since we were able to host the u17 worldcup, afcon back then, what makes u think we won't be able to host it again if given prior notice?

Or are u trying to tell me it was a fluke, or u went to tell me there is no development infrastructural and otherwise since we last hosted those.

Nigeria that hosted world economic forum where world and powerful leaders converged for 4-5 days meeting forum, ordinary afcon u re saying we can't host.

What's there in fixing bad roads,? The federal government fixed road leading to fela shrine withing 2 days when French president macron visited the place.

Well, I don't expect much since prophets doesn't prophesize in his hometown.
The bolded is the message and the reason we aint fit to bid for it now unlike countries like SA, Morocco, Algeria and of course Egypt who just won the right.

Chukwueze is a left footer. Shift him to RWF.

Kalu is a right footer. Shift him to LWF.

Ighalo is our sweetest CF option at the moment. Replace Osimhen with him.

There you have it. Attacking trio of life!. grin.
Seems u stock in ancient style of football. This age of soccer, wingers are played opposite their preferred foot unless u have a Drogba who feeds on crosses. Kalu wouldn't have scored those curlers with his left foot if he was played on the right hand side. Salah, Ronaldo, Chukwueze, Ojo, Balde etc wouldnt give u 100 percent playing on the wings that literarily corresponds with their preffered foot. Modern wingers, otherwise known as inverted wingers are required to cut in most of the time to score, lift the ball for the strikers or give defense splitting passes. Whipping in crosses ala the eras of Finidi aint really no sine-qua-nons of a good winger(s) today.

About Osimhen, plz eschew my posts whenever u wanna quote for quoting sake bkus I love quotes when u really have something to say. I wrote "prospect" and u drawing comparisons. Was that word and in the context it was used, really that hard to fathom?

Modified; the post already have them as u suggested abi u no notice?

Kalu...........Osimhen.......... Chukwueze

..................Iwobi....................

..........Mikel........ Ndidi

U guys sha are funny, u said Nigeria is fit to host Afcon yet u can't boast of working inter - state rail lines, good roads both within and inter - state, proper security etc etc. Maybe, u all think it takes only the stadiums to host a tourney. Even the stadiums down here aint in good conditions.

This attacking prospect gives me joy;

In a better society I wouldn't have to be wasting my vote on candidates like Atiku and/or Buhari, total failures they are and they have shown that over and again. However as it is now we have to decide between the two, we essentially run a two party system in Nigeria, Moghalu is just like an independent candidate in the US, winning is impossible.

Down to the points he raised, it is nonsensical that our president actually said that he makes appointments based on the people ' he trusts'. No no no, merit is not in his dictionary, only trust. At the end of the day you can only trust people you know and have worked with and that at the end of the day means we sacrifice merit on the altar of tribalism and all what not. OK let's say you appoint your ministers based on the people you trust I may not argue, but agencies, civil service and the military have a genuine structure that self-elects the top officials of such agencies based on years of outstanding performance and meritorious service. Why will you come in and bypass military personnel with proven track records just because you want to appoint who you trust, not because they are functioning well but because you trust that they will never stand against you. That is the sorry state of our country now.

Then I would say that the moderator isn't exactly intelligent. Moghalu mentioned that one of the chief causes of insecurity is lack of proper security at the boarders and somehow she brought him back to the fact that our problems are inborn. OK I want to ask if you decide to start shouting in your room from today till tomorrow what will change? But when you have access to the sophisticated weapons that these terrorists have then or is either it was imported or our military structure has been totally compromised. In America you can track the owner of a gun, makes it totally easy to limit crime. But here we don't know how they come about these guns, the first step has to be to secure our boarders, nothing illegal comes in then if they still have access to these weapons then we will know that the military is the problem and then tackle that one.

Finally this present fight against corruption is a scam, a major scam. Now let me ask you, if you earn 30k a month and you have a nasal issue, say nasal polyps and the surgery required would cost nothing less than 300k in a standard private hospital and you already know that there is absolutely no health insurance for you, if, say you work in a scholarship board, and someone comes to you in that period with a bribe of 300k wouldn't you collect it? I personally wouldn't but if you collect it then you have absolutely every right to. How can you be fighting corruption when the common man doesn't have access to three square meals a day? Stealing and corruption then becomes a necessity to survive. Corruption can only be defeated in a well developed economy, you can't leave the standard of living of the people and then start fighting corruption it is a total scam.

Like I said in a standard society, the main flag bearers should be guys like Moghalu, Peter Obi and Osibanjo and the fact that we have to be choosing between Buhari and Atiku shoes where we will remain in four years time
U finish work here. Lets see if Buhari would turn up on their day even though we know Osibanjo is definitely gonna be the mouthpiece.

I will reiterate, in a sane clime, Osibanjo, Obi, Moghalu and their ilks would be running mates or the main guys not the likes of Buhari and Atiku

Musa don retire abi? Every retiree deserves a ceremonial match esp when they have earned a significant amount of caps.
Lol maybe we should also organise a testimonial for oliseh too, after all, he also left unceremoniously and he was a better eagle than Moses. My dear, not every retiree deserves a ceremonial match. It is reserved for the bests, moses doesn't belong there, character wise and all.

Really disappointed at the way people are speaking about Vic Moses to be honest. They are even comparing him to Kalu. Imagine!!! When did Kalu even join SE sef. We are so quick to forget people who represented us. We don't give honour to whom it is due. Ever wondered why he retired? Why are we like this? Same way we dissed Nacho, and the Chukwueze that is receiving praises now will be sacrificed on the slaughter table soon once he messes up. Vic Moses has his bad side but I believe he can add to the team. Someone even said he would be choosing matches. Least we forget, okocha was once choosing matches. No need to disrespect our former heroes. The newbies are also watching.
Vicmo's gimmicks as it concerns the eagles is well documented. His proclivity to select games to play for Nigeria especially during qualifiers away from home, is no news. To me, musa deserves more eulogies

no no to you but you can't change anything if victor decides to come back to the team. he is an experienced player and his return to the team will help in molding the younger ones who will learn from him in the team.
God forbid the bolded. Vicmo is no role model. Imagine Chukwueze learning how to pick games to play for Nigeria, from Vicmo, or Iwobi and Ndidi learning how to feign injuries to skip Eagles matches in favour of their club careers from him.

Please, coming to help mold our younger players should be the least reason to bring back Moses. Dude is a bad influence mbok

No he was unattached when he attended Leicester trials. Reports even had it that he tried out with Birmingham City.

There NO record of him playing for Chelsea’s youth team although a Chelsea player.
And he had those stints without a work permit? He has no work permit yet the English clubs never considered sending him out on loan like Arsenal did with Nwakali, Liverpool with Awoniyi, ManCity with Chidi Nwakali, Yaw Yeboah etc?

Now this is a paradox.

So many dismiss players who are in lower leagues and clubs. Even when they are the outstanding players in that league.

The NFF should be engaging them now not when they blow. It's not rocket science.

As l always say rather have a Lion who is killing it in a lower league than an anonymous mouse who is being killed in a higher club and league.

Aribo is being looked upon by EPL clubs and Bundesliga clubs too. Maja has already made an unspoken agreement with a EPL club. What we are witnessing is simple Maradona football posturing and politics.
Until they make the moves, I am not inviting them to the national team. grin

On a more serious note, I want Maja, Aribo, Eze, Ejaria, Ojo et al in the March squad to face Seychelles

I don’t think his problem is based on performance. I THINK it’s working permit related. He was signed by Chelsea, and there was also no updates. If he was that bad Leicester won’t have signed him. He attended trials, didn’t he?
Habid never had any work permit ish. I dont know how they circumvented that rule buh I think he was already playing for the Chelsea youth team before he left for Leicester

Absolutely. Samu's positioning is still very very suspect, some times standing in the right spot saves you from having to beat a player, simple stuffs that make a whole lot of difference at Barcelona
Haaa and ur point is Chukwueze's positioning? Bros do u know why Messi never liked playing alongside Dembele, before now? Do u know why Dembele found it hard to fit in till lately? The complains and reasons given by his teammates and coaches were his poor positional sense and decision making.

Dat said, when Chuks is caught up in a bad position, he conjures some improvised pieces of skills to wriggle outta the tight corner, hence, he easily beats his marker to save a situation. In other words, what he lacks with his positioning, he makes up with his impact dribbles. Please, can same be said of Dembele? Dembele only has his pace, which Chuks is also a match.

Dembele is not that suited to Barca style ,but the big deal is that he is getting the goals and assists .

Coming from a Barca fan .
In other words, Chukwueze is best suited to the FC Barcelona system than Dembele is. Barca thrives in both individual brilliances and general team work(the passing game) which Chuks typifies, hence Chuks would do well in a Barca shirt, if given the chance.

He is the best youngster in the Laliga today.

Just because Chuks turned you to a barbers chair doesn't mean you should turn your back on football. Look at what Samu did to the real Marcelo sef, he won't retire. So any wannabe Marcelo shouldn't lose confidence. Meanwhile I think Nigeria should make a move on Josh Maja if the BBC rumors I am reading is true about the many suitors he is having.

I wonder why nothing is said about his situation. He is a great juggler no doubt. He played a part in only one match at the U-17 WC in 2013. That was the group game versus Mexico, and he was quite decent.
He was/is a good ball juggler, thats all. Good jugglers most times are bad ballers.

ESPN hype?

DF Sergio Ramos, 7 -- Won't have enjoyed being nutmegged by his former Spain teammate Cazorla early, but did especially well when helping out Marcelo against emerging starlet Chukwueze. Got his customary booking for jumping with arm raised against Villarreal sub Carlos Bacca.

DF Marcelo, 5 -- Turned much too easily as Chukwueze created the opening goal, and never really got close to the razor-sharp Nigerian for the remainder of the game.
The bolded is orgasmic chai!!!
