Yes ooo. I was born and brought up in makurdi. So I know a little about these things.
After Atlanta 96, a street in makurdi was renamed Daniel Amokachi Street.
Tiv people are usually strong. Very good farmers.
Very strong people. My brother's bakery in Enugu is run by them, and I must tell you, they are good people. Idoma people are also nice. In fact, you Benues are nice people from what I have seen here with many of you in Enugu.
Mujtahida: No. Simon is Idoma. Amokachi is mixed. Idoma father and Tiv mum. Tiv people have given us the Kpakor brothers (Moses and Terfa) , Barnabas Imenger, Edward Anyakegh (Oman 95 u-17 tourney), Dominic Iorfa.
Francisca Ordega, the Falcon player is Tiv.
In the 90s BCC Lions and Lobi dominated in the Nigerian league.
But my people, nothing nothing. E dey pain me.
Tiv also gave us Dominic Iorfa. We the Abians were also given David Tyavkase at Enyimba. Omo Tiv boys dey ball oo.
Simon is Idoma from Odugbehor in Agatu LGA. If you have driven to the east from Abuja via Nasarawa, you would know Agatu. First time I drove through that route, I wan piss for body untop that bridge between Nasarawa and Agatu because I dey fear water like mad.
Mujtahida: See how Akor Adams sneaked in and claimed the role of a supporting striker. 3 games, 2 goals. And he's never invincible. He's an Eagle.
He's pushed Tolu to the bench and made us forget Dessers and the rest.
What a dream for him.
Somehow since Amokachi, Idoma people have consistently produced top players for us: Onazi Moses Simon Now Akor.
I'm from the middle belt but my ethnic group has never produced one player for Nigeria although I'm hoping that this my son who is just less than two years and is always holding ball in his hands, fit come become goalkeeper for naija ooo. 😂😂😂
Nwanne I thought you were Idoma oo. Abi you be Orring or Igede.
The boy was wise, unfortunately, his younger brother was not as wise and lucky. While Chinedu fought for a better life from the ghetto through football, his younger brother was consumed by ghetto life. Dude is a jailbird. If Chinedu and his brothers were born in their hometown in Anambra, his younger brother would have been a highly dreaded Bagger or Egede.
joelsteron: Benjamin must remain in CB on Sunday, coach shouldn't be tempted to bring on Seyi and push the latter to the RB. ABEG don't change that back four. Osayi will never repeat those silly erros that almost cost use the game.
Onyeka replaces Ndidi (Onyedika can come in to replace him)
Leave Iwobi, Lookman, Adam, Osimhen and Chukwueze as they are.
Simon Moses and Ejuke can come in 2nd half to traumatize Congo and make them regret. What do you think guys
Osayi's error was not a one off. The boy has always been sub par. Dude is not super eagles quality. Awaziem is average too but he is better than Osayi. Awaziem should be played as the right back.
Mujtahida: Let it be that Ndidi doesn't play because of the yellow. I want to see Onyedika.
Onyeka was the man when Ndidi was absent at the AFCON, and so far he has been the preferred sub, so I believe he will also be the man to replace Ndidi against DRC
TheSuperNerd: Only because I saw your initial post, I would be explicit.
Now, you would never know unless you have watched him more than twice at Dender this season like I have and especially at CB and not only when he initially featured at RB or RWB.
He had solid games at RB/RWB most especially vs Anderlecht and Standard Liege.
But his last 3 games at CB has seen him play full 90mins back to back and he impressed + leads the team in Interceptions per 90.
Defensively at Dender across 10 starts in 14 league games, he is... 1st in Interceptions Per 90 3rd in defensive blocks per 90 4th in Tackles Per 90 5th in Clearances Per 90
For a lad who has been trusted with 3 different roles before the club finally settled for him at CB in recent games, I would say he has distinguished himself well and is coming into his own at the club.
Folks arent really paying keen attention to Frederick at Dender and claim he has been underpar when that is not true at all. Perhaps they want to refer to the St Truiden game where he played RWB. Against St Truiden at RWB, he had a mixed performance. Strong in duels, brilliant in ball progression but he did concede a foul that led to a penalty for the opposition. As a young defender, mistakes happen but he picked himself up quickly and keeps thriving.
So it is until he scores before they realise he is actually progressing fine? Funny.
TheSuperNerd: This pic captures the exact moment, Benjamin "Beckanbaeur" Frederick left Aubameyang on the turf on his way to executing the brilliant run that fed Osimhen for 3-1. Iconic Picture!
Odunayaw: False. Ejuke has nothing to do with that error.
Osayi na otu but that goal was on Ejuke. Lemina had no business getting that ball unchallenged. Ejuke was supposed to close him down, but he failed to track back. Chukwueze wouldn't make such a mistake.
TheSuperNerd: Zaidu Sanusi.... another solid performance from the LB. Loads of defensive contributions from Zaidu. He stood his ground & made his wing impassable for Gabon's tricky wingers. Also contributed going forward by providing an extra passing option in the middle when we recycled possession and looked to break forward in vertical fashion. Was involved in the lovely passing sequence that led to Ndidi's assist for Ejuke.
You are right on this one. Dude is big upgrade on Bruno.
charlesemeka85: even if the team qualifies for the World Cup instead of Tosin to smell that world with the team mk we carry cb from npfl
Nna ehn! I detested Keshi for that singular act of taking Shola Ameobi to the world cup. That is exactly what this clown is also trying to do. I just hope Chelle never brings him in when we qualify.
mostob: Even though I jokingly made this statement then.. Some said I was hyping the boy.
The discussion then was about Tosin on and off signal to which I responded that we have Ben. I'm just curious, assuming Tosin switched today, will Chelle bench Ben for him?
We don't need that guy. Even if he comes today, it is to warm the bench for Bassey and Benji
