elampiro: Casilas is past it jor.
Verane is worse than Jones and Smalling. Although he's still young. Ramos is the only defender there. That's why I'm not in support of getting any other young defender, they're not better than what we already have. |

elampiro: Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker believes Angel Di Maria should leave Old Trafford to be the "player he was before" and suggested Arsenal or Chelsea would suit the Argentine best. "The only way it is going to work out for Di Maria, the only way he is going to get back to being the player he was before, is to move on, "The way things are going at Manchester United, he is not going to progress as a player because the team are playing horribly and you can’t see how that situation is going to change. "PSG would suit him nicely, as would going back to Real Madrid. "In England, Arsenal are the best fit for the way they shift the ball around quickly in midfield, but even Chelsea would be a better home for him than United as they are a bit more expressive now, while United have gone from being one of the most flamboyant teams in the Premier League to being in the bottom half of the table for excitement." [Source: Eurosport, Express] Just like how good Ozil has been. United must be the reason he copped red, was falling around like a toddler and can't use chances created for him well. Di maria is another player with fluctuating form which everyone knows. |

coogar: he used to be aggressive, assertive & dominant with the ball. i saw none of that. hopefully, we would see rafael back in the RB position. valencia actually played well yesterday until he was put in a tight spot to make a pass by the idïotic jones. Yes Valencia did ok with the ball yesterday but had a hand in the 2 goals we conceded. He left his position and moved into the midfield(I was even asking myself if his position has been moved to the midfield) that gifted Nacho( a LB) all the space in the world to score. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by chrisley024(m): 11:03am On Mar 10, 2015 |
coogar: i dunno why you guys are blaming everyone else. phil jones caused the defeat. he's the most worthless, gutless & most möronic player we have ever signed. all was well before he came on. yes, valencia & di maria shoulda done better for the first goal but arsënal worked the ball well & that was a deserved goal for their brilliance.
it was when jones came on that the panic attack started. he's so useless, he treats the ball like ebola. he had all the time in the world to clear the ball from szczesny. he cheated it far to an area that was marked by sanchez - valencia didn't want that ball at all......& he was the one that told valencia to pass the ball back to de gea.
in the games he has missed in recent times, we won without grave errors at the back. he looks like moyes, he probably has the moyes genes of failure in him. he should be shot for giving arsenal that victory. i cannot blame LVG for individual errors like that of jones.
his luke shaw sub was spot on----shaw was getting rapëd by oxdale. rojo went there & removed oxdale completely out of the game. the only flaw was letting jones come on to the pitch. if you leave jones in your house for 3 mins, he would burn it to the ground. i don't see anything wrong he did in the game but his badluck i can't explain. |

Leyqute: DI MaRIA is coming good. He just needs to adjust to the EPL, this is only his maiden season. I blame LvG for the loss. Why make 2 subs when everything was going fine? the sub made the defense nervous. He observed tat Rojo was rough in the LCB position and could possibly get a red card. That was why he made the change, but it disrupted the defense. Even Jones sef no sabi play the RCB reach smalling. If we didn't give a cheap goal like that we'd v won. Arsenal weren't threatening us at all. Giragira lo n se LvG yen.
I'm not scared of the upcoming fixtures...if only the players show the expected reaction against Tottenham.
LvG is a crayman Coming good with what he served us yesterday is it the falling around like a toddler and the silliest red card I've seen? |

elampiro: We will still need a midfielder who can effectively travel with the ball. We keep seeing Smalling and Phil Jones burst some tens of yards with the ball down into the final 3rd, something Blind, Herrera and Carrick can't do. No, I believe it's more of instructions from the coach to the midfielders to always keep the ball. Just take a look at how Herrera has stopped forward passes and now does sidway passes to Valencia. As for Di maria, I'm yet to see what he does for this team except to waste possession with his crosses, passes and dancing around. When a 20 yr old boy(Januzaj) is stronger on his feet than the 60mill player then you know we've been scammed. Nani would have done better with the chances he got yesterday. I wish he's given up to 10 match ban, afterall our best form this season was when he was injured. |

elampiro: So someone can blame Jones for tonight? Jones has no single blame tonight. Among all the defenders he was the only one who had no error. Smalling could have had two errors, even Jones had to rescue one of the situations.
Too bad Valencia couldn't complete that pass. When you pass to the goalkeeper, you can as well chase the ball backward and help to shield out any error.
The substitution of Herrera proved costly. But the idea was understandable. Without the error leading to that goal, we had actually successfully neutralize Sanchez and Oxlaide.
Fellaini can't play beyond 45 minutes. He resort to playing rough when he gets tired.
Di Maria final balls/decisions did not just work well. It's look like he is in for a long ban.
Januzaj over does things. The players are not ok with the new formation in the 2nd half. You can see the frustration through their many fouls and on their faces. Herrera that was better than Blind in the 1st half was subbed just to keep his fellow country man. |

sirlaw2: Ander Herrera wins ManUtd.com Player of the Month for February... Ander Herrera is delighted to get his hands on the ManUtd.com Player of the Month award for February and fully focused on making sure it’s the first of many trophies with Manchester United. The Spanish midfielder stormed to victory in the online poll, claiming 76 per cent of the votes ahead of Marcos Rojo (14 per cent) and Chris Smalling (10 per cent). Herrera spoke exclusively to ManUtd.com and MUTV about his accolade as he reflected on a positive last month for the Reds. “This means a lot for me because the votes came from our fans and I’m very happy and grateful to them,” he said. “I think they value my work and my passion for playing and I want to try to keep helping the team. I was happy [with my form] but I would have been even happier if we had won against Swansea away. We won four games last month and now we have to continue that – we are in the top four and we want to be there until the end of the season.” The 25-year-old says he felt “affection” from the United fans as soon as he arrived and is grateful for their continued support. “I think they like players who work a lot and who play with passion. They have always shown me affection from the first day and I am very grateful,” he added. “I always say this - I feel very lucky to be a Manchester United player and I will always be the same – I want to try to play with passion, work hard and help the team. My dream is to achieve trophies with Manchester United – I will not stop until I achieve that.” So no Jones |

elampiro: As for me, Rooney stretched the defence well enough today. Apart from not slotting into the net, he did every other thing excellently well. One of his offside call could have been onside some other days. That happened because he was stretching the defence. Also, I saw him calling for the ball while alone with the centre vack but Fellaini and co prefered other options. That's football, players make decisions within split seconds. Overall, Rooney made genuine bite on the defence while holding and creating with the ball. His 90% pass accuracy, his on and off the ball movements and dribblings were commendable.
As for Valenvia, another good performance. Again he come top of our pass accuracy despite being one of our highest passers. He could have had a good assist if Fellaini knew how to head with power like Drogba does. He also doesn't always go to his right anymore. He did his job as a left back and as an 'overlapping defender'.
Evans seems to have finally find his feet. He was our best defender today.
I just wish we finish top 4. May God help us achieve it. Amen. Yeah! Unfortunate no one here saw that today. Not cool |

pazienza: A Newcastle goal from penalty in that first half would have changed the course of that game, and with a yellow card and in bad book of the refree, smalling effectiveness would have been reduced to avoid a second yellow and red card.
That Penalty was the turning point of that match, only Man United can get away with such decisions in England, and it speaks volumes, as the refree was right at the scene of the crime. Either you're trolling or you've not been watching EPL games this season. |

elampiro: It's dicey. And it's not the time to scatter the team with undue changes. I will want Rojo dropped from left back due to his lack of pace. He is the only defender without pace and he exposed us today. Since our midfielders are not the fastest or strongest, we need our defenders to be fast (speeding).
Oppositions mostly try to outpace us with little of the ball they see. Rojo is actually playing Left-CB not LB and I won't suggest Shaw playing there since he lacks qualities of a CB |

SailorXY: Herrera & Blind is the best CM combination we have. Carrick should nyash down because he will resume his 'stand-at-a-spot-receive-and-release-ball' style.
Blind & Herrera are not the fastest players, but their synced mobility (and Herrera's agility) compliments the midfield. once a pace&pawa midfielder joins them maybe next season, that midfield will be one of the best in Europe Well, I don't think it was a coincidence our biggest wins were with Carrick |
