Icon4s:

Ademola Lookman and Solanke with their 2017 forms would make that Villareal team. Samuel Chukwueze in his current form would not have made the starting 11 of Everton or Chelsea of 2017. Laye-laye. Maitland-Niles was already getting a couple league games for Arsenal and was playing in most Cup games. Same with Sheyi Ojo at Liverpool. Edjaria featured more in Cup games for Liverpool. Chukwueze couldn't have broken into the starting 11 of Arsenal and Liverpool of 2017.
Bottom Line is Chukwueze cannot be said to be above the U20 game level. Please can u give me the stats of those players prior the world cup? Compare it with that of Chukwueze today. I repeat, before that world cup, Ejaria, Solanke, Tomori, Ojo, Gray, Niles didn't do more for their respective clubs than Chuks has done this season and they were no match for Chukwueze. Ojo really? Bros u really wanna compare Ojo's form before the world cup to Chukwueze's today? Chuks of today would send the then Ojo of Liverpool to exile. With all due respect my big bro, u goofed here. The only player who was as good as this Chuks, was exempted as an exceptional talent, and his name is Rashford. |

Icon4s: First Bolded, Samuel Kalu, Iwobi and Musa can all play from the right. Chukwueze has not done anything worthy of note in the SE for us to say we will miss him at the AFCON. Wetin him don play? Which highlight of his game in the GWG do you have? That was how we were shouting "Onyekuru, Onyekuru" upan dan here last year. In the games he played for the SE how far? All the wingers u mentioned have nothing on Chuks on the right wing. Only Kalu can try to give him a run for his money there, buh we all know Kalu does better playing from the left wing. Musa has never been useful as a winger let alone the right wing. Keshi had to bench his ass in 2013 bkus he cudnt do no jack playing from the right wing. |

Icon4s: Can Villarreal that is battling relegation be compared with any of the Top 8 English teams? Can Chukwueze make starting 11 in Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Man United, Liverpool, Mancity or even Everton? These were the clubs majority of those boys were in then. And they were already getting a couple of minutes in the EPL and in some cases full 90minutes in Cup games. Big lie bro, big lie Most of those players wouldn't start for this struggling Villarreal team and Chukwueze of today would be in and around the first team corridors of those clubs u mentioned. Reel out the names of those players and place them side by side with Chuks, then tell me something. Ojo, Solanke, Ejaria, Tomori et al, were not as good as Chuks is today, before they embarked on that world cup journey |

Icon4s: The U20 has always been a spring board for young professionals. But if you have a young professional who is a starter already in his club it doesn't mean he should be excluded from the U20 level. As long as he falls within the age bracket he is still within the U20 level. Why didn't Argentina stop Messi and Aguero from playing in the U20 WCs back then? See ehn Sir Pee, I understand the angle u coming from, buh do we have a better winger to handle that right wing for the super eagles at the AFCON? Yes Chukwueze aint above the U20 tourney, age wise, buh he is ripe for the super eagles already. The question now is, where is his services needed the most, and what stage would most benefit both the nation and the boy's career? When ghana won it, a certain Andre Ayew was playing for both the senior national team of Ghana and the satellites. I wish Chuks could combine the two just like Ayew did sha |

I will always stand by the truth. Truth be told that English team was loaded with quality exposed youngsters. komekn: They need to be cutting it at thier parent clubs and showing quality or playing U20 will amount to nothing for both the SE and themselves.
You can't push your professional career on youth football. It's a stepping stone to announce your potential not much more.
Potential not nurtured developed and enhanced will sadly fade away and be forgotten.
When you look at most top countries some of thier players have had 2/3 seasons of first team football. That's progression. Can u answer this question below? tbaba1234: How many of the players in the last England under 20 had played a full premier league season. How many were starters in the premier league? How many were making waves in the premier League and other top leagues? Even Pogba's all conquering 2013 U20 set were made up of prospects with less professional experiences. I could remember laughing my ass out whenever Sabaly(now plays for Senegal) was on the ball trynna do a Marcelo from his full back position. When Cedric Bakambu, Gael Kakuta, Alex Lacazette and co beat us blue black in 2011, they were nothing professionally and that tourney went a long way to give shape to their professional careers. |

Of all those supposed countries with players already established club wise, who has a player better than Chukwueze? Thirdly, can u name one player from England who has played up to 3 professional seasons in the top leagues and still eligible for the U20 tourney? Finally, this season, Kingsley Michael has won more MOTM awards professionally than all the players eligible to rep England in the next U20 tourney. Can u beat that? |

bobobooge: Lost by 3 - 1
Chukwueze is way above that team. He was the best but they rarely gave him the ball and he had to spend the better part of the game defending.
When he scored he did not jubilate but ran to remind his team mate hugging the ball to hurry up.
It is clear the boy is a winner but his team is letting him down. They are full of schoolboy errors. Even the coach is suspect. Last two games before this, dude didn't play up to his standard, and the shameless hungry hawks in here were already stretching out their dirty claws. Suddenly, they have all gone back to their smelly filthy caves(nests). Chuks is class and will never be short of suitors, should Villarreal fail to beat the drop. |

andrew444: I agree with you ,but I don't think Moses will sit on the bench ,maybe Roy want to do change of information ,maybe Moses will play as a wing back .moses can never bench that kid aaron wan bissaka, that boy is good
Mikel will play as he don't need much running ,mikel is similar to that their penalty specialist captain ,Milvojevic Moses can only do well as a wing back. Roy reverting to 352 formation to accommodate Moses automatically knocks out CP's three best players Zaha, Townsend and Bissaka. I doubt Roy would risk them for Moses. Like I said earlier, Moses would be a squad member at best. None of these three (Zaha, Townsend and Bissaka) will sit for him. To me, Moses moving to CP is irrational |

Alfryd: Crystal Palace want to sign Nigeria wing-back Victor Moses, 28, on loan from Chelsea and are also keen on former Stamford Bridge midfielder Jon Obi Mikel, 31. The Nigeria midfielder is a free agent after leaving China's Tianjin Teda. (Teamtalk) Check this out; And Moses will be out of favor at Crystal Palace too. Andy Townsend has the right side on the lock down, that young chap with jaw breaking name(Aaron Wan Bissaka) has the right back sealed up. If Moses goes there, he is coming as a squad member. Unless maybe the left side. Mikel if true, is also dicey, Kouyate seems to have found his rhythm, but I am seeing Mikel in a more advanced role, otherwise another squad acquisition. Roy na typical English coach who will demand 90mins running from his players. I am sure they both know this. Does Mikel still have those lunges? Cc Oloye |

Really crazy how some African countries handle their youth teams especially when it concerns players of dual nationalities.
Presnel Kimpembe, the best CB U20 in the whole of Europe, was a one time Congolese youth International, how they let that jewel slip through their fingers is heart breaking.
Aaron Wan Bissaka, one of the best RB U20, in the world today, was also a one time Congolese youth International, and he almost is lost to England just like Kimpembe was lost to France. Abeg wetin DRC FA dey smoke? |

Icon4s: I have raised this issue before.
Not only Centre backs but even Full backs. The last LFB that rose through our youth system were Echiejile and Kingsley Madu. Stanley Amuzie was from U23. But where are Madu and Amuzie today?
At RFB, Musa Mohammed was given that position on a platter of Gold but he was found inadequate. Now asides Musa Mohammed who was the last Right Back from our Youths system? My mind can go as far back as Adefemi of the 2005 U20. It was lack of quality RB options that made Keshi convert Ambrose to a RB.
Dele Adeleye, Onyekachi Apam and Efe Ambrose were fine CBs that Siasia's 2005 U20 produced. Kenneth Omeruo (U17 & U20), Kingsley Madu and Wilfred Ndidi were defenders under John Obu's U20. And of course Ndidi was also a CB under Manu. But he now plays as a DM.
Largely Manu and Amuneke's defenders have not progressed well. Some of them u don't even hear of them again. Not even in the NPFL or NNL.
The onions now lie on Paul Aigbogun and the U23 coach to raise capable defenders (especially CBs) to immediately push for places in the Super Eagles. While we wait and see how Manu's U17 team will turn out. Else we are in for hard times in the defense. Honestly it is alarming. That was why I was all out for the German guys back then. I can still remember ur words, "guy no worry, even if they don't come, it is no biggie, nature has a way of taking care of things" that made me pretend I wasnt worried all this while. Av bn waiting for that nature, ever since oo. How I so envisaged a partnership of Akanji and Awaziem in the heart of Eagles defense, with the German guys(Toru and Uduokhai) looking in from the bench. Kingsley Madu is one guy I had high hopes on after watching him under Obuh, beats me how he turned out a total fiasco |
