first van Gaal should ditch that 3-5-2. we still need pace & directness up front to finish teams off like we had in Ronaldo, Park, Tevez, Rooney, Nani of the glorious era.
Rooney's pace is no longer exactly bursting, only di Maria offers raw pace & trickery going forward for us & I don't think only he is enough.

And we still have Young, Valencia, Nani and Januzaj. C'mon, unless we release 3 of these players.

Cos we've more pressing issues in the defence. Bale won't make our unbalanced team(like LvG will always say) balanced.

Weak defence reduces the effectiveness of the attack since they would do more defensive jobs than they'd normally do.

I think the best sub should have been Mata for Di maria only. Removing RvP for Wilson was ridiculous. Wilson ain't Chicha. A poor RvP is still far better than that rookie
