chris smalling is starting to find his feet though. if he gets a run of 12 games without injuries or bench time, he might hit his peak this year.

it's funny how ashley young has completely turned into a beast. he's our second best player this season after de gea. fellaini, young & smalling have improved massively under LVG.

If he can't stay fit in a league where Robben has managed to stay fit then it's a very big risk getting him.

They weren't attacked really to assess him well. PSG played all the ball. He looks like a calm defender to me though more like Rio than Vidic. T.Silva was more noticed. He's not better than what we've.

What we need is an experienced CB to bring leadership and organisation at the back. His presence will bring out the best in our young defenders.

I think a bit of bench time will do Di Maria some good. He lacks discipline in his decision making and actions, playing like there is nothing at stake, making fancy and dangerous passes in his own half and generally being careless with the ball.
