Eze was ready to play for us but Rohr SNUBBED the boy but after he rose to fame, he started chasing after him. Shame on Rohr.
Agreed. To make matters worse, Eze was dishing out better numbers than Etebo, yet Rohr kept on inviting Etebo, neglecting Eze while both were in the championship

That's my Moroccan boys mehn. Looking good... Looking good indeed but I hope they make it count abeg. I cannot be fanning them as my second favorite African team for nothing. angry

Meanwhile....the number of African Goalies we got in top clubs for this season is really encouraging.

- Bounou at Sevilla

- Onana at Ajax

- Edouard Mendy at Chelsea

- and even Alfred Gomis at Rennes...

...All in the UCL. Really cool.
What about Senegal's second choice goalkeeper, Alfred Gomis of Rennes?

It is one thing to declare, and it is another thing to EARN an invite. Iorfa has not done anything of note to be considered for a call up.

Wow! Oussama Idrissi, the Moroccan Roben joins Sevilla to bring the number of Moroccan stars in the club to 4.

Munir El Hadadi, En - Nesri, Yassine Bounou(Sevilla first choice goalkeeper) and now Oussama Idrissi

Not too long ago, as usual people working on perceptive assumption.

Believed this process takes months.

I explained the issue is not FIFA but NFF.

Nonetheless, for a player who had publicly several times in the past made blatantly clear he wants to play for Germany.

We seemed to have " BEGGED HIM" As some describe it here, then at Supersonic speed got his clearance to play for Nigeria. I wonder why the preferential treatment.

To me without prejudice " Double Standard "

Our gk should be inspired by Mendy who just joined Chelsea

Few years back dude was clueless and playing in league 2

I wish we had GK like the Senegalese
I swear but, I believe Uzoho will be really massive in few years time. That said we have some great talents like Jinadu, Oluwayemi etc coming through, we might even nick Aurthur Okonkwo from Arsenal.

By the way, did you Senegal's latest addition from Strasbourg in the Ligue1, Bingourou Kamara? He is a young quality goalkeeper

Are you still not getting the part where I said Rohr did his best convincing the lad he stands a chance with us? Rohr told him he stands a very good chance with us and as long as he keeps playing, he could become a main stay in our side. Rohr told him these and more yet the lad withdrew from the side. His name was on the list but got swapped at the last minute for Yakubu. Please understand that.

Also, our number 1 being out for long was the reason Rohr turned to Tobias and Alampasu in the first place to come push Okoye hard. It doesn't mean we still don't know who our Number 1 is. The coaching crew and those who follow the team keenly who Uzoho is the Number 1. Tu comprends? wink
What is your point exactly?

Are you disputing that we have a Number 1 choice GK or you just want to drag this discussion unnecessarily Chris? Everyone knows Uzoho is Number 1. What is there to even prove? Tell me.
Our number 1 has been out for long, it won't hurt to have someone push him really hard for that position when he comes back. Rohr should make Tobias understand that he stands a chance of pushing him for the position.

Maduka and Alampasu are simply not up to scratch.

It has been edited for minutes now and you even quoted it just as I said it.

Or you didn't see the "OR" part?

Also, my point is made. You said we should tell Tobias we don't really have a Number 1 and that is why I said we cannot tell him he can be number 1 just like that. It would be deceitful b'cos Rohr has a Number 1 in Uzoho already. Simple.
Can you prove the bolded?

You said something about convincing Tobias that we don't have a Number 1 right now.

"...as long as he remains a starter with LASK, make understand that we ain't got no first choice goalkeeper just yet"

Your words above.

Well, time will tell. I believe we still haven't given up on Tobias' case. We could see more communication exchanged between Rohr and the lad in the coming weeks or months. For now, it is what it is.
Why did you edit your previous post without indicating that you had it modified?

"You cannot tell Tobias he can be Number 1 or stands a chance to be Number 1 just like that when Uzoho is in the picture."

Rohr cannot lie about our GK situation. Uzoho is our first choice goalkeeper and is likely gonna make his first match day appearance today for Apoel. He posted so on his Instagram story today.

You cannot tell Tobias he can be Number 1 or stands a chance to be Number 1 just like that when Uzoho is in the picture.
Where did you read the bolded? Dude Zohos my man has been out for long, we need quality competitions to keep him on his toes, I don't see those competitions in both Maduka and Alampasu. Yes, Tobias coming in from LASK and playing in the Europa league stands a big chance to push him, Rohr should make him understand that.

TheSuperNerd:
Not gonna happen. smiley Take my words for it or not.
Calm down, and get my point first.

From what I know, Tobias is scared that we have better goalkeepers and that if he pitches his tent with us now, he would be a bench warmer, which also will automatically deny him the chance to display his wares with Austria U21 at the Euros. What I am asking if for Rohr to give him assurances that we ain't gonna bench him as long as he remains a starter with LASK, make him understand that we ain't got no first choice goalkeeper just yet, that he stands a chance just like everyone else to stake a claim to that number 1 shirt.

I have seen that boy pretty well, he is better than both Maduka and Alampasu

Chris. You are still not following. I read every word. Rohr had a very intense talk with Lawal. I have the messages of what Lawal said they discussed. Rohr did everything to convince him about his chances with us. But the lad for now remains kinda doubtful. Rohr can only try again but this time it is the lad and his agent who may have to reach out.
