The indegines of this state have been hapless and unfortunate when it comes to electing an active and workaholic government. Thanks to the hegemony of the Tivs towards other nations in the state... I have spent most part of my life in this state and most times when I think about governance in this state I shake my head in dejection. Is it the deplorable roads that now have gorges inbetween all over the state or the inefficient and poor facilities in the public hospitals or is it the neglected public schools. Where does one start from in reeling out the numbers of inefficiencies by the government. This state and her neighbor Kogi seems like they have a spell cast on them. I pray they find their way out of this abyss of bad government. |
Wow! This is enlightening. Didn't know our soldiers had the knowledge of ceasefire which they even adhered to... Football is not just a game that unites Nigeria but our way of life. |
Holy Jugs!!! ...if she likes it that way. meanwhile some so called slay queens are here searching for the latest bleaching cream to use. |
That's nice thing to do. It's the dream of every male child that grew up in the hands of pains and toils of their mum to wipe away the tears of hard labor from their mum's face. Mums are golden creatures to the male child (being selfish here LOL). |
Obiano is actually on top of infrastructural growth in that state. He seems to be poised for the best... |
I'm tired of Nigeria, going to Sambisa to buy some hectares of land to start my own country there... |
The only naughty thing I could think of now, not naughty per se, happened during my SS1 class. My school has a farm where we all do our agric 'practicals', we were told to bring about 5 yam seedlings each for planting. I and my twin (clone) agreed not to bring any. The next day, the dude went behind my back to bring 3 seedlings which he presented to the master incharge when he came around for collection. So those of us that didn't bring any where told to kneel in front of the class while my Bro was told to kneel separately from us cause his own wasn't complete. Na so the man begin dey intensive flogging with my Bro. He was whipped about 5 intense strokes at the back. Na so I begin shiver cause I despise being flogged thinking about the numbers of lashes that will land on me since I didn't bring any. But the funniest part is that, he flogged the other students kneeling thesame amount. When he finally got to me, he asked me if I was the one that provided the 3 seedlings. I shook my head in affirmation, he then whipped me 3 subtle strokes. Immediately he walked out, My classmates started laughing at my brother. He couldn't even utter a word as I agree to the man's question. |
Why should shame be upon them? are you not in Nigeria? don't you know that in this country there are categories of thieves and unfortunately Evans falls into the big category, that's why the show... |
Thank God he has finally left their captivity. But when is our law enforcement agencies going to start heeding to court orders of prompt release? |
That scorpion is big man! I have never seen such a huge creeping insect before... If that one stings someone it will take the kind of medication administered to someone bitten by a snake to relief the pains and clear the venoms'. Lalasticlala, Hope you also find the size of this insect fascinating. |
It can only happen in Naija. This is what our government can learn or copy from each other but will never copy positive developments happening around the globe. When Fayose did his' I knew something like this one is also brewing. |
That state needs urgent intervention and miracle. The government keep playing nonchalant attitude towards everything... it's just so bad. |
I think they are all acronyms and not abbreviations. Besides, Modem should be; Modulator -Demodulator. Thanks for sharing! |
Lovely write ups so far. I'm enjoying the conversations, keep them coming perhaps the government will listen through this medium and at least implement some of the ideas stipulated here... |
This world is becoming more unsafe to live in. Why would someone take such callous act on a single family? May the Lord fight for the family and make the perpetrators meet their own untimely demise. RIP to the angels! |
It's good to learn or borrow a leaf from your working neighbor. I only wish this goes beyond gimmicks cause Benue as a state is in dearth of basic infrastructure. A drive through the busy town of Otukpo will leave you wondering whether there is government in the state. |
Sweet memories... |
spyder880:when are we going to get updates on the centenary city project or is the project stalled already? ...i hope Heliu estate will replicate what the have as prototype or rendering. Thanks Bro. |
Those at the helm of affairs of the country are doing little or nothing to promote the potentials of the country. Even most Nigerians are ignorant of certain places in the country how then do you want a foreigner who hasn't stepped their foot in the country be convinced that opportunities abound herein... the media itself is not helping matter! Seun, Lalasticlala, can we also have your contributions. thanks! |
Our leaders keep playing politics with everything no matter how minute that thing may seem. We as a country is still blinded my ethnic divisions, hate, and clannishness to even have a foresight for such magnificent project that will ease the movement of the populace within the country... Our leaders don't know that things like these harmonize and bridge the gap of hate and marginalization being cried across the country. We politick with everything... **pukes** Congratulations to Kenya for this milestone attained. I was just thinking how our leaders have pressed the retrogressive button on this country with their nonchalant attitude while watching the launching of this Standard Gauge Railway by Kenyatta which was streamed live on Facebook by CGTN yesterday . |
double post. |
That's the den... we are the best and pacesetter. |
This is good. just wish the country will have proper restructuring so that states that are serving as leaches will find ways to harness and develop both the human and natural resources within their reach... |
What about Nigeria -India football brouhaha... that one is already engrained in the memory of our unborn generation. |
The Chinese are making giant strides in all spheres of life especially in technology while by beloved country is still stuck in stone age mentality. We are still falling from palm trees whereas the Chinese have been exploring the universe... O! Lord bless our leaders even with an atom of foresight. Explorer baba! lets explore together as I have taking the front seat in this cabin. |
Death dey hungry her... |
See fresh bobo for the other pix... Happy Married Life to the couples from the two major divides in the country. I hope NCAN will see this and abate their wanton attacks on each other. |
is that not Angela?

Educative! this is the kind of thread we need more on front page not all these celebs thread like the trending Banky and Etomi |
This thread has woken UP my interest in English again... LOL! |
Great! keep the coming... Gburugburu is definitely steering us to promise land. this is total overhauling of the state. |
I thought an OAU student came out to defend her school that they hardly record mass failures in their medical school when UNN released her medical results with paltry less than 50% passing recently... she even buttressed her points by brandishing some results which I think weren't recent. Many even said the lecturers in the east are sadists, what will they now say about this result? the lecturers in the West are 'sadbeasts' I guess. I just think its a Nigerian thing of making her student pass through furnace before answering that name 'a graduate'. |
