I would have endorsed the legalization of this leave of life but for people like Slawormiir and NwaAmaikpe, they will take it to the extreme, Nairalanders will now be feeling major heats from them tongue tongue smiley

Business › Re: Firm Launches ‘water On Wheels’ Platform Which Allows Enugu Residents Get Water by christejames(m): 6:57pm On Nov 27, 2021
Hmmm

Commendable though, but Enugu city needs a comprehensive water generation and reticulation scheme that will channel water directly to households or at least streets and not this archaic means of supplying water.

Can't Ekulu river be damed, the reservoir treated and then supplied to the masses?

They are other rivers across the city and state that can be damed, Adada river is another major example with an already constructed dam but not completed.

If cities in the Middle-east can get potable water through desalination that takes quite a long process what stops us in the Tropical region with rivers around from damming and treating water for use?

I am not saying power should remain in the north but from the political calculations of the major parties by throwing their ticket open will lead to his emergence.

It's already sealed.

Education › Re: North Of Those Days by christejames(m): 9:31am On Nov 23, 2021
Nostalgic!

The crop of present leaders of the north seems to be more zealots than critical thinkers, safe for the negligible few.

The centralized political nature of the north where the masses agree to what their leaders say without dissent is now taking its toll on the region. Religion has now become a major tool to keep the masses subservient.

The north need reawakening, Saudi Arabia and other Islamic nations are gradually learning to separate religion from politics.
Politics › Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by christejames(m): 12:20pm On Nov 22, 2021
Cjrane2:
If they can make a residential estates law that every new estate should have a dual carriage main entrance.

Even if they can only tar one lane at present. But must have space for the second lane in the future. This will ensure that those areas are not congested and liveable when its fully built and populated.

Likewise, all new state roads within the Awka capital territory must be dual carriage roads. They should at least leave space for the second lane if it cannot be done as dual carriage at the present. Just like Chime ave. Was designed as dual carriage road in 1922, but the second lane was only added in 2009 without demolishing a single property!
That's how Abuja is, already planned...

Most major roads across the city are ten lanes or four carriages, so those building estates close to those roads already know their limit. For instance, the Apo road is four carriage but had been using one carriage ever since but just recently construction on the other carriages and bridges just commenced without any demolishing, the only demolition was just shanties used as makeshift markets for auto wares.

I just hope our major cities across south east will be planned for the future.

That's a very critical and logical question from the lecturer, by that question, the lecturer can easily guage and assess the individual performance of the student relative to the course.

Some Nigerian lecturers will soon adopt this method too.

This I have seen!

A group of people without leadership is described as a Mob.

Directionless. It's not something to be proud of, it's a sign of a primitive society.
We don't practice the kind of leadership you perceive. In Igboland, the people; Oha, is the leader what the people agrees on is final. In other circumstances, we have the oldest person amongst a kindred as a leader this is still practiced in Nsukka part of Igboland where there is the Onye-Ishi as leader, we have the first born son as a leader of a family, we have the age grade and so on... That's how the Igbos administer their leadership.

Politics › Re: OUK, Hated By Igbos, Loved By Nigerians by christejames(m): 8:20pm On Nov 20, 2021
One thing you guys have failed to understand is that Igbos are republican in nature, we don't practice centralized system of govt where the crowd follow what a leader says, in short, Igbo enwe Eze; meaning Igbos have no king...

That's why any politician or acclaimed leader in Igboland that didn't convince the masses in performance is always loathed.
