komekn: Because thankfully he is out of the U20 set up , is having issues with his club Villa and he has the Brazilian Douglas Luiz to displace.
There are too many good quality better midfielders in England at that moment.Foden, Bellingham, Palmer, Rice,Calvin, etc
His best bet is the SE The boy is obviously talented and the little issues he is having now is transient. I doubt he would wanna dump England for Nigeria. We can approach him no issues but I already know what his answers would be, especially from his minders. "My client is open to rep England and Nigeria, but for now, we are focused on sorting out his club situation, then we can decide when the time is right" Trust me, once that club situation is sorted, he gets reinstated into the England youth system, and the rest is history. We have been here before, hence the rise of any player not raised here in Naija doesn't move me anymore. |

komekn: First of all, let me quote you verbatim,
We have our own proven way of getting getting quality players thru the production line and that is the youth team.
In addition to get context the examples you gave Taribo, Kanu ,Okocha, Babayaro, These players went literally straight to first team football in Europe from the Nigeria local ⚽ league.
VO went from a local football academy in Nigeria avia National u17 football accolades.
These are two dramatically different pathways, during the period of Taribo players went straight from local clubs to European clubs not ACADEMY. For example Amokachi ,Keshi, etc.
VO arrived at Wolfsburg as a youth player into the academy, same followed for Awoniyi, KC, Nwakali, etc. Where they began to be reducated, developed, taught and train to become professional footballers.
So please 🥺 what is the PROVEN WAY ❓ Oh VO got re-educated at Wolfsburg but you made it seem he was a failed pro from Nigeria. So all those while you were talking down on him, you knew he was still learning the ropes? |

komekn: Thank you 👍🏿
I really don't know why Tim Iroegbunam was not invited. Dude is an exceptional player.
He now caught up in football financial politics, Villa lost Carney Chukwuemeka and don't want to loose Tim Iroegbunam.
And are restricting his game time to force him into a long term contract. Tim Iroegbunam would jump at the chance to play for Nigeria he is off the radar.
As a player he will dominate the midfield, accurate long & short passing, serious physicality with pace and technical ability and tackling with added Aerial dominance he can't be less than 6' 3'. Answer these simple questions like a mature man who knows his left from his right; Is Iroegbulam rated by the handlers of the English youth system? If yes, what makes you think Iroegbulam would want to trade a path that leads to the 3lions for a place in the SE midfield? |

AndSunGorilla: @Charlesemeka85. Charlee, you think Olise would really help Utd? Is it true that Casemiro wants to leave? Is this job bigger than Ten Häag??
Maazi Emeka, meanwhile this our midfield for AFCON still be worry me. If we go all the way, am not sure someone like Onyeka can play the whole tournament without getting injured. Alhassan and Iwobi sef get their perennial injury issues, perhaps am overthinking? We need at least one more midfielder in that team just so we don't overwork Onyeka and Iwobi or any 2 MFs JP will start with. Man don't you think this is so petty trynna rat out a fellow or you think we don't know what you did there? |

charlesemeka85: Baba I don’t regret not having the duo of Tomori and Abraham but just saying that the former deserves a place in the English squad. He is too good for not getting a look in by southgate and would hv been a household name in international football if he played for us our Canada 🇨🇦 He doesn't see it that way, so it is a waste of energy feeling bad for him. |

charlesemeka85: na Tomori own Dey vex me pass
That guy is too good and should be a household name in international football. Even if he didn’t want to play for us he would hv played for Canada
The guy matter dey vex me That is where you guys get it wrong. To them, it is not about the playing time, it is rather about the badge and the honour that comes with the tag "a 3lion player or an ex of it". They don't care if what they get is just a minute in a friendly match. They are so passionate about the badge, so you guys should rest because Tammy and Tomori are already satisfied with the little opportunities they have gotten. They would rather those few minutes with england in the euro league than world cup appearances with an African team. North Africans find it a bit easier to get their boys from Europe because of their Arabic/Islamic belief. |

It is 2024 and some of y'all still wallow in delusion. What ever makes you think one of the most important players of the English youth set up would abandon that path that leads to the 3lions for a place in the super eagles set up.
We have been here multiple times and we know the results.

Joebie: 3 Things I want to see after Jpes is gone:
1. Adarabioyo coming to us 2. Integration of Alhassan and Nwakali 3. Solving our Goal Keeper problems once and for all. The solutions are there. We need a coach to put in the work. Getting Adarabioyo to pair Bassey should be the first thing after the AfCon, if we really want to get hold of that first position in our world cup qualifiers group. |

daveP: The best news of the year for Nigerian sport. Only a trophy win can eclipse this. I hope those old bags don ruin the mood.
Ghana going to Afcon with twice the size of our midfield. Says alot about how our coach and nff thinks. Smh Your second paragraph isn't entirely true because Ghana listed their wingers/wing forwards as midfielders. That said, JP should leave this team as soon as the AfCon is over because I can't just get why he decided to go with 25players when he could take 27 |
