Last night was horrible and disjointed,but at least we won and put three points in the bag. It isn't the fact that our play is disjointed and uninspiring but that the players appear not to understand the tactics or can not express the tactics on match days. And the most annoying thing is Van Gaal just sits there clutching his clipboard and scribbling heaven knows what,instead of going to the touch line to dish out instructions to his players.

Smalling was poor at the defence last nite bt Evans,the worst. Rooney, Rooney infact LVG should make the bold step and play Mata instead of him next.

Mata doesn't have the physical strength to partner Blind in that midfield.

Rooney's problem is that he lacks the creativity needed for a midfielder. I can close my eyes and predict correctly what he did with the ball.

Using 3 at the back limits the movement and makes the team more predictable.

rooney shouldn't have headed the ball at all then. he made an assist to kouyate. if you are going to touch the ball, go hard with it and put it out of the danger area. rooney did more damage by touching the ball, west ham wouldn't have scored had rooney missed the ball completely.

rooney's incompetence gets worse and worse the more you look at the goal we conceded. phil jones shouldn't be starting for us. smalling-rojo partnership secure us better than clueless jones.

I blame Jones more for the goal. He just can't read games and lacks concentration. Look at the way he left his position, went and collided with Rooney; which distabilized Rooney and put him behind Kouyate. He would have challenged Kouyate if he had remained where he was.

Just watch our defence and you will always see him ahead of his partner.

What I can't understand about this dominating possession and no end result from the strikers. Falcao keeps falling all over the place. The goal he missed is suposed to be bread and butter to a striker of his "class". And he has to hit the damn target and at least make the keeper Adrian work.

Van Persie too missed a sitter he should be putting away but at least he forced a save from the keeper.

And why doesn't Louis Van Gaal ever get off his fat arze and come to the touch line to organise or reorganise his team?All coaches do it except him and it reeks of arrogance.

if rooney cannot play as a striker, he shouldn't be in the team. it's that simple. we lose a lot of urgency with his nonsense diagonal ball. when west ham had their breaks, they hit straight balls to sakho & valencia.... when united countered, rooney keeps playing nonsense diagonal & backward passes.

I always feel like puking anytime we are attacking and he backs the 2 CFs and pings it to the right which allows the opponent defence to settle. What then is the need for the 2 CFs or is he too dull to learn we're no more doing a flat 4-4-2
