OyiboUgbo04:Wow! You did an excellent job Bro... why not open a separate thread for it so that the world will know how beautiful, tranquil and serene the Coal City state is... The pictures are breathtaking! I love the Coal City, and I know I'm not the only one cause the serenity of the city has evoked love which transcends beyond this continent of ours', through this little effort we are making on this thread. To put it more succinct, just take a look at the number of people that have viewed this thread (and still viewing) which is already clocking one million view (I think the highest or among the highest on nairaland). Even the thread where other African countries compete with each other in d*ck measurement (with more than a thousand pages), doesn't have this number of view. This shows how civil, urbane, and modern the people of Enugu are, and how the world is watching and growth and development. Oga Spyder880, I say a big well-done to you!! |
Lagos? and no Saudi Arabian city made the list?
yes! oppression of women also pose a great danger to them. |
May God grant her eternal rest. Amen! |
Thank you TSTV for taking their brains to the factory for a proper setting... But it's too late to bring that idea to Nigeria. |
Having such is not our problem, and I commend Wike for that. Our major problem is maintaining such or building on the once we already have... Take a look at that monorail bridge at the background of the last pix to understand what I'm saying better. Naija eh!! is like a spell is cast on us already and we need the Pope himself for a whole week exorcism to redeem us. |
It's not as if Okorocha is not performing or springing up projects across the state capital but the problem I have with his projects are the qualities and standard and he should try and extend the dividends of the government to other part of the state especially the hinterland... |
That's my guvnor! more power to your elbow. Just add a little more effort in your transformation of the state to make it quicker. |
Educative and interesting... But wait a minute, which person in their right sense will suck 11,000 oranges just to commit suicide? I rather allow wheelbarrow to 'jam' me than to commit suicide in such a way. Lalasticlala, what do you think? |
slimthugchimee:If well done it may even last longer than a asphalted with bitumen. That's what the use in inner streets of most European Cities like London, Munich, Berlin, etc. It's not meant to be plied on by heavy duty vehicles though... That's what UNN is using in landscaping her campus currently (the cobbled-like or German floor type). |
slimthugchimee:The road looks beautiful with the adjoining buildings like those in the middle east with their well cobbled laneway. I think interlocked and cobbled roads will cost cheaper to construct in inner roads like this, our govt should adopt this please. |
Okorocha is really good with propaganda... |
APC is the newest synonym for lie so I'm surprised you are shocked seeing that from them... |
beautiful pix so far. Enugu City just need a little pimping here and there to give it that world class look... Maybe it's time we've started the springing of highrise and skyscraper buildings. |
Post it here, and mind you, Coal City University, Eastern Palm University, and Rhema University should all make the list otherwise you give us the accurate basis for which the schools were ranked. |
ruggedized1:OK... I'm sorry for going against your opinion, please forgive me. Truce? |
ruggedized1:See painment! Anambra as a state has so much potential but has since been balkanised by bad leaders and comparing the development in that state with Enugu state is something deep down your heart you know which state is above the ladder. I leave your conscience to judge... |
After close observations and scrutiny I have come to the conclusion that this Obiano's govt is nothing short of a scam riddled with propaganda and political shenanigans. Therefore, I have jumped ship and switched by political allegiance to someone that is not just experienced in international governance but also a shrewd technocrat in the area of international politics; Oseloka Obaze. Ndi-Anambra, I'm using this medium to persuade you guys to bring in this gentleman which the state needs direly. Please, don't make the mistake you once made... I bet when saddled with the responsibility of the state, he won't just transform Anambra in the area of infrastructure but will make the state the next big thing after Lagos. |
She doesn't know that tweeting is also a way of reaching out to the young Americans like her that spend most times of their day on social media... I wonder what she will do or say if her president (Trump) is like Buhari. |
Better as you called it your personal list cause that list is already faulted from so many angles. I bet you haven't stepped out of that zone where you are staying to visit other schools from other regions... For putting schools such as UNIPORT, FUNAAB (although quite beautiful ), UNIBEN while neglecting and ignoring schools like UNN (with beautiful campuses at Nsukka and Enugu; not just a campus), UNICAL, and even MOUAU, Umudike, UNILORIN speaks a lot about how much you know about the current trend and development in Nigerian tertiary institutions. |
This is appalling to say the least. The guvnor should step up his game in earnest, if it means changing the commissioner of environment then so be it. We can't continue to move two steps forward and three backward... |
The ranking is somewhat acceptable by me but the one I'm finding difficult to stomach is that of Benue State University, that school notwithstanding its shortcomings is good but for their incessant endemic strike actions and also slow academic calendar makes me question that list... Kudos to the schools that made the list especially to ESUT, that school has been pulling a lot of weight these days. This can be noticed in her students giving those of the so called Federal Universities a good run for their money. Their major defect is regards their exorbitant school fees which the common man can hardly afford. |
Kcinho:This is serious... The last time I was in Uzo-uwani that bridge wasn't that bad. Gburugburu should beam his transformational light towards Uzo-uwani please, before the feeling of indignation sets in... I hope Songhai farm at Adani is still operational. |
Ninethmare:I love his agility and youthfulness plus virility. The 21st century monarch. #chancellorofmyalmamater (UNN). |

I don't entirely agree with that list because there is no genuine basis for rating these schools by you. Also I think some schools should have made that list while some schools on your list shouldn't have been there in the first place. I don't think Covenant University offers Law degree. moreso, Schools like ESUT, UNIZIK should have made that list cause these schools have one of the best Law school in the country. |
Maybe the mum tried removing the baby at the advanced staged of her pregnancy. Any medic in the house to explain this congenital deformity better? |
I love Dankwanbo for his giant strides and achievements here in Gombe, turning a lonely land in the savanna into a jewel... But arresting someone just for vilification? is no from me. I know he is not aware of this though! #OurnextPresident |
Laitesmart:Nah! |
Laitesmart:For now I stay in the Northern part of the country, Gombe precisely... |
I studied at the Prestigious University of Nigera, Nsukka (UNN). And yes, I will advice my kids to equally study there, if I have my way I will make sure they all did their undergraduate programs there, thereafter, continue with their Post Graduate studies abroad (if they choose to). A school where both children of the well-offs and those still struggling mingle with sparking brains and intellect. A citadel and fortress for the brainiacs... An institution sited on soft green hills with beautiful ambience and soothing weather. A school which only its anthem can make you clamor for its use as the National Anthem. A precinct filled with brainboxes with morals... An academic realm that her glory started in the middle of the 20th century still transcending this 21st century (its glory is evergreen). I can go on and on but all I'm trying to say is that I so much love that school. I can't trade her for another! Lalasticlala, Seun, Finestboi, mynd44 can we equally have your inputs. |
Did you read this article before posting it here? @OP... It seems the text was written in a foreign language probably French and translated into English. I overworked my brain trying to decipher what you meant in each paragraph. Nevertheless, aspirants to the great citadel of learning (UNN ), need not be afraid or perplexed cause the school and Nsukka as a town is a nice and a hospitable place which has permeated the minds of the students and dwellers. Just be rest assured that any mind boggling question from you when you get to the town will be answered with all friendliness. Good luck guys!!! |
Congrats to her!!! ...hope she blazed the trail over there? |
