That's why I miss Sullivan of Enugu State... Throughout his eight years stay in the Lion Building, with his excellent performance on Urban Renewal you will never see him going to commission any project, no unnecessary fanfare, once a project is completed just start using it, most times it's even the contractors that signal to the public that they are done working so the public can start using their projects. No unnecessary fanfare to cut sud or inauguration of project, once the state executive council approves a project, the money is paid in full and construction commence immediately. I miss Sullivan for that! |
They just brought their secondary school mentality wholly into the university. Why can't they just stick to time of lecture to avoid actions like this? still playing truancy up to the university level. Well, they 100Level results will give them a big paradigm shift. |
God bless Oba Adeyeye Enitan, Ooni of Ile-Ife the chancellor of the great University of Nigeria, Nsukka. |
AfriqueDuZuid:Now I understand... Thanks! |
Almajiri and other destitutes have finally seen a new home and haven thanks to the great leader Ganduje for the foresight on infrastructural development because that is way better than human capital development which the Almajiris and destitutes need more... Just name the tunnel Muhammed Buhari to complete the circle of foolery. |
This useless govt and their cronies will keep showing the world how barbaric they are... |
Just the way their ultimate man has collapsed the country with every citizen scared of the possible crumbling of the country... |
APC has always believed in cutting corners, they are not cut out for true leadership |
Soludo's profile indeed is intimidating, no wonder other parties are doing everything to scuttle him out but the true Lord whom we serve will always be by his side... Soludo, come and make Ala-Igbo great! |
Congratulations GEJ. I keep pondering what Buhari will be remembered for when he leaves the seat of power, or which institution or agency will dare to make him their icon or 'mascot' so as to bring them good wishes? Things currently named after him barely performs or are grappling at straws, viz! *Muhammed Buhari international Market (Orange Market) in Mararaba, Nasarawa state, close to the FCT. People will rather choose to sell their goods on roadside than use the large empty space in that market. *Muhammed Buhari Flyover Abakaliki- according to traffic report, only about 50 keke napep, 18 motor cars, 3 trucks use that bridge daily. *Muhammed Buhari Road Owerri, I heard the road is one of the loneliest in the boisterous City of Owerri. *Muhammed Buhari Hospital Kano, I heard even paracetamol is a luxury there, doctors and other medical personnels together with people leaving around that hospital have turned the courtyard to an Eid praying ground (at least it's useful here). And lot more... Cc: NwaAmaikpe |
Congratulations GEJ I wonder what Buhari will be remembered for, or which institution or agency will make him their image when he leaves office. |
The region is truly the mighty dot in a circle... The nucleus and the most fundamental part of the cell call Nigeria, no wonder they don't want us to go, but give us what is truly ours to calm our nerves they feel jittery. |
This is impressive. Desmond Elliot should come and see another tormentor! It's seems PDP councilor women have a special way of getting funds to embark on capital projects that even some so called male LGA Chairmen of the same party are still grappling with. APC women?? "let me not go there" in Remi Tinubu voice. |
Of course, he is part of the cronies of this maladministration that is looking for possible ways to conceal his unaccounted wealth. Resting on fresh and younger laps always resets ones thinking and mindset. Tomorrow now, Alexreport will come to nairaland and be spamming us with how youth friendly this one is, and how he will uphold the Freedom of Information of average Deltan. |
Brother, Nsukka is no longer a Village but a rapid regenerating Urban Area. Nsukka Town serves as a pull centre for u rural-urban migration within the Nsukka Cultural Zone. |
oracle009:You are not ashamed to mention that misfit as an alumnus of such great school? |
Joziboi:Nice... Our govt should revisit the avenue of clean exploration like this... Well, that is until we have a responsible govt and not this present misfit. |
Joziboi:I don't get it, South Africa still explore and export coal? This is interesting. I would like to know where they export them to and what they are used for because I don't know why our own govt abandoned the exploration of coal. |
IGBOSON1:I don't know about the present state of Franco Hostels but what I know is that the new VC of UNN (also a super lion) is currently constructing some new male hostel structures behind the present Franco, it's a huge construction site when I passed there last year. Also, not just UNIZIK and OJukwu varsities are the varsities with private investors investing in school's accomodations, UNN has witnessed and still witnessing rapid development of private hostels around the school. Even the church is not spared here, the Catholic Girls Hostel outside the school but close to Franco with their magnificent chaplaincy has been around. The only problem with UNN is maintaining of her male hostels (note: female hostels are regularly maintained) and also concessioning of the dilapidated Zik Flats outside the school also close to Franco to private estate management to reconstruct, refurbish and lease out the facilities to students (preferrably to Post Graduate Student or pharmacy students) or make the facility exclusive for those that can afford. whenever I see those structures rotting away, I cring in annoyance. |
And that's just the simple truth and goes a long way in affirming the assimilating and developing nature of an average Igbo man. But alas! the Igbos are merged in a country that tries to inhibit their progress out of sheer jealousy and perceived fear of dominance. But what they keep failing to understand is that the Igbos are like dry seed cast away as weed but will eventually grow into a mighty oak to even shelter the one that cast her. Cc: NwaAmaikpe |
The VC is doing great, he is also constructing university stadium before beautiful gate, the contractor is Akiota construction firm from Awka Etiti, he is the one that built Unizik Library and Onitsha mall, I know he will deliver standard stadium for Unizik.
Akiota is a reputable construction company, most physical projects in UNN are undertaken by them; name them, stadium, faculty blocks, administrative blocks, roads, and so many... I love seeing them move their equipment around campus when I was in UNN, always wondered you own that company, was even thinking it's an appendage of UNN. |
Try Botswana or Namibia these are great countries contiguous to the xenophobic South Africa. You can make your money in Gaborone or Windholk then ball in Johannesburg or Cape Town for the weekend if you want to have a feel of SA... Those two countries are not overly aversive towards Nigerians. |
rvp2018:HOW IS the name change an African problem? |
Just30:interesting |
Who doesn't know our politicians are full bags of hypocrites that derives ecstacy from spewing trash... |
AfriqueDuZuid:This is a different scenario... I still don't grab your franchising analogy with Shoprite exit. |
kikuyu1:Create one |
rvp20182:Where did you get your info that MTN and Airtel are the two biggest telecom companies in Nigeria? Yes MTN is the biggest but... Nigerians have the majority stake in that company in the country that's why it is mostly referred to as MTN Nigeria. In order of hierarchy in Nigeria the telecom companies goes thus; MTN Nigeria (with Nigerians as major shareholders). Globacom (wholly owned by a Nigerian). Airtel (major stakes by the Indian). 9Mobile (former etisalat but now fully owned by Nigerian banks). We have other telecom companies that are wholly owned but can't compete with the big four above because their services are currently limited to few cities, the likes of ntel, Smile network etc. |
But here in Nigeria our religious society will rather remain stagnated than move with time or civilisation... We tend to profess the religion more than those that brought them here, self acclaimed puritans. |
