From the last thread https://www.nairaland.com/6856001/first-second-choice-president-2023, where we chose our preferred candidates for the Presidency yesterday, today let's give convincing reasons our candidates should be adopted. 2023 is around the corner and very soon electioneering activities will kick off earnestly, as Nigerians who still believe that the country can be changed for better, let's make our views known to the world why other Nigerians should be convinced about our preferred candidates. Time for political docility is gradually phasing out, we saw it recently in Anambra. We can not just wait for the major political parties to select or impose a candidate for us, with our opinion poll here, it will go a long way in changing the ideologies of these parties. |
Forget Zombies will still part with some of their 30k stipend for him... The man has proselytized them. |
It's like everyone is tired of Gandollar in Kanawa... Abba Gida Gida 2023! |
Oh She meant UniSpag |
Better meat wasting In Calabar man's voice |
So people can still afford boiled egg? |
Let's catch some fun guys! Come and make a wish about the abnormal behaviors and activities that is gradually becoming normal in our society , your wish can only come to pass if it rains this dry season. Meaning these things will be hard to change. __________________ Make torrential rain fall this dry season if our police officers start dey dress neat like our Naval Officers. ![]()

Yes of course. Nairaland is a lovely place, through those corrections and corrections of others I have learnt to type and speak better than I used to... To the English Professors here I say keep it on. |
Nice one OBO... The emergence of Soludo as Anambra state governor seems to pull new wave into the polity of Nigeria. His emergence will give more eggheads like him the courage to vy for top shots across the country and not just wait to be appointed into governance. |
Umahi will defect back to PDP before 2023... This I have seen |
Congratulations once again Prof... Make an indelible mark in the political world of Nigeria for others to emulate. |
Maazi the Super Lion... More power to you. |
Have you sat down to think about why this party is fond of mingling with the worst set of politicians? I know all politicians are either Bad, Worse or even Worst but this party that claims to be progressive will rather choose the worst amongst all the candidates vying to be its flag bearer. For instance, the last runners up in the Edo governorship election or the latest second runners up in Anambra governorship election are notable examples. Their politicians that are currently wielding elective posts can not engage the media or masses on logical conversations apart from some negligible few with the prominent being Akeredolu.

Wiseman, he knows he had a good fight but seeing APGA coming out victorious he pitched his tent with the winning team... Who wan join losers before? |
APC eh! This party are just bereft of proper reasoning. So he should abandon public infrastructures because they were initiated by his predecessors? That's why Nigeria is the way it is, a new govt will just assume power and abandon critical infrastructures that would have improved the lives of the people just because they were not initiated by him; daft reasoning. |
SmartGadgetz:How is APC the best for Lagos? Won't take out the fact that the party has done some visible projects in the state but that is far below par when you compare a megalopolis of Lagos to its peers across the globe even earning lower in IGR then you will realize that Lagos is asphyxiating. |
Soludo-'follow peace'. The Easterners know better, APC can't give us that... |
This man is just yapping because of his father in law... Does APC as a party have a structure itself? Has the party done anything exceptional that will tilt the minds of an average easterner towards it? Just like some APC folks were taunting PDP to rebrand itself and change its name after losing the Centre of the country in 2015 which gingered PDP to rejig themselves and are now floating in the nation's polity, I see APC taking up that prophecy after 2023 ![]() This I have seen! |
He has always been a brainiac... Your excellency looking good. |
At last, this is soothing to hear... I think she should equally be the first female engineer from the north ![]() |
Where are the youths kwanu! You won't come out now to vote but once a despot makes it to the government house you will start organizing unnecessary protest here and there to show your virility. |
Things are just going out of control lately... Buhari, can you at least tow that path of honor by honorably throwing in the towel? Lai Mohammed, Amaechi, Adesina, Garba Nshiewu, that 'drunkress', and lately the nation's number one glutton have all been deceiving you that everything is in order. I know you won't see this because those people made sure the media communication around the precinct of Aso Rock is restored to the analog settings where you only get to know about things around your immediate surroundings. And it seems analog is your default settings May the souls of the departed find eternal Rest. |
Buhari's government can't remain stable na... We keep going up because the best is situated at the top. I will advice Buhari to attend a crash course on Economics Redevelopment at Baze University to hone his stills better on how to take us to the top faster, I bet he will graduate with First Class Upper.

Ministry of Bandits Affairs will look into the matter... for now our number one Chief Security Mai Guard (AKA Gate Man) is out of the compound for an International Gatemen Association Meeting. Thanks |
Damn! This man is really serious with this project, I thought it would be one of those abandoned projects but he is glaringly clearing my doubt. The project looks solid just like the one in Anambra, the firehouse looks grand, the terminal building looking imposing with a concrete based runway. It seems sense is finally returning to our Eastern Guvnors against cutting corners while delivering public infrastructures; Anambra and Ebonyi as a case in point. Ugwuanyi? Performing but for a state like Enugu, his performance is below par in public infrastructure. Ikpeazu? He is waking up lately at the twilight of his administration with the remodeling of the Aba markets, Completion of new government house, road construction across Aba and a few other specs but that state needs imposing infrastructure not those cosmetic ones above (except the mkt), Abia State is an old state for God's sake. Uzodinmma? Hmmmm, I can see his effort at road constructions and urban beautifications mostly Junction beautification but a state like Imo needs imposing infrastructure and not those Marykay ones. |
Na wetin go make people wey no go school go the one wey go help them naim I wan begin do... ![]() Like helping Buhari to secure admission at Baze University where I am sure he will graduate with First Class Upper ![]()

Oga Alex fear God na... Today is all saints and tomorrow is all souls but see what you are doing to this simple man, is it when his account is in red that you will advice him to pitch his tent with one of the major parties so as to be known and possibly gain political relevance through being elected as a representative? |
dettolgel:Jeeezzzzz Exactly, as if you are in my mind... That was what I observed while watching the debate |
mtisTheQubit:I actually love rugby, would love Nigeria to take it serious like football. |
So he couldn't even fulfill a simple campaign promise but he is promising to end insecurity by enlisting about 50million Nigerians into the army while feeding them staples like cassava... Senile dementia I think! |
Let me tickle the Kenyans here a bit... The Kenya rugby team walloped their Nigerian counterpart 60-0 what a way to teach neophytes lesson in your superior pitch game. https://gazettengr.com/cricket-kenyas-shujaa-defeat-nigerias-stallion-60-0-in-safari-sevens-tourney/

It's not about providing few medical equipment and writing a long epistle to convince the masses about your performance. Like NwaAmaikpe averred, I will take that statement of stopping foreign medical tourism serious when I see Buhari and Tinubu spending some few minutes there. |
